Beautiful place at the lake. Perfect for 3 couples. Small minor was that there is no airco. But al the doors and windows have screens so you can put them open for a nice breeze.

The house was amazing overlooking Lake Arenal. The surrounding area was nice, not too touristy. Driving to La Fortuna for excursions was a bit exhausting due to narrow curvy roads. No AC so if it had been much hotter we would have been uncomfortable. It was bearable. German bakery and Gingerbread restaurants were great!

This house is absolutely stunning. The house and grounds were spotless. The property manager was friendly and helpful. It is a bit of a drive to La Fortuna and a very solid trek to Monteverde. Nuevo Arenal does have restaurants, grocery, coffee etc. The kids absolutely loved the pool, and we enjoyed the views from the patio.

The views of Lake Arenal were outstanding. The property is extremely nice and located in a private gated community. A little construction noise during the day, but that looked to be nearing completion and we were normally out on adventures. Very easy 45 minute drive to La Fortunata attractions including Arenal volcano, mistico hanging bridges and a variety of hot springs. Did a day pass at Spring Resort and Spa which was very nice and many pools were empty during the day. Also went to La Leona falls for a tour with OffiTours. A bit of a drive but a beautiful location.

The house was awesome and the location close to some great restaurants in Nuevo Arenal was perfect. Kirsten, our host, was terrific! Quick to respond to our needs and full of information. Our only minor issue was a couple of ant appearances but we’re in the jungle after all. Access to multiple activities and La Fortuna was also excellent. I would highly recommend this location and would not hesitate to visit again in the future.

We loved our time in this spectacular house! It exceeded all our expectations and the only shame was the fact that construction in the nearby houses starts at 6am and goes on all day but we still loved being there! The views are incredible!!

The home was beautiful and clean. It’s in a great location. The view was breathtaking. The beds are a little small, so be prepared to get cozy ;-) The property manager was very responsive when I had questions or needed the hot tub turned on. Thanks for a great stay!

This house is gorgeous, nicer than the pictures. Kirsten was very responsive and easy to work with. If you want to stay in Nuevo Arenal, this is the place to do it. We used this as our home base to go on daily expeditions. Luckily my husband doesn't mind driving because something that is listed at 9 miles away took us 45 minutes to get to. The roads are very slow, winding and some are full of potholes. It took us no less than an hour every time we went to LaFortuna. The restaurants nearby are all very good, there is no shortage of food markets and gas stations. The one activity we did locally was the Nuevo Arenal Night Jungle Tour by CRParaiso. It was great. We felt that this location provided a very authentic Costa Rican experience. La Fortuna is very touristy. One thing to know is that there is new construction right next-door. They start very early and seem to be working all the time. The hammers, saws and blow torches drowned out the howler monkeys and birds. This is what we heard while sitting by the pool. It would have been nice to know this beforehand.

This property was beautiful, comfortable and had a million dollar view. Our teens enjoyed the patio and pool. The pool was on the cooler side but was fine when your body acclimated to the temperature. Jose warmed the hot tub for us daily the hot tub takes 3-4 hours to get hot. Just an fyi, the pool does not have a comfortable standing spot if you are below six foot. The design depth of the pool was odd but still we enjoyed it. The laundry area was very nice and every bedroom had a bathroom which was nice. We didn't care for the recommended restaurant, Moyas. We preferred the pizza 13 minutes from us on the way to La Fortuna. Also, the first night we stopped into The Gingerbread Restaurant and the arrogance of the owner was a turn off so we didn't stay. All in all. Great visit and wonderful place to come back to after four wheeling and tubing down the Rio Celeste.

This house was awesome! It had all the amenities & was super clean!

The house was very nice: well cared for, safe location, quiet and private. The pool was lovely with a beautiful view. A few details to mention: Cleaning: there was a ball of hair in the shower when we arrived. I think the cleaning crew just missed this. Also there was a terrible bad smelling chemical throughout the house. Kristen said it was for cleaning the floors but the smell was so strong it was difficult to be in the house at all before it aired out. We had to open all doors and windows to circulate the air and it was just better enough to sleep the first night. Pool/Hot Tub: we are a family that likes a hot tub but are realizing they are hard to operate in Costa Rica. Getting the hot tub turned on each day at this property was a bit of an ordeal. They had a pool guy that came to help turn on the hot tub and my husband mostly learned how to do this during our stay but it was a lot to manage and sometimes stopped working and we didn’t understand why. This did not ruin our experience but was an extra hassle worth mentioning. Kristen was awesome: very responsive and helpful in every way that she could be. Brought a new coffee pot when we realized the ones in the house were broken, booked dinner reservations, and suggested local hikes. Overall this is a great house with really excellent people managing it.

