Celia's service was exceptional. She is warm and friendly and made us feel at home right away. Breakfast was a treat and absolutely delicious, especially Celia's homemade muesli. Selkirk House made provision for gluten and dairy free products.

The hostess and staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountain with a deck to lie in the sun. The facilities all-round were amazing, with lots of lounging space and a properly stocked honesty bar.

Everything was perfekt. The House Managerin was very very kindly. We Love her.

The location. Green hill backdrop to this smart designer stone and clean lined surfaces set in a quiet road with equally smart houses. Good parking at the property. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious some with their own outdoor space. All have air con and fitted wooden shutters. Roomy fridges kettle and coffee machine are standard. Breakfast is copious and cooked to your request and of course a cold buffet is also laid out in the bright breakfast room leading out to the pool and terrace. We took two rooms with King size beds. Both were different in layout but equally comfortable. The star of this property is the host Celia for whom nothing is too much trouble. A naturally kind an talented lady. We two friends spent 8 nights here at Selkirk House. We know Hermanus well and we agreed this is the best we’ve stayed in.

Everything! The house blew us away and Celia the host was amazing - so welcoming, friendly, accommodating and helpful! She went out of her way just to be so helpful with arranging things. The room was also massive! We couldn't have asked for more, we just wished we stayed longer
