Le logement est à deux pas de la plage ce qui permet de facilement en profiter. Ce logement correspond si vous souhaitez passer une nuit pour profiter du lagon avec les flamants rose mais ça s’arrête là, il n’y a rien à faire dans cette ville. Les 2 personnes qui nous ont accueillis étaient adorables et très serviables.

La propreté générale du logement est à revoir (crotte de souris, taches sur les draps…) Les repas sont facturés plutôt cher pour le pays et au vu de la quantité dans les assiettes.

[Birder review] Its a great place for birders, you can easily see some interesting birds at the property, such as the Vermilion Cardinal, Orinocan Saltator, Scaled Dove, Russet-throated Puffbird, Tropical Gnatcatcher and more. Seek Jose Luis Pushaina (@pushainabirder instagram) for a tour to the hard endemics. The beach is great, calm and "easy to swim" in the mornings, although it becomes a bit rough in the evenings due to strong winds.

Guajira is a remote place where water is scarce. This hotel is located in the overlap of a nature reserve and an indian reservation, so don't expect the access to nightlife and amenities that "tourist towns" offer in the region. This is a place to unplug, relax, and bird a little.

The quiet of the place . the cabanas. Lila and her husband who are running the place were amazing .

The hostess is an excellent person to deal with. The value is great.

The community surrounding the hotel grounds is in very poor condition.

Very friendly staff, nice location, owner sent video to show me how to get there. Nice "Aviaro" in back attracts cool local birds, but please keep the hummingbird feeder full!

Felt like a "bait and switch." My reservation was called this a "Holiday Home" but they planned to put me in small room between two other rooms with noisy guests in a small HOTEL (3 rooms only). There was a Holiday Home there but it was 3X the price. The TV in the dining area is on far too much and you can hear everything in the room above. Food was excellent but never ready when they said it would be (usually 30 min to 1 hour late).

Nice quiet spot away from the bustle of Boca de Camarones. Basically has a private beach, and a close walk to the Wayuu communities

On the second day we came down for dinner at 7pm and were told by the staff there was no dinner because they were tired. Book your dinner in early

We are birdwatchers and this place is in Camerones right where you want to be for the key La Guajira birds. We had many of the lifers we were looking for on the property, and getting to the other key sites is easy from here. The host was great, accommodating to our schedules and made good coastal food. Ample beach and solitude if that is what you are looking for.

Depending on the amount of rain, be aware that your vehicle might not be adequate to drive there. You have to drive on sand. We had a 4x4 and there were spots where it had trouble.

Nice location. Friendly woman working there. But the shower was really really horrible with toilet water coming out. It was listed as a holliday home, but it was just a small room.

Amazing beautiful secluded beach front, windy but quiet. The wonderful family living there will take great care of you...and the boys know many many things about birds and stars.a wonderful place to spend some time. I'd advise a few nights if you have time to relax. They can also organize someone to come fetch you for Flamingos in the early morning. Increíble

The house is a waterfront beach one, the family who work on the property are super kind, Sira is a good cook and we really looked forward to each meal. There is plenty of space to laze about, the beach is long and good for walks. Amazing shells can be found on the beach. The best part of the house is the bedroom, which was nice and had a good bed. The house is spacious and has a nice deck with hammocks. The excursions offered by the property have a good price. The flamingo tour we took one morning was wonderful.

We had a good time at this place, but this is not a "villa", it is more like a beach house left by your hippie uncle who cared neither about aesthetics nor comfort. The space is very basic, it lacked many things we saw on the photos of the property (no fridge, no TV, no ping pong table, for example, only cold water for shower), and although it was cleaned before our arrival, the furniture and windows were not clean (photos attached). The floor and furniture need repair and a good wash, and so do the windows. Bring your own supply of water, it is quite expensive to buy it here, and there are zero shops anywhere where one can walk. These have nothing to do with the property itself, but are relevant for travelers: do not expect to swim on this beach, the water is full of sand, and the beach further away from the property is full of trash. The whole area is full of trash, and locals seem to dump their household garbage directly into the beautiful lagoon nearby, really tragic.
