Clean, great value for money, great location

At check in, the lady at reception said check out is at 10am and the room might not be ready. Asked her to check then find me at the restaurant. She never got back to me until I went back to reception to check after about an hour only then did she confirm that it was ready.

A simple lodge with lush vegetation, small water features, rustic sitting areas and quirky art work which all contributed to a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The open space between the dining area and the river was visited by interesting birds, warthogs, and (on one occasion) baboons at play.

I have made many visits here over the past few years. The owner and staff are very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is scrummy too. The rooms are very attractive, very clean and very comfortable. It’s sits on the banks of the Chobe River and is an absolutely stunning setting! There are varies activities offered, river cruises, game drives ( the guides are very knowledgeable) trips to Victoria Falls etc.

Absolutely nothing not to like.

Familienzimmer war sauber und komfortabel. Personal war sehr nett. Außenanlage mit Garten und Zugang zum Fluß sehr gepflegt und schön angelegt. Ein Tagestrip zu den Victoria Falls wurde kurzfristig organisiert.

Es gab nichts zu bemängeln.

It is a lovely character property near the river with great rooms, service and food

The Old House is a good affordable option in Kasane, the city itself is not very appealing although I really limited myself walking to the supermarket. facilities are comfortable, with clean large room (they gave me a huge 6 person room as no availability), decent sized bath. Food is OK but otherwise limited eating options as walking along the main street at night is not appealingly safe with motor traffic. restaurant in garden so mosquitoes are unlimited. Their tours are good, especially the afternoon boat tour, very enjoyable experience. If considering game drive during the day, a full day may be a better option as they get deeper inside the park, the morning drive fairly disappointing after coming from Etosha and seeing a plethora of grazers and elephants, but they do have lions and cape buffaloes.

Limited eating options except at The Old House

Lovely small hotel close to the river, room was spacious and very comfortable. Lovely garden and breakfast was very good.
