We spent the holiday with our college aged kids, and it was just wonderful! The property gave us the space we needed, the flexibility to cook, a huge table to play games on, decks to enjoy the sun, and convenience to everything. Thank you so much!

Highly recommend this property! The community is quiet, yet centrally located. The views are incredible and serene. The accommodations make you feel like home and the hosts are great communicators! What else does one need? Do yourself a favor and book this one.

Loved our stay. Cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. TY! Tall porch chairs are great. Would be nice to have 4 with arms on smaller deck outside queen bed room. It would be helpful to have written instructions for TV that we could have used. That was our only issue. Thank you so much for a great stay. Dorothy

The condo is as advertised. It is professionally decorated with quality furniture and fun artwork on all the walls. The kitchen is well equipped and absolutely clean. We enjoyed the water views on both sides of the condo. My favorite thing was sitting on the deck listening to the water lap in the marina. The deck furniture was top quality and clean. The owners have obviously paid attention to detail. The location was close to all the historical sights we wanted to see. Of all the condos I have ever rented, this one is the nicest. We would love to stay here again in the future.

From the moment we booked, until the moment we checked out, we had an exceptional experience. The hosts offered a list of places to eat and things to do beforehand, simplifying vacation planning. We used many of their recommendations, and loved each of them. The property was very disability friendly, being all on one floor, with an elevator that went right from the parking spot to the front door. The rental was clean, well maintained, and offered incredible views, comfortable beds, and all the amenities we needed. The surrounding area was also wonderful! Downtown Manteo was darling, with lots of quaint shops and places to eat and benches to stop and take it all in. We'll definitely be back.

The unit itself is very nicely furnished and quite spacious. It's located close enough to Manteo proper for easy access to and from town. The hosts were very accommodating leaving/emailing us ample information about the area, and it's places of interest for tourists including choice dining recommendations...which were spot on. We had been to OBX many times before but our friends had not. Although very familiar with the area, the hosts still provided some interesting information that we also found most useful.

Perfect location. Something for everyone. Great for those that want to enjoy a piece of mind and just close enough for those that want to enjoy a bit more. Close to beaches, shops, fishing, boat tours, restaurants, etc. Awesome views!!

The condo was one of the best rentals we have done through VRBO. The location was great; peaceful and quiet, yet still close to everything. The unit itself was clean and well appointed. The owners were responsive and a pleasure to work with. They provided us a list of suggestions for things to do, places to eat, etc. That were very helpful. We really enjoyed our vacation!

Our family enjoyed our first trip to the Outer Banks at Sounds Fishy! It's a beautiful and spacious condo near the waters of the bay in Manteo. The place was really clean, well kept, and provided all the comforts you can have in a home away from home. The owners were very nice and informative in our communications. We definitely would like to stay at Sounds Fishy again when we come back to the Outer Banks and highly recommend to others!

Everything about this trip was perfect! The location, the size and expectation of this property were all spot on. Although not beach front, the location allowed us to try different beaches each day. Our family of 5 had plenty of room to be comfortable and the layout was exactly as listed. I highly recommend!!

We chose to stay in Manteo as a central location so we could explore Corolla, Duck as well as Pea Island, Hatteras and Ocracoke. The location was perfect, right over the bridge, and so close to a great coffee place, right on the water to watch the sunset over the bay, and close to downtown Manteo for some shopping and the light house, plus Kill Devil Rum distillery! We also took two rides to the mainland to see the bear at the Alligator River Refuge.
The condo was clean, spacious and perfect for our family! We highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo in Manteo. The online pictures do not do it justice. It was spotless upon our arrival, was inviting and comfortable, and had everything we needed during our stay. Robert and Lisa were very easy to work with, and responded to all of our questions in a timely manner. The check in/check out process was very easy. The condo is in a great location and provided beautiful views of the sound and the marina. We would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in vacationing in the Outer Banks!

This was our first visit to OBX, and we loved it. The condo is immaculate and beautifully decorated, and the views from the balconies are gorgeous. There are groceries, restaurants, and shops within walking distance.
We were at first disappointed that the hot tub is not operational, but as it turned out, we were so busy I don't know when we would have had time to use it!
We did a tour to see the wild horses, went fishing with Backin' Up Sportfishing Charters, went on an airboat ride, and took the ferry to visit Okracoke! The kids enjoyed playing pool and ping pong at the clubhouse.
Robert and Lisa were very easy to communicate with, and provided compensation for a minor inconvenience.
We would most definitely stay here again.

The stay was amazing. The condo was immaculate, cozy, and in a great location. It was so relaxing to sit outside and listen to the waves crash. My family and I highly recommend this condo!

We had an excellent week in Manteo. Property was just as described, everything in excellent condition. Great views in all directions, kids and grandparents both loved the birdwatching from the balcony. Had bikes delivered and they were ready and waiting, easy paths to get into downtown Manteo plus the north parts of Roanoke Island. Easy access to food, historic sites, waterfronts, and quick drives to both sound and beach access was great.
Went to quite a few of the places recommended by our hosts and all were excellent. Just had to be a little careful about times and days everything was open since it was technically off-season.

Location on the Sound has beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Neighborhood is quiet and secure. Condo has ELEVATORS, which is a very important amenity for us old folks with fake knees.
The internet pictures don't do this condo justice. It has obviously been remodeled recently and the decor is stylish and current. It is immaculately clean, beautifully bright with natural light, and has everything a renter could possibly need.
Our unit had its own designated parking and there is a quality restaurant right on the property. Downtown Manteo is a few blocks away!
Communication with the owners was polite and professional. Check-in and check-out were seamless. This will be our go-to condo for future OBX visits, which we do several times per year.
Looking forward to "seeing you" then!

Sounds Fishy
Robert & Lisa were very helpful with the entire rental process, the condo is AMAZINGLY beautifully decorated and very well equipped. I strongly recommend bringing your boat if staying in this beautiful little harbor called Shallowbag bay! I could easily move in tomorrow and never go home! You will Love it here!

Relaxing and Beautifully Decorated
Our family fished out of Wanchese. This location was not only perfect for getting to the dock but was also very spacious and beautiful. We had plenty of room and loved that each bedroom had it's own balcony access for relaxing. Dining is within walking distance. We felt at home and had more than expected. Robert was also friendly and responsive in a timely manner.

Kitchen well equipped and we were able to cook few simple meals. Has beautiful views from both front and back balconies. Walking distance to downtown which has nice shopping, eateries, bike rentals, para sailing, ferry to dolphin watch and breathtaking views of the sound. Overall, very nice and relaxing vacation.
