The property was so clean and quiet away from other hotels. It had a nice, relaxing vibe to it that I really loved. I didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and a great size, I got two beds even though I was one person, and it was a great stay! I’d absolutely stay here again.

I wish the water they placed in rooms were cold, and not room temperature. Chiang Mai was very hot when I visited in July.

Noisy Chinese people and no flexibility for breakfast menu. Why do I have to eat Western breakfast when I’m in Thailand?

Guest facilities were all lovely! Pool was lovely and deck chairs very comfy. Reception and dining area were nice. Room was clean and fit our needs.

We selected a corner room (for a cheaper rate) with pool view. We didn’t realise how dark the room would be as there was very little natural light, and a very very small balcony! However we were able to see the other rooms and they looked very nice. Would highly recommend paying more for one of these rooms, especially ground floor poolside rooms.

Lamphu House is an excellent value for money option. It is located at the heart of the historical center at a quiet side street. The swimming pool is amazing and the breakfast options are pretty good. Seven eleven and laundry service are just a few blocks away.

The credit card markup of 3% is not very customer friendly, but very common in Thailand. The curtain does not darken and it is very bright in the room after sunrise.

very good location, having a swimming pool is a plus with this weather. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and big enough for 2, with a nice balcony.

I make reservations , I chose breakfast included , normally they send me email, this time , I don’t get any email , when I go restaurant, they say I need pay 130 , very strange

The staffs are so friendly, helpful and always smiling. It's a simple hotel but really relax I could just stay in balcony or swimming pool side for whole day, l love here, I will back 😉

No fridge, no kettle, one room without enough hot water shower

Very comfortable bed. Hot, powerful shower, and cool bathroom that feels outdoors, with lots of plants around the glass. Nice pool area. Board games in the communal area and good fruit shakes included with breakfast. Quite quiet at night, even over NYE, which was great. We had a comfortable stay. Nice little porch area out the front of the room, and you can drink your own alcohol there which is great. They don't sell alcohol themselves, but there is a 7-11 nearby.

At the price point / standard of hotel, not having a kettle or fridge in the room is a bit unusual. It is a very bare room - nowhere to store clothes etc. Pool access rooms are not very private - have to have the dark curtain shut or people can see right in. When we arrived at noon they told us to come back at 2pm (advertised check in time). We came back at 2, and the room (in fact all the rooms) were not ready for another hour. All guests were sitting in the lobby waiting to check in. They also half closed the hotel for a party for the owner (we were mid board game and they asked us to leave the communal seating area where the game was all set up). Both of these things are understandable, but it was frustrating that they expected us to be so accommodating of them, but they were not at all accommodating of us. For example we asked to slightly change the breakfast to replace a sandwich with an egg, and they charged us 10 baht. We asked to leave a small backpack for 48 hours while we rode the scooter to Chiang dao. They wanted to charge us for this. It all just felt a bit unnecessary given the hotel is fairly expensive for the area, and given we were so flexible with the changes they required of us as customers. The reception staff in general were quite cold and unhelpful. Maybe some things to think about as a hospitality business.

super nice and clean rooms with lots of space and lovely balconies. pool is so clean and really lovely and spacious! staff were also great and very helpful, they printed out our visas for us and helped us to repair our New Years lantern. thank you for such a nice, peaceful stay!!
