I don’t know much about the Shilla’s history but stepping into the hotel felt like I was stepping into an institution. It is outdated though, but it comes across as cozy rather than grimy because of the upkeep. It’s outstandingly clean. The service at reception isn’t the greatest compared to other high-end hotels in Seoul. We weren’t told about details such as needing to book breakfast beforehand if we wanted to pay the guest price, or that there’s a car service between the parking and the hotel. They did end up giving us the guest price for breakfast though to amend for their mistake, but parking is a hassle if you have a car. You have to park and either wait for a car to take you up the hill to the hotel, or make your way up a very long staircase.

Spectacular view on N Seoul Tower and mountain, room is well sized with wardrobe and very comfortable desk, bedding is extremely comfortable and the mattress and pillows are incredibly soft, all toiletries are from Molton Brown, gym has all the equipment and helpful staff, swimming pool is excellent, the room is properly cleaned twice a day. Staff is extremely professional and friendly, willing to go extra to help us with any questions. Concierge service is one of the best I have experienced globally. We had breakfast and dinner at The Parkview- it serves the most delicious and sophisticated food. The Library bar has a fantastic view, serves delicious coffee and live music and signing takes place in the evening. Dongguk University Station is 5 mins walk and Namsan hiking route is 15 mins walk away. Hotel has a selection of amazing luxury shops on the basement floor, including contemporary fashion designers. The Shilla has a wonderful Korean art displayed including Park Seo-Bo and Lee Bae.

We would love more storage space/shelves for clothes.

予約時ダブルでしたが、ツインに変更できたのは良かったです。 ラウンジが以前より空いていた。

ラウンジからのテイクアウトコーヒーができなくなったのが残念。新羅ホテルはEXT.ROOMでもコーヒーマシンがないのでマシンを置いてほしい。 スパに行くのでシャンプーなど人数分おいてほしいのに、4連泊でも人数分置いてくれなかった。 スパにシャワーキャップ、ヘアブラシなど置いてなかった。スパの備品が貧弱に感じた。 シャトルバスも金曜17時台（東大門コース）が交通渋滞が酷いとのことでカットされ、私達は1時間ほど待ち続け、タクシー空車もなく、歩いて帰った。ソウルは空車が少なく、予約できそうない者はシャトルバスがあると安心して出かけます。交通便の悪い新羅ホテルはシャトルバスは欠航させてはいけないと思う。

The Shilla was excellent. Service was outstanding - every staff member I met was warm and friendly and remembered my name which made my stay feel extra special. I loved the wellness centre - a variety of facilities and I could spend a lot of time there. I used the pool, jacuzzis, sauna and gym. Impressive facilities and very spacious even compared to many 5 star hotels I visited.

The hotel is very clean, located in the central so it was easy to get around. All staff were very friendly. I'll definitely book again next time I'm in Seoul

it was gorgeous with the Korean traditional architecture and a modern twist. The staff were really nice and professional yet personable. Highly recommend.

I liked the clean room

The customer service is teribble. All they care about is money. Very bad attitude especially at the reception. I would not recommend to anybody. Hayat Regency was cheaper and yet great customer service.

We love the place! When we arrived they upgraded our room because we checked-in a bit early and it was the room that’s available on our arrival. The location was perfect! It’s close with everything! Our window view is Namsan Tower and we can even see the whole view of the pool. The facilities are excellent! They have a gym, indoor pool and outdoor pool and they have staff literally everywhere! The staff were lovely and welcoming as well. The room we stayed were pretty big with a separate lounge area. They have toiletries and always re-filled them everyday. The place also have like an old historic building on the entrance. I don’t really know what it’s called but it was fascinating to me. If you want to shop in the most luxurious way, no worries they have Hermés shop literally in the building! The staff also helped us translate to the taxi driver where we wanted to go.

Feels very luxurious - clean and modern look and feel - the executive lounge was a great place to hang out for afternoon tea - the gym and wellness areas were truly excellent

For such a large and established hotel the service was not always 100% there. Staff were very polite and eager to chat, but one day our room did not get cleaned, and the taxi service in front of the hotel was quite chaotic (there was an event when we were there so that may have made things worse, but it is a bit galling if you have to wait for a taxi for 20 mins)
