La carte avec les restaurants et activités a Nuevo Arenal sur la terrasse et également dans la chambre a travers d'un dé en bois avec QR code qui donne accès au menu des restaurants. Jamais vu ça auparavant. TROP TOP. MEILLEUR ENDROIT LORS DE NOTRE SEJOUR AU COSTA RICA. Gracias Carlos, lo hemos pasado realmente bien y te agradecemos toda tu atención. Failli oublier un point très important nous avons vu plus d'oiseaux et de variétés lors de nos petits déjeuner a Donna Rossa que dans les parcs nationaux.........

Wonderful welcoming host, well appointed spacious suite, good views from balcony, comfortable home, tasty breakfast, clean and secure. Short walk into the Main Street of town, close to waterfront park by 2 min car ride.

From the first moment in it feels like home far away from home 😍 After a long travel abroad I could reduce my homesickness a bit, as I could speak Swiss German with Werner. The hosts Carlos and Werner are so friendly! They help with ideas, what to do in the area and booking of trips. And don‘t even think about not having breakfast there. It was the best breakfast I had since… I think it‘s better than what I cook for myself 😅 So creative with combining the flavours and every day a different dish 😋 Thank you so much for the great time in Nuevo Arenal and your home!

Everything was perfect, working, clean, and above expectations equipped. My first and so far only 10/10 stay. This is a jewel of a B&B. A true home feeling far away from home with the arenal adventures reasonably close and the best breakfast experience I had so far. Carlos is a super host, helping with all we needed, tour suggestions and reservations. From the front porch we could observe an armadillo, an opossum, and a family of toucans. Nuevo arenal is peaceful, quiet, feels safe, and is child friendly. Lighted sidewalks, kids playground with two good restaurants next to it, and a quite clean and nice lake access nearby gave our kids a relaxing break of travelling during our 5-night stay at Casa Donna Rosa. If we travel through Costa Rica again, we will definitely rebook.

The only details I regret is that we did not have the chance to get to know Werner, and that we were not able to visit this romantic Paradise before kids: Carlos' breakfast with a little champagne on their terrace is prime Honeymoon material!

This B&B was very relaxing, clean and comfortable and has a beautiful large garden. One of the highlights was Carlos who is a wonderful host and chef cook! The breakfast was delicious and we even managed to spot some toucans from our breakfast table. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Carlos's house is a gem as well as the host himself. A real homestay, tastefully furnished. His brekkies are real French cusine, never twice the same. Evenings at the balcony, or the morning bird visits are beautiful. Spaceusness, spotless cleanness. Ideal locaton if you wish to access Arenal, Monteverde and maybe Tenorio/Rio Celeste from one base. Good day trip ideas we got. The eateries Carlos recommends also are very good.

Werner and Carlos were great hosts and gave us valuable info on where to go to eat and for other activities. Very pleasant and mellow experience at Casa Donna Rosa!

Werner and Carlos were so inviting, we had such a good time talking with them. The breakfast was amazing and the views just beautiful. We got a tour of the property and tried some new fruits we never had before. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. You can not go wrong staying at Casa Dona Rosa. Highly recommended.

Carlos, & Werner are the most amenable, knowledgable sharing & caring hosts., The room, lounging area& breakfast were amazing. Quiet walkable town within easy reach of Fortuna attractions. I would spend my entire vacation here next time

Beautifully located house with a great view. Werner and Carlos were super welcoming. There is also a delicious, rich breakfast. We would come back anytime.

Werner and Carlos are suuuper nice and always there to help with any advice! The apartment is beautifully located near by a sea and you have tons of possibilities to eat nearby. We loved the little “extras” that Werner and Carlos prepared (e.g. hair conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste). Definitely 10/10!

Great attention for detail, amazing breakfast, and the hosts provides the perfect amount of information and goes the extra mile for advice. Definitely recommend a stay here. oh yes and do visit the garden.

wonderful B&B, great breakfast

We had a great stay with Carlos and Werner - two exceptional hosts, who made sure our stay with them and our day in La Fortuna was full of excitement. They helped us plan our itenerary and even made reservations on our behalf, which was extremely helpful. Our room was very comfortable and airy, with a great view of the lake. We also opted for the delicious breakfast.

As some other reviewers mentioned, Nuovo Arenal is a bit further away from La Fortuna (45 min - 1 hour). Still, if you plan to do day trips to La Fortuna and the area and you have a car / transportation, this is a great option if you don't want to stay in a resort in La Fortuna and have a more peaceful and quieter accomodation. It's also not very far away from Monteverde if that's the way you'll continue your trip.

The cleanliness, spaciousness, the wonderful breakfast, one of a kind! Not your typical Breakfast! Carlos is a chef in my opinion. We felt very comfortable and close to town. If you are traveling through Nuevo Arenal, that is the perfect place to stay.

Great place. We stayed in the room with a kitchen. It was very well equipped for kooking best of all places we stayed. The dining area is small but very good with little kids. Everything is well thought off and clean. Beds are great. Nice place to sit outside with a view. Great host and tasty breakfast. Pool is good for cooling off. We enjoyed our stay. The town is nice and the drive to La Fortuna is beautifull. Host was really helpfull with helping sorting out stuff to do.

Getting the temp right of the shower is a puzzle and the pool is for small kids a bit dangerous because of the high drop next to the pool and the slippery tiles. But this is just small stuff. Location towards la fortuna and arenal is 30minutes one way.

Beautifully decorated and maintained, and the hosts were absolutely amazing. They cooked a fantastic breakfast catered to the guests’ dietary restrictions, helped with bookings, and made useful recommendations.

Carlos and Werner are exceptional, warm and helpful hosts! We’d spent 3 nights in Nuevo Arenal, Werner and Carlos provided us with a lot of informative tips on activities - thank you again! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the communication with the hosts was quick and efficient. PLUS Carlos is a passionate cook and we had THE best breakfast in Costa Rica! We would love to come back some day!

Everything! The location, accommodations, hospitality, and FOOD, were all great. Werner and Carlos are both personable and made our stay a wonderful experience. Wish we could take Carlos home with us as our personal chef. Werner was so helpful with suggestions of what to see, where to eat, translating, and getting us around. Just a great time there, with great people. The property is beautiful as well.
