It is just 20 mins from Nong Khai but feels world's away. Just perfect for relaxation, downtime, reading, writing or just watching Mekong Life drift by. Nokhuuk also cooks lovely meals (for a very reasonable price) if you like although there is a small restaurant just up the road (five min walk). We loved her cooking though and would recommend it. The view from the room/balcony and the separate shared kitchen are outstanding. The room has a perfectly adequate shower room and is super clean. Also has a great sized fridge/freezer which is really helpful. Air con and the fan came in handy and the door to the balcony has the all important mosquito nets/doors. There's nothing that Nokhuuk hasn't thought of. Unobstructed views of the Mekong (and its sunrises/sunsets) and of her lovely garden and its bird and insect life. We stayed two nights but would stay longer if we had more time. She is such a wonderful host. Don't miss it - You won't regret staying here!
