The location of this hotel could not be better and the service was top notch. I don't think I've ever had as much communication with the hotel staff between booking and arrival as the Ambassade. Check-in was phenomenal with attentive staff available to help with any issue. The breakfast, which is a blend of buffet-style and made-to-order food allows guests to take their time or grab-and-go as needed. I highly recommend staying here as everything we did within Amsterdam was within a 20 minute walk of the hotel. Our room overlooked a canal which is a great thing to wake up to each day.

I specifically requested a quiet room when I made my reservation. I got very little sleep my first night in your hotel because the people in the room next to us were so loud and drunk that I could not sleep. They were banging doors and cackling well past midnight. It was of the worst nights I have had at a hotel in quite some time. When I called down to front desk to complain, the night staff went and spoke to them. They calmed down a bit, not before my nights sleep was ruined. While I know your staff had no idea that these individuals would act in this manner, you are asking me about my experience. Your staff could not have been more apologetic. The reservation manager changed our room and refunded me a portion of our first nights fee. You have a stellar hotel and a better staff . It’s unfortunate that strangers dampened my experience there.

The welcome, the beautiful library bar, the atmosphere of this beautiful historic building, the quiet during the night, the windows in the bedrooms open, the situation of the lovely little canal, the breakfast choices etc

Location of the hotel was great and our room/suite was spacious and had a great view looking over the canal. Artwork throughout the property was amazing! Breakfast was wonderful! We loved our stay here and we'd stay here again!

We loved almost everything but just a few notes to share for your consideration... If you're in room #10 BEWARE - stairs are harrowing! This room is not inside the hotel so you use a separate key and access off the street - just FYI - and the climb up to the room is treacherous We managed but this could be an issue for many. Although we'd happily stay here again, I don't think we'd stay in this room because of the stairs. Dinner menu options are very limited but wonderful food. This is a very nice hotel (we loved our stay here) but if you are expecting a 5 star experience (which you may assume from looking at photos and price) just note that it doesn't have some 5 star amenities -like bathrobes, turndown service etc.

Tot Edifici històric, decorat amb elements actuals donant-li un toc de modernitat sense perdre la seva essència. Hi ha molts quadres per tot arreu d’artistes contemporanis i una biblioteca al bar de recepció, amb tauler d’escacs i d’altres jocs de taula. Per la finestra es veu el canal. Flors … El personal impecable, tot, menció especial per la Marta que ens servia l’esmorzar. Un dia ens van fer camviar de taula, per una on hi havia estat en Tarantino i la Cher… tota una anècdota. És un hotel on escriptors hi fan la presentació dels seus llibres i això s’olora a l’ambient. Ens queda un molt bon record!!

fantastic location, room was clean and good size, only downsize is the access through elevator and than by staircase but we expected that since we knew that property is in a development of old houses

attentive staff, although there ware not able to offer the late check out since our flight was late in the evening. probably hotel was fully booked.

The location of the hotel is excellent.

The sheets were not changed on a daily basis. We had only one bathrobe, the other was retired the first day. The stuff is not nice.

Love the location, art work and decor of the hotel and rooms. Staff was very helpful. This is our second stay at this property and it was just as good as the last time.

High quality small boutique hotel with exceptional location (peaceful but close to everything). Staff really nice and friendly. Beautiful room with canal view and excellent breakfast.

I liked everything else but hair dryer (was quite weak).

Great location....perfect for walking everywhere between the central station and the Rijksmuseum. Breakfast was good. Staff was excellent, at reception, in the library bar and the bellman William. Rooms were generous size. Library bar provided a calm oasis for a rest after walking the crowded streets.

The layout of the hotel was a bit unorthodox. Also, we weren't too happy about climbing stairs for bedroom and bathroom. We actually banged our head a couple times on wooden beams in the attic. Not sure if the value was there for what we received.

The room was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed the whole experience, there is anything we didn't like.
