Bed comfortable. Room with AC. Outdoor is beautiful with a nice view over the valley.

1. Location on google map was wrong. Access to the farm, through the gate, was a puzzle with no one picking the phone. 2. Room is not what I booked. I booked a Luxury Apartment with private "seating area" and other amenities. I was surprised with a room with a bed and a chair with no side table next to the chair for a cup to be placed on. 3. No coffee machine. No breakfast. One cannot cross the property walking to the coffee shops (they consider it private access) so you will have to take your car and drive around the farm to go to the main road to reach the coffee shops. 4. Sad communication: When I tried to communicate and meet the hosts (who live on the same property) to show them my booking, I was ignored. I eventually gave up and simply asked for a simple side table for my cup. I was then told "it is what it is". They live few steps away and wouldn't bother to come to see you and listen to you. 5. I objected to this situation as it was weird and unprofessional, so I was told I am "free to go if I don't like it" and will be refunded. Two months later, I had to complain to Booking.com about not receiving a refund (they kept ignoring my messages although they asked for my bank account details). Booking.com sorted the issue immediately following reviewing the messages. PLEASE make sure what you book is what you get.

location was superb, the host was really friendly, we loved the style of the place (nice decoration)

We stayed at Quinta Pedra Firme with our sons (12 and 9) in August. We had a large two bedroom, two storey property, which was spacious and comfortable for us all. Paul and Marie were very welcoming and helpful, and we really felt like we were sharing in the calm and beauty of the whole property. The pool was a hit with the boys, creating a highlight each day after time spent exploring the area. The weather was incredible, allowing us to enjoy trips to Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Praia das Maçãs (although the sea is FREEZING, even after a very hot summer!). We also enjoyed a couple of great meals at Ribeirinha de Colares, a short walk from the property. Highly recommended.

Some very minor improvements to the property would be a plug for the kitchen sink, washing up liquid (to negate buying a large bottle for four days!), and an airer to dry clothes - but these were minor inconveniences.

the deluxe suite for 2 is located at ground floor between other houses. Unless you pull down all curtains, privacy is limited. Despite a ventilator, the bath room is damp due to its location in the middle of houses. There is a faint smell of moisture that goes up to the bedroom. Minimalistic furniture in both 4-person family room and deluxe suite. No dish washer, no place to hang wet towels or swim shorts,… Cooking only works if you do the basics. The description says washing machine on demand, but that is not true. You need to find on your own the laundry service in the village nearby.

No plug for the sink to do the dishes :-). But I am sure they would have arranged that if we would have asked.

Lovely spacious apartment, nicely furnished and appointed. Friendly and helpful hosts. Nice garden and pool area.

We were woken up both nights of our stay around 1:30am and then an hour later on the second evening, by garage doors and clanging gates, extremely loud talking and laughing right outside the bedroom window. These were not other hotel guests but (I believe) family and friends of the hosts.

Hosts were amazing, and the little dog Jack was super cute and friendly! Honestly this was the best stay I’ve had anywhere and I’ve travelled a lot.

I liked everything

It wasn't straightforward to find the precise location but when we finally arrived, we were Initially impressed with the 'feel' of the place. The initial 'show of attention' to detail made the subsequent 4 night stay quite irritating. There was minimal attention to detail. Room wasn't made up at all during out stay. I cannot understand why a room with a toilet/shower was called a 'Suite'. Nowhere to put things - no surfaces. Kettle included, but no consumables. Had to plug the kettle in on the floor after unplugging tv ... Don't do tv anyway. The door to the room needed a good hammering before it opened. The shower door didn't fit. Nowhere to hang dressing gown or own toiletries when using facilities. Nice puppy left us a present on the stairs one evening and wasn't cleaned up until late moring. Car park a fair slog from the room. We didn't dare use the swimming pool as it was too cold, but we would not have used it anyway because it looked a bit dirty.. Air con was very good. Room looked nice. Bed comfortable. Lovely views.

The property was way overpriced.

Beautiful property with Vineyards. The hosts are great, very accommodating, ready to help at all times. The property is in a perfect location with its own microclimate and not far from the beach. Well equipped room and kitchen.

this property was nothing short of amazing. the hosts are professional, passionate, engaging, and beyond helpful. it is the most beautiful property with a lot of heart and soul pouring out of every detail! we were sad to leave, and are very much looking forward to returning!
