The views were phenomenal, the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. We absolutely loved our time at La Estancia.

The walk to the hotel from the port is approx. 40mins, some of it up a very steep hill. 100% worth it when we got to the hotel though!

Amazing lodge on Isla sel Sol with stunning views on lake Titicaca. Friendly staff. The room was very confortable, perfectly clean and well equipped considering the location / type of stay. Breakfast and dinner (included in the room rate) were excellent !

Beautiful location, a short walk to the mountain view point where you can see a breathtaking sunset. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and views. Fantastic food! Dinner and breakfast included, my family absolutely loved it! Friendly and very helpful hostess who made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much for a memorable stay.

Shortly after the booking the Ecolodge already contacted us and asked us how we get to the island and if we need a transport. They would have also get our luggage from the port to the Ecolodge because it takes around 30' by foot. We were welcomed with coffee, tea and a fresh juice!! Our lodge was beautiful and very clean. Also the dinner and breakfast was amazing - they made something special for us because we're vegan. 10/10 - we would totally come back!

Great communication from staff before the stay. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and the property has stunning views. Staff were helpful with walking routes and making teas for altitude sickness. The dinner and breakfast were delicious - some of the best food we’ve had in Bolivia. Although it was a 40 min fairly uphill walk to get there, we found it fine as we had left our big bags in copacabana and we enjoyed the views on the way and took it slowly.

There was no hairdryer or WiFi in the bedrooms. There was a minor glitch as we were told staff would meet us at the port but no one was there on arrival. We got directions from port staff though and it was fairly straight forward.

The room was simple and clean. The bathroom was newly renovated and beautiful.

I was offered and requested assistance with my luggage to get up to the hotel but no one was there when my boat arrived. It took almost 2 hours to get to the hotel from the port. I had booked in August for a stay in January and ended up in a room with a partial view. Seating for dinner was mainly communal for the whole hotel. The time for dinner had changed between the 1st and 2nd nights of my stay but I was not informed. I showed up on time on the 1st night and waited over half an hour for food. On the 2nd night I was late and ended up eating at the bar/checkin desk because there was no where else for me to sit. They did not have enough fish for all of the guests which would have been my preferred meal. The room itself was very cold most of the time. When I was checking out I also requested help with my luggage to the port. My bag was not at the port and it took nearly an hour of phone calls to figure out that it had been sent on the wrong boat. My phone did not work in Bolivia and I told them this but they sent me to the mainland with instructions to meet a tour guide with my bag. The tour guide was not there. I ended up finding a local who spoke English and contacted the hotel to figure out where my bag had ended up. It was still on the boat that they had not told me the name of before I left the island.
