Comfortable bed, AC worked perfectly, kitchen etc well set up…. All was a comfortable place to come back to after a day of touristing. Thank you!

The property was so cute and charming. The little cute cozy one bedroom we stayed in was perfection. Location to all the attractions, restaurants and the historic downtown Chattanooga area was all within minutes. Close enoyght to all the action but quiet enough to have that cabin/cottage feel of Tennessee. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend

Loved everything about the weekend. Bear House 1820 was perfect for the two of us. All the extras were so nice. Coffee ,creamer , sweetener, and snacks. But the shower was my favorite. So relaxing and perfect, after a day of walking. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Just as advertised. Easy walk to several GREAT restaurants and just a couple of miles to Chattanooga. Central to lots of activities!

Second time staying here. Bear house is simply perfect. Great location, great hosts. It is a joy to stay here. The grounds are welcoming, with plenty of places to sit and chat with your group, or new friends! Parking is right there. The rooms are always clean, and well stocked with coffee and snacks. Just wish they had a bear house in other cities that we travel to!!!!!

Property was very clean, neat, tidy, and very comfortable. The host was great, extremely knowledgeable about the area and fun to talk to. Great overall experience. Glad we stayed at this property.

This property is perfect for visiting Chattanooga! We were able to do all the sightseeing on Lookout Mountain and go downtown Chattanooga, both locations within 10 minutes. It made it convenient to stop by between activities and change our clothes or put shopping away. we were able to walk to dinner on our first night and explore the cute area of Saint Elmo. I highly recommend this location for visiting Chattanooga.

The Carriage house was exactly as pictured. Very comfortable and well stocked for our short stay. It was located close to great restaurants and not far to downtown Chattanooga. We enjoyed Ruby Falls and would have explored more but it wouldn’t stop raining!!

This place had everything we needed for a 3-night stay. It is small, cozy, and perfect for 2 people. We hiked, biked to the riverwalk path, and ate a few meals all within walking distance.

This was such a great place. Very clean and convenient. I walked to eating and coffee shops. Downtown Chattanooga was very close. I love "old" magazines and there was a stack of them in the LR!! I ate pizza and ice cream and read books for 3 days. Great vacation! I will be back to see the gardens. I want to adopt the owners! Great people!

Property was well stocked with items that may be needed, very clean and in a great neighborhood with well kept houses from 1885 and near several restaurants that were within walking distance.

The Sherfey Suite is probably their smallest Suite, but it was nicely decorated and had everything you could need to have an enjoyable stay.

The host was a really sweet lady, and office person was so friendly. The apt was clean and very well decorated. There were nice touches such as a few snacks and bottled water. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to use them again.

Space very small, reduced no way to cook a meal nothing near for groceries not coming back to that place. We left the property 5 days early 😡😡. Hot water not even enough for a shower to many things to list. We not coming back to this place again

I love The Bear House. This is our second time staying here. The Loft and The Shurvey. Both were excellent. I love the owners and the little things that are added in each space to make our stay comfortable - like sound machines, extra rugs so your feet don’t get cold, snacks, etc. The owners are so sweet and friendly. We will be back again!

One of the best stays yet. Charming beautiful property very quiet, spectacular host id love to stay here again it was just so beautiful, i wish i could have seen all the Christmas decorations this host does but i was a bit to soon, this is a spectacular clean and very inviting home

My husband and I stayed in the "Sherfey Suite", which is the first floor of the carriage house, while visiting my sister and her family who live on Lookout Mountain. This was my third stay at the Bear House, which is always a wonderful visit. Clean, safe, well-decorated .... and that cute garden! Beautiful job, Steve and Sharman Sherfey, on all the years of taking great care of your guests.

I came to Chattanooga for a quick getaway from Atlanta. The Sherfey Suite was the perfect size for me and I really, really appreciated that it had a full kitchen (with spices!). The suite is a little quirky, but very clean and would be spacious for one or two people. It's literally at the base of Lookout Mountain, there are restaurants and attractions in walking distance and it's less than 10 minutes to get to downtown Chattanooga. If you have difficulties with stairs or movement or balance, you may not want to stay in the Sherfey Suite - the shower/tub is raised nearly a foot off the floor and it might be very tricky to get in and out of if you aren't physically stable. (But I hope you'd find another suite that suits you at the Bear House - it really is so charming, and such a nice place to stay.) Had a great time, will definitely recommend to my friends and would love to come back again!

The bear house was lovely. Everything was better than expected. We could have not found a more centralized location, nothing was more the 15 minutes away. I would highly recommend the bear house

This was the perfect place to stay. Close to the course and clean and relaxing. Only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay!

This cozy carriage house one bedroom was everything we needed. The location was ideal, within walking distance to restaurants. The carriage house was neat and clean and looked just as advertised. It was well equipped with everything we could need a more. We would definitely stay here again.

We were in town for a weekend event and loved our stay at The Bear House. So comfortable, all the amenities and some extras that made our time there a treat. Great hosts and a very comfortable, pleasant stay! We hope to return again!

We stayed at the Bear House for 4 nights and it was just perfect. Great location for all our activities around Lookout Mountain and close to restaurants in Chattanooga. Quiet and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The cottage was just as pictured on line with beautiful setting areas outside... The cottage had lots of detailed "extras" that made the stay very comfortable. We could hear the guests above us walking around if we were inside during the day but at night .. when sleeping we didnt hear anything.. would definitely stay here again!

Best vacation stay we have had thus far. Our hosts thought of everything and our apartment was very comfortable. Beautifully decorated and the grounds as well. Will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.
