Nabua Lodge is very nice, because the service people are very very friendly. The food is very good and is different every day. It is possible to book a Tour to the blue lagoon, the cave on the neighbour island or to visit the village. We have spend 4 nights and had a great time.

Nice island with lots to do (not only sunbathing) when the weather is okay. The food is good for a homestyle-like stay, dinner is 2-3 courses while breakfast is a small buffet and lunch 1 plate, big portions. Some staff is really friendly. Free kayaks and snorkeling gear. They have wifi around the dining area. Meals are together with the other guests which makes it nice to interact. Great snorkeling just next to the place in walking distance.
The staff gave you a weird feeling, not like you are a guest there but more like you‘re invading their living on the island. Some are really not friendly, they don’t really try to make you feel comfortable, dont give lots of advices, dont really interact whatsoever. When we went it rained really badly, but there was no action from their side to somehow entertain their guests. They dont respect that you‘re there on vacation, loud yelling and cleaning starting at 7am in the morning.
After 1 night we complained because we were up half night because of a mouse in our room, their solution was for us to kill it at night with a spray? Then we moved rooms, this room had a cockroach running around, moved back to the other and had to trap the mouse overnight.
There are no loungers or any opportunities to enjoy the beach, the facilities are VERY worn out, and even though you expect that from a homestay, this is not advertised as a homestay and the money you pay is way more than for a homestay.
Just expect something very basic. I would recommend going to a real homestay if you dont care about facilities etc, in that way you save money and have an interaction with Fijian culture. If you go in high season with lots of guests the overall mood is probably also better because you can interact more.

The room.
Staff cleared tables before you finished mouth full and removed table cloth whilst seated- not sure what the rush was. Took us on a snorkel trip but didn’t take snorkels or tell us we needed to take them. Beach was average. Shortened our stay and left as soon as we could

It’s was a pretty place to stay!
The bed wasn’t the best as it was Rocky,
No activities to do, if you just want to rest and do nothing, this is the place, there is pretty much no bar but a single fridge advertising, beer and soft drinks and water only so don’t expect cocktails here!

We fell in love with Nabua Lodge! So beautiful place, delicous food, amazing trip to Blue Lagoon. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was very very clean and cozy. Everything together made our stay there the best stay. Nabua Lodge definitely must be on your “accommodation list”! Thank you for everything.
Small breakfast ☹️

The Nabua lodge rooms are very clean, and the staff helpful. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed chatting with other travellers over meals. I hiked over to the other side of the island (to Blue Lagoon), which has stunning views of the beach and landscape. Besides snorkeling, swimming and hiking activities, you can also just relax in one of the hammocks, or go to the tea house for lemon tea and cake!
Be prepared for cold showers and spotty internet. But really it's all part of the experience.

Everything was perfect! The food was amazing and the staff were friendly. The accommodation was beautiful and rustic. We were so happy this was not a resort stay, as it was so quiet and peaceful. We loved snorkeling at the beautiful reefs and relaxing in the hammocks. We would recommend this stay to anyone! This is not to be missed when visiting the yasawa islands.
Nothing!

Peaceful location, well maintained gardens and property.

We like the property and the location, the tea houses is beautiful. You can eat local food. The price was cheap for the location.
We didn’t like the staff because they didn’t advice us about some rules of life. Also we took a free kayak broken, someone know but not us. You need to eat each meal with other people from the resort and you have to be never late. Furthermore, the manager was unpleasant and he was not here to accomodate his customers.

The location was excellent, we loved how relaxed it was. Plenty of hammocks to lounge in. We enjoyed the excursions to Sawa-I-Lau caves and the blue lagoon for snorkelling, these were very well priced and nice small groups. The food was good, everyone dined together so you meet the other holidayers. This lodge is excellent value for money, authentic and rustic.
Our bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.

Food and service great. Really wonderful family experience
It did take long time to get to Nabua lodge by boat. But it was worth the trip. Wish we had stayed a little longer. Yes it is an Eco lodge but based on the location it was great.

Beautiful chilled garden and very nice staff. Captain Sai and family were warm and welcoming. Tasty food and good portions. Definitely coming back
The beach tide is low most of the day, but they have free kayaks to enjoy during the morning

Friendly and relaxed. Just around the corner from the Blue Lagoon - fabulous snorkelling! Food was tasty and always served with a smile. hosts were friendly and trusted all guests :-) small number of guests so all guests mingled and talked with each other
Single bed mattresses were thin- could feel the bed frame so we had to move mattresses onto floor. Hot water sometimes wasn’t available and wifi was sometimes sketchy.

Great location, friendly staff, cave trip was a must do!
No briefing or information was given to new arrivals, booking of trips is up to guests to organize and find a group to go with. Food was not to our taste too much frozen and canned food. Office staff were unorganized from not giving us and other guests correct rooms to not being available to not properly coordinating and taking us to the wrong snorkeling location.

The staff are super friendly, the location is amazing and the bures are very clean and comfortable
I only wished that they offered a few more activities

Captain Sai and the staff were wonderful, welcoming and knowledgeable. The property is beautiful.
This is not a loud party resort. It’s calm, perfect to sit on a hammock or go kayaking. The corals and Blue Lagoon are a short boat ride away and stunning.
They serve a fixed menu at a specific time and those are social times where guests eat together.
That was the most relaxing part of my stay in the Yasawa Islands. Thank you.
The bathroom was a bit rustic with the hot water not always working. But it’s a remote island in a hot climate. I didn’t find it to be a problem

The setting on the bay is spectacular, the snorkeling is great and you can kayak to the reef. The staff are very kind and helpful
The place is run down, needs maintenance and there are many safety concerns. The food is very basic, bland, overpriced and lacks variety. There are very few activities available. We have no idea of how the 8 3 rating on Booking com came about. This is more of a low end backpacker place.

Staying a Nabua was like staying with family. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. It was quiet and relaxing with opportunities for adventure. I was looking for a more authentic experience while visiting the Fijian Islands rather than a cold fancy resort type stay so Nabua was perfect for me.

Peaceful away from all the hustle and bustle of resorts. Think of it as a retreat. The staff are friendly and the food good with large portions. A trip can be arranged to the village. Trips to the caves, Blue Lagoon can be arranged easily too which are very close. Kyacks available for no extra cost
The bugs. No matter how much spray I put on I still got bitten. The bathroom is basic with cold rwon water only which is fine in the heat. In the rainy season everything stays damp

Quite place for relaxing, take some books with you and board games. Staff is friendly, food is good. For swimming best time was in the mornings when the sea level was high, good for the kids.
Running out of electricity every day around 4 to 6pm. It’s really far from mainland using the Tavewa sea bus cost us 1120 FJD (3 adults, 1 Child) return trip.

All of the staff are lovely and so friendly. The meals were really generous portions and delicious. Breadfruit is a new favourite!
Be sure to go visit the Tea Room down the beach, Salome makes the best cakes! You can walk across the hills (or along the beach at low tide) to snorkel at blue lagoon.

I stayed at Nabua lodge for 3 nights solo travelling. It was very quiet (due to not picking up after covid) but I had such a tranquil stay. The food is great as you pay for the meals you eat, unlike most other resorts. The hosts also trust you immensely with getting your own drinks and adding them to your own tab. The beach was beautiful and they have kayaks and a trail up to the mountain. They also offer boat trips to blue lagoon and the caves. The food was amazing and home cooked and the hosts make you feel like one of the family. Would recommend anyone to stay here!
