I was here for an extended stay from Nov - early Dec with Hostel Tommy. The staff are friendly and helpful who are able to assist you if you can't speak Korean. Tommy was also helpful to share some recommendations with me when he found out that I was heading to Busan after my stay here at the hostel. It is also in the middle of a bustling neighborhood in Ikseondong which has a good variety of bakeries, bars, restaurants, and local pochas if that's something you'd like to experience. I would overall recommend this place for travellers who are looking for an accomodation option that's good value for money.

The location is conveniently located just above a Seven Eleven, with only walking distance to various tourist hotspots (Changdeokgung Palace, Ikseon-dong, Insadong) & easy access to public transportation such as MRT (closest station is Jongno 3-ga) & bus. The staffs there are all super friendly, made it easy for us to feel like at home (even the owner, Tommy, was often there & up for a quick chat with the guests, to make sure everything's ok with their rooms). The self-service breakfast was also a great added value, we can meet & chat with other guests in the common/dining area so it was nice. The room itself was OK, a bit tight space for 4 adults but we managed as we fully aware of the layout & setup with bunkbed. They can clean the room for additional fee & you have to inform in advance (maybe D-1) to make sure they arrange something with the houskeeping team. Overall great experience!

The location of the place is superb, close to the metro and many point of interests, including bars and eateries - I found also some delicious vegan places nearby. I enjoyed my stay at the hostel, the facility has everything you need, with shared spaces to use and meet people from everywhere. This place is really for everyone, from families to solo travellers, and during breakfast (which is basic but always nice to have a warm cup of coffee and some toast in the morning) you can have a quick chat with other travellers before being ready for the day. The temperature of the room was perfect and the shower had good water pressure, plus it was very quiet. Shout out to the staff which was there to help and suggest you places to visit. Thank you, hope to visit again in the future!

If you like big body towels bring yours since it seems very common (found also in other facilities) to use small towels.

We had a great start to our time in Korea in Tommys Hostel. The room was clean and comfortable, the lobby/breakfast area is small, but feels very home-ly, we could wash and dry our clothes and Tommy was generally very helpful and generous. The location is perfect (close to public transport, airport bus, cool sights, loads of restaurants), yet calm.

Location is close to the tourist spots, good cafés, even the metro station. It’s easy to go around, safe area too! Tommy is nice and helpful, the hostel is cozy, the room where I stayed is clean and comfortable! The free breakfast is a plus. Will stay again on my next visit. Thank you!

地下鉄 ジョンロサンガ出口7番、仁川空港バス6011停留所から どちらも徒歩5分以内でとっても便利！一階にコンビニが有りますが ホステルの中もお水、お湯など24時間自由です。有名な観光地、仁寺洞までの道のりも全て徒歩圏内です。周囲におしゃれなバーやカフェが多いですが 少し行くとジョンロやウルジロの昔からの美味しい食堂も楽しめます！ オーナーのTommy さんやスタッフの皆さんはフレンドリーで荷物の上げ下げも快く手伝ってくれました。Tommy さんは英語だけでなく日本語も上手です! 困った困ったことがあったら親切に教えてくれます。部屋は清潔で使いやすかったです。タオルも自分で交換できます。洗濯機/乾燥機も屋上にあるので助かりました！ネットの繋がりも良いです 行った時 欧米人のお客さんしかいませんでしたが、皆さん騒いだりせず 静かに滞在している人ばかりで夜もゆっくり休めました。 Hostel は世界中色々いきましたが 本当に素晴らしい場所でした Tommy さん スタッフの皆さんありがとうございました。

De ligging was perfect! Je zit erg dicht bij Hanok village, het paleis en bekende cafetjes zoals cafe Onion en Artist bakery. Ook kon je lopend naar Myeongdong (+-25min). Naast het hostel zat een 7/11 wat ook altijd fijn is. Ze hebben een self serve ontbijtje wat ook handig is. Verder was de kamer ruim en koelde de airco heel snel af! Ik vond het top!

De douchekop bleef niet goed hangen, maar als je hem eenmaal goed in de houder had had je er bijna geen last van.

The location was superb. Easy to find, easy to access, lots of great activities in the vicinity. They were very kind to us at the hostel. There is a washing room on the rooftop which came in really handy. All in all, excellent value for the price.

Our room was small. We knew it would be, it was well described and photographed. I think it's a good choice for a couple of days but for a longer stay, we would pick a bigger one next time.

The location is amazing, very close to metro station and to main tourist attractions. Beds were comfortable, pretty big bathroom

Breakfast served was only sweet items, we had the room cleaned one time during our stay and it was not the best cleaning - especially in the bathroom where behind doors was very dirty and hair on the floor.

The room was just right in size, clean, comfortable bed, smart tv, floor heating, instructions in English for everything (heating, cleaning, washing, facilities). The check in and out process is so easy and the common space is nice and fun. There is a big fridge and tags if you want to store some food. The host is such a nice person, always making sure everything is ok and we enjoy the stay. The location and value for money is great.

Tommy is extremely friendly and helpful. The hostel is well equipped and has a large communal area where you can also have coffee/tea etc & cook. There’s also a great roof top area with washing facilities & a great hammock for relaxing in the sun!

Great hostel in a perfect location, close to the metro station and to the one of the palaces. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was small but clean.

Breakfast is basic, toast & cereals. Worth to add some fresh fruits or savory options.

Overall, it’s clean mostly. Personally, there are some room for cleanliness to improve. The shower curtain can be cleaned up, and the fan in the shower room could be kept tuen on so that a small room can be ventilated.

The central location of the hostel, the nice staff

The ambiance and atmosphere are really nice, pleasant. Everything is neat. The staff is great and Tommy himself is just a marvelous host. You can do laundry (washer and dryer - 1000krw each), there's basic breakfast (coffe, cereal, toast) but you can also cook yourself anything you like as there's a 7eleven just next to the hostel, so you can always grab some groceries or a quick bite. Also, for the location, I can't stress enough how good it is. For example the entrance to the Changdeokgung palace is just down the street, the Insadong Street is really near, and you have a subway station where three lines cross (really important, makes traveling way easier) just 200-300m away. Overall, I would definitely stay again and highly recommend the place.
