The place was really nice, the staff came to the parking lot to pick us up and take us to the hotel. The terrace is amazing and also the view you have from there. Breakfast was really good!!! Everything was perfect and very clean!!!

Where to begin…everything was just wonderful! Our flight was delayed for one day and the Afro hotel was so understanding…we requested to push our stay for one day and they did! When we arrived to Chefchaouen, the host would meet us at the parking lot and guide us to the hotel. About the hotel - it was just amazing - the decor, the room, the amazing terrace where we had our breakfasts! The room was clean, had AC, wifi and all that you would expect and need! The hosts were sooo welcoming, kind and helpful and responded. He gave us some good restaurant recommendations for an instance. And now…let’s get to the best part. An evening before I asked whether it would be possible to organise a surprise birthday breakfast for my friend for the next morning and the answer was Yes! I have never experienced this kind of attentiveness from a hotel - they really took it to the next level! In addition to the breakfast on the terrace, there were cake topped with ‘happy birthday’ decoration, amazing fruit bowl with ice cream, nuts, colorful sweets and music!!! It all was just an amazing experience and we really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chefchaouen! 😍😊

The interior of Afra House is really cute. I like the room, the restroom and the terrace where we had a wonderful and delicious breakfast.

The room has no window, it was gloomy and damp.

It was a unique environment with lots of quirky features and spaces to enjoy.

Emmad was excellent, recommending restaurants and making sure we arrived at the property! The entire staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

My stay in Afra House and in Chefchaouene was perfect! Afra House is super clean and interior design is exceptional. The host was extremely friendly and everything was perfectly served. Wifi works well too and I liked to stay at the top floor very next to the roof top balcony.

Rooms are kinda cold inside, much colder than outside. Having only one internal window, air change is reduced.

We were coming from a bad experience in another ryad and were slightly concerned about issues of dampness and sewage smells. The host Aimen reassured us that our room didn't experience such issues and he very kindly offered us to choose between the double room we booked and another twin room, which was on the terrace, as he thought it might best meet our preferences. As a matter of fact, we preferred this twin room, instead of the double room we had booked, because it had windows in both the bedroom and the bathroom providing natural daylight and ventilation, and we absolutely loved our stay there. There were no issues of smells, it had a well working AC unit providing good heating at night, good hot water provision, good shower, comfortable beds, nice decor and immediate access to the terrace (where we chose to have breakfast each morning and was lovely). We noted that some people complained in reviews about the lack of privacy of this room, but we didn't experience this when we were there. The window panes are translucent and there is a curtain, so we found the room provided good levels of privacy. Aimen has been very kind during our stay and went above and beyond to help us. He picked us up from the Parador Hotel when we arrived to show us to the property and, when I hurt my ankle on the last day, he came to the property just to help my husband carry the luggage down the stairs. We would definitely recommend staying at Afra House, particularly the twin room on the terrace!

Nice and friendly place, nicely decorated rooms and beatiful terrace on the rooftop. Breakfast was generous and very tasty. The location is good, right on one of the main streets of the (small) medina and just a few minutes on foot from the taxi drop-off point and from the main square.

Unfortunately it was cold when we were there and the building was not heated. There's an AC unit in the rooms that can be set on heating mode, but it takes a while to reach a confortable spot and the bathroom stays cold anyway.

Staff were excellent. Had a hiccup at night and Fatima was super helpful. Really pleasant stay.

The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. The home is BEAUTIFUL and in a prime location!

I love the interior of the guesthouse, it makes me feel like home. The host Aymen is amazing, he picked me up from the bus station and helped with the suitcases along the way. He also recommended tourist attractions to me and taught me to download offline map when I checked in. The housekeeper Fatima is really helpful, as I got some problems with the hot shower, she came to fix it early in the morning, really appreciate that. They serve breakfast from 8:30-10 am, make sure to grab them during your stay, it was fantastic. Also don't forget to check out the rooftop!

The hot shower was unstable and a bit weak. The water started to turn to normal temperature in the midst of the shower therefore I would definitely recommend people to have a quick shower.

Decoration, localisation

Excellent location with a beautiful terrace that overlooks the Medina and mountains, the morning breakfasts are delicious. The location of the property is great, right over all the restaurants and in the pretty blue alleys. We loved our stay and Aymen was a super host. Thank you for a lovely stay.
