The house is very nice and cozy, and it is not far from the train station, which is at a one-stop call from the Airport, or you can choose the shuttle service provided, which is very fast, but also quite expensive, so I suggest you take the train. The room is ok, but it wasn't super clean. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed it. Breakfast is nice and everything tastes very good, including the eggs, which are made on request by the host. Is not a full continental or English breakfast but it is absolutely worth it.

When the host asked us at what time we would check in, we said that we were going to be arriving at about Midnight, but when we got there the front door was locked and there was no way to get in. We pushed the emergency call botton many times and called the telephone number, but no one ever answered. After about 15-20 minutes of calling, the door finally opened and we were able to enter the house. I think it would be easier to put an auto check in system, like a personal code to the door or similar, because we were very scared we could not be able to get in the house. Also, the bathroom was not super clean, I found a few hair in the shower walls and on the towels. The towels themselves were not very clean and they had large brownish spots. At breakfast, after we said that we didn't want anymore toast, we changed our mind and asked for another piece of toast, but the reaction was quite rude and the host rolled his eyes and said he was going to do it after a while. I get that he was doing something else but the reaction was frankly quite rude.

Great hosts. The room was nicely decorated, clean close to the airport.

Late arrival catered for. Handy for station into London and Kings Cross and the North. Plentiful milk for tea and coffee

Personally not keen on continental quilts with feathers in them. Too hot for me.

This place was a genuine surprise. Arriving late in the evening after a long day work the host was exceptionally accommodating and the facilities over and above my expectations for a near London accommodation.

Taking my back up the narrow steps but the host was more than happy to help me!

Convenient location, accessible by train easily in 2 minutes from Gatwick South Terminal. Owner very accommodating. Great neighbourhood. Had we had the time for a jog in the morning, would have been precious.

Price was dear for one night, understanding that the Guest House receives one-night customers and have to clean up the room every day, still was a bit expensive.

The host was very welcoming and very helpful. He offered to pick up from the airport and was prompt in his response when we called him from the airport. Excellent service

This guest house was booked by my employer as needed to be near gatwick airport. I would highly recomend this guest house! The location was great, it was super clean and the owners were lovely.

The hosts were excellent. We were having trouble figuring out transportation to the airport since the train was later than when we needed to be at the airport. The host spoke with us late at night and figured out a last minute ride for us.

The train to the airport didn’t run as often as I had thought. We were staying just for the night to catch an early morning flight out of Gatwick, but it was only a 5 min drive so once transportation was figured out it was perfect

I prefer continental breakfast, so I was happy with it. Location is perfect, close to the train station and airport, hotel is very pretty, surrounded by trees in a quiet area. And of course the host is the most charming and helpful person

Our bed was a little firm, didn't prevent us having a good night's sleep though.

Friendly owner,chatted about history of house. I was shown pictures of the school children and how building looked prior to refurbishing. I felt it was a modern touch on a very old property,with lots of original features of the building intact. Fantastic location to fly from Gatwick,highly recommend.

shower v small no room to move for anyone a little bigger than normal sink drainage was v poor having a shave & took ages to drain away bit disappointing no cooked breakfast sadly doesn’t tell you this until u have booked I understand there religion but continental breakfast was good thou!!!

The room was comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was ample and tasty and the Guest House is situated very conveniently near Gatwick

A couple of light bulbs were missing overhead and the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working

Lovely, comfortable and clean room. All amenities were perfect. We could not have wised for a better host, Quasim was friendly and very helpful. Quasim organised a taxi for us to Gatwick airport. I would highly recommend staying at The Lawn Guesthouse and would definitely book again if traveling from Gatwick. My car was safely parked at the property.