Exceptional communication with the property manager, Kirsten and she was Very flexible on the check in time. The home and location was beautiful. There was confusing instructions with the hot tub and it needs time to warm up and then shuts off at midnight so just good to know in advance. They have a vey nice out door living space so they would benefit from a few more comfortable chairs outside as there was only two loungers and then a set of 4 smaller not so comfy chairs. There was a ton of space for our two families, four adults and 3 teenagers and the privacy of the property made it peaceful and relaxing. We had everything we needed and loved waking up to the sound of the howler monkeys. Temperature wise the home was very comfortable especially it does not require air conditioning. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

We had a great time at Arenal in this beautiful home for over Spring Break. We wanted to get away to Costa Rica with our family of 5 and not stay in a big hotel and share a pool during the pandemic. So a pool was a must. It is situated in a nice gated subdivision with amazing views. Felt very secure. Overall we loved it and would highly recommend! Here is a quick rundown of the things we liked and things we thought were missing or could use work. Pros: -Amazing views -Beautiful home, pool, and grounds -Spacious -Clean and well maintained -Nice furnishings and amenities -Close to town Cons: -No blinds/curtains in most of the bedrooms. Hard to sleep in if you don't have an eye mask. -Small queen bed in master suite. Taller couples will be sleeping very close to each other. -Hot tub heat needs to be turned on by caretaker daily. Probably done to save on electricity, but made it so it was not always heated when we wanted it. -Jets don't work in the hot tub. -No grill. We were really hoping to have a nice grilled fish dinner by the pool at the great outdoor kitchen space soaking in the views, but currently not an option. Looks like they had one in the past. Caretaker said they have ordered one. -A few more pool toys and floats would have been nice. -They had a TV in the living room and all the bedrooms but we could only get the living room to work. No Netflix or streaming services available...only limited Spanish language tv. So bring a firestick or Roku if you want to occupy the kids. We weren't there for TV anyhow to not too big of a deal. Overall a great place and we would book it again.

We stayed at this beautiful property for 3 days and absolutely loved it! The home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on top floor with daybed on balcony for more sleeping and master on main floor (all bedrooms have tremendous view of Lake Arenal). The home was very clean and spacious but where we spent our time if not sight seeing was on the fabulous patio with the amazing expansive view of the water below…the pool and hot tub were used each day as well. This is a gated community and we felt extremely safe the entire time there. We went to Mistico hanging bridges, LaFotuna waterfall and Tabacón hot springs ( all recommended) which were about 45 minutes away. Our favorite breakfast spot (LaBistro) was about 10 minutes away with an unbelievable view as well. Finally, we cannot say enough about the property manager, Kirsten. This was our first time to Costa Rica and we had lots of questions which she was quick to reply to and met us at the property to show us around. She was terrific to work with and made our experience there all the more enjoyable. We highly recommend this wonderful home and hope to be back:)

Absolutely beautiful home and view!! Could use some more pool furniture, but other than that we loved our stay!! Best sleep we’ve had in a while! Home was spacious and beautiful!

My wife and I rented this very large home in the anticipation of hosting some of our friends and family over the month of February. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, we only had one of our couple friends for 1 week. It was so nice that they had their own comfortable suite, with an amazing bathroom and walk- in closet. This would be a wonderful rental for 2 or 3 couples or a family with children. The 3 queen beds are very comfortable and there is an extra twin bed in the open catwalk area. The owner of this property did not hold back in the way she had the interior finished and all of the major appliances are top of the line. The saltwater pool and spa on the patio are luxurous, although we had some difficulty in operating it's various controls and functions. This property was only completed in October, as I understand, and there are still a few things to work out. The one element needing some attention is the living room furniture (not enough comfortable seating). I understand that this will be improved and attended to shortly. The 3 most outstanding elements of this rental are: 1. One of the most fabulous vistas on Lake Arenal. You will never tire of watching that changing view! 2. The spa pool area. Definitely a vibe of the lifestyles of the rich and famous dream. 3. The property managers are friendly, efficient, kind, and very attentive. Kirsten and Bret are amazing!

When we were first planning our trip to Costa Rica, we decided we wanted to be adventurous and not stay in a resort. We were a little nervous about booking a VRBO in a country new to us but when we found this home, we knew it would be worth it and it was! The listed pictures are beautiful however they still do not do it justice! It’s gorgeous, simply breathtaking! We loved everything about the home and the location. We loved waking every morning to the amazing sounds of wildlife and watching the sun rise and set over Lake Arenal. We bought groceries in Nuevo Arenal and had everything we needed to make meals when we stayed in which wasn’t often! Within an hour from the home we found zip lining, white water rafting, hanging bridges, waterfalls, hiking, wake surfing on the lake, shopping and amazing food! Side note, we had a rental car. Kirstin was incredibly kind, patient (we were late meeting her for check in) and accommodating to any request we had while staying here! We can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, Kirstin!

Property is in a gated community off Highway 142, only 1- 2 minutes away from Nuevo Arenal. Location and access are exceptional. House is open concept custom built with all the modern appliances you expect in a high end property that includes a stunning pool area. Listing is as advertised. Photos do not do justice to the extraordinary 180 degree view of the lake. Was hesitant to rent as it had no reviews Rental is superb in every respect. Highly recommend. Last, but not least, a special mention has to be made regarding Kirsten the property manager. She replied immediately to our communications and was quick to solves any issues we had.

We really liked the house. It is big and spacious, perfect for a family trip. The local host, Kirsten, was very kind and helpfull.
