We had been there for 1 month & the experience was great. The staff was extremely humble & nice, Saddam & Hanif, Thanks to you guys too. Mr. Gaffoor is the owner of the Diamond guest house, He owns two Stays, One on The Fort ( Diamond Guest House ) & One outside fort in the city center (Rose Guest House). He Showed us the two Stays, The rose guest house had bigger rooms which were beautifully decorated and on the other hand we have the stay on the fort which had compact rooms but traditionally done. We took the one on the fort, since we loved the location. We had taken their Touristic & Non-Touristic Safari as well, and it was great. The touristic one had swiss tents, great music, nice evening show, good food, the jeep ride was out highlight followed by the camel tour. The non Touristic one was one of a kind experience, Kamlesh was our assigned driver to take us to the point after which, we were taken on camels, it took us 1-2 hours on camel to reach our camping spot, we loved the experience as we were in the middle of the desert, with nothing around us. just ope desert & open sky. Ganesh was our camel guide and he was a great person, the way he treated the camels was really sweet, he spoke to them, he cooked great food too. We cooked food in the open and slept on mattresses under the night sky, at 3AM the moon was off and the sky looked extremely beautiful, its an experience one definitely has to try. Everything was great, they have two roof top cafes so every morning we would be on the first one and in the evenings we wold go to their roof top cafes which has a splendid view. Sunrise & Sunsets are the best & we still miss those. Overall, the stay, Owner & the staff were great. Very kind & helpful team.

Amazing guest house in the centre of the fort at a very affordable price! I loved my room, very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The staff is very kind and helpful, at disposal at all times and very respectful. Food is also great and affordable, with both Western and Indian options, so I ate at the rooftop restaurant of the guest house every day. I especially liked the quietness throughout the day and night and the spectacular view from the rooftop, both for sunrise and sunset. The owner also helped me to arrange safari trip, which I enjoyed a lot! This place will be my base every time I visit Jaisalmer in future, for sure :)!

The guest house is located on the Jaisalmer fort. Good location to stay on fort with an amazing view front of temple, Sunset, city view and sunrise. The staffs are really sweet and cooperative in terms of everything. It is really safe for solo travelers too as it is a family run hotel.

I had a room next to the kitchen. They have a restaurant on the roof terrace. That means cooking and talking very loudly until late at night and it was very noisy in my room. There was also a refrigerator next to my room and it hummed loudly all night. The mattress was extremely soft. I had very bad back pain when I woke up. The window of my room opens to a place where trash was dumped. I would never stay here again. Not recommended.

Best hospitality I’ve had in India! This host went above and beyond! From picking me up from the bus, to booking me a safari experience (which was great!!), transferring me there, storing my luggage, taking me to the lake. I felt so so well looked after. The rooms are colourful and nice, the view from the cafe and rooftop are AMAZING and the food was also really good.

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi mostly didn’t work or only very slowly.

Perfect location,in the fort, just behind the Jain temple. We really enjoyed the hospitality of Teju and the staff. The food was good, the view from the roof top was excellent. The room was clean and cosy. We would definitely come back and stay at the Diamond Guest House. Strongly recommend.

Very good place to stay. Good room and quite clean for Indian standards. Host was helpful. Great rooftop. Camel safari was great because we ended being the only ones sleeping in the desert (3000 rupees for camel ride, dinner in the desert, comfy beds under the moon/stars with some heavy blankets, breakfast, morning camel ride and back to the hotel). Definitely a great experience! Also on the way back the host gave us a room to take shower and get ready for the next adventure! Restaurant is reasonably priced and decent (just had breakfast though). Great location in the fort!

WiFi was not the best and bathroom didn't have a sink.

Nothing we could think of

The guest house is within Jaisalmer fort and out room and the roof terrace directly overlooked the World Heritage Jain Temple. The room also had veiws down on to the narrow alley below, that was full of life and activity. On one day a wedding party stopped right outside the front door of the guest house and I was allowed to grab some photos of some memorable and colourful celebrations. The breakfast and dinners were excellent. We ate at the roof top restaurant every night. The room was basic but spotlessly clean and characterful. The staff, especially Teju were incredibly friendly and hospitable, made us feel completely at home and part of the family. Teju gave brilliant advice and arranged a day trip by jeep into the desert villages.

The room was good. people there were nice. they ask for morning tea, breakfast and dinner. It is a budget hotel and plus point is that it is in the fort.

Very nice hotel inside Jaisalmer fort. Very clean room and bathroom. Fast WiFi internet. Tasty food in the rooftop restaurant. Helpful and nice staff.

Everything was fine

Great location in the fort beside a Jain temple. In a quieter part of the fort to avoid the main crowds. They met us at the train station at 4:30am and organised our paid taxi to the fort entrance for a good price and then escorted us on foot through the maze to the guest house where our room was fortunately vacant and we could check in. Breakfast was affordable and tasty and a lovely setting.

Like everyone in Jaisalmer, they ask often about camel trips. We didn't do one through the guest house but the constant questions if we wanted one were sometimes annoying.

Nice guest house located inside the fort, so perfect location. The room was clean at a affordable price. Staff were very welcoming and look after us nicely. Rooftop restaurant sold great veg food aswell!

Very nice place, great roof top, food and welcoming sweet people. Inside the fortress is very central and a quite place. I Recommend this place!

pretty GH with nice view ..abdullah the guy in charge of the GH was really nice pick me up and drop me off .. for the price you cannot go wrong !

GH is small .. the room next to the kitchen area are bit noisy if the staff keep on talking ..

The hosts and their caring & friendly nature. They are as good as our closest friends. All the arrangements were perfectly made as per my wish. I hope to visit Jaisalmer again to meet exactly those same people especially Gaphur Bhai.

A visit around November-December would have helped me experience the real craze with peak season time. June visit did not help me in that.

Very cheap and simple guest house. Good value for money. You stay inside the Fort and that a very nice experience. Good rooftop with beautiful view. The room is OK and very quiet as there is no car and truck inside the Fort

The hospitality and location (inside the fort). Very good for enjoying sunrise. Rent is also reasonable.

We had a very nice stay with Diamond guest house. It has very clean and comfortable rooms . Very good veg restaurant. The staff are very friendly and honest. My daughter had misplaced her watch here and forgotten about it. Mr. Gafoor took the pains to intimate us at Sam and come over on bike all the way to return it to us.

Gaffur is a very helpful host and the place itself is inside the fort and has good views from rooftop
