Cosy warm cabin for winter stay. Well equipped kitchen. Just a short drive to the ski slopes. Bus stop out the front. Friendly family owned place.

Nice owner, super location next to the river. Easy to go by bus to the skiing area, we left our car and took the bus instead.

No electrical charging for EVs. The chargers in Trysil center are often out of service as well. Since Norway is so leading in EVs it’s surprising that it’s so bad in Trysil.

experience fantastic Norwegian hospitality at a fraction of the ski in/out price . 10 mins from main ski lifts and near the centre of Trysil for shops etc . wonderfully isolated and picturesque

Lovely location by the river! We rented the sauna and loved jumping into the river and then going into the sauna afterwards. The cabin was very personal, clean and had all the facilities that we needed. We would definitely come back!

Would have been great if there was a doublebed but not a massive issue.

needed screens on all windows as ventilation let bugs in. hard for 5 unrelated people to sleep as we thought there were going to be 2 bunks in each room but there was only 1 berth. no access to wood to start a late or early sauna unless prearranged ideally outdoor picnic table would be screened in as well

location great- near Trysil and near slopes but quiet, on river- saw the swans flying- very quiet at night. Nice playground for the kids. Nice natural areas for walking/play.

Trash around the grounds, near the cabin, building materials/etc. Hard to get in the top bunks

The cabin was in a very quite place with a beautiful view for the mountains and the river. The quality of the cabin was very good and all the equipments were almost brand news. The owners were quite nice and very helpful!

There wasn't anything particularly to dislike. Everything was quite nice :) As a suggestion I would say to have so some slippers because the floor is not as warm as the cabin.

The cabins are quite simple, but warm, homely, and spacious enough for a family of 4. Our host was welcoming, friendly and keen to help. The location, just above a bend in the Trysil River, was tranquil and scenic, with opportunities to enjoy wildlife such as dippers, swans and deer. Just a couple of kilometres south of Trysil town, the winter nights were dark enough to enjoy the stars - we were hoping for some northern lights, but sadly the sun did not oblige! This was more than made up for by the skiing in the nearby Trysil resort, which was fabulous. Highly recommended, and I’m sure we’ll be back!

great position and quiet, extremely cosy

The view was splendid with the river right beyond you. Small kitchen, but big enough to make a good dinner. Only 10 minutes from Trysil skicenter.

it was icy slippery when going from the parking lot to the cottage.

The cabin was clean, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need :) The view was amazing! The host is very nice and we would book for this again :)

The only thing was, that they were no closets to put in clothes, but we were fine living out of our suitcases

The standard is fairly simple, but you have all you need and the location is great. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We come back year after year, and we feel really at home there. It is a lot of value for the money. The ski-bus stops at the cabins which is very convenient.

For us, we missed nothing! Maybe the Internet can be improved, but it is minor. Very occasionally there was a short break in transmission, but nothing hindering.

Cosy cabin in beautiful setting and very well thought through with all crockery and cutlery we needed. Comfortable beds and providing wood for the woodburner was a lovely touch. Only 10 minutes drive to Trysil ski area. Very friendly hosts who were happy to help with anything and ensured we could find our cabin even when we arrived after midnight due to a delayed flight.

I liked everything! Cosy cottage, small but perfectly equipped, located close to Trysil town and ski slopes but still far enough in quiet nature. Even in 1 meter snow and -15 deg. frost perfectly comfortable and accesible! AMAZING place.

I had to go home after a week…
