This property was amazing - photos don’t do it justice - it felt much larger than the photos. It was the perfect home base for a family trip. The hot spring river trail was amazing. Very nice town, lots of choices for eating out, or getting food to prepare in. I will definitely recommend Kristins property to anyone who is looking to do a trip to Iceland.

Beautiful and well appointed home close to some of the most popular attractions in Iceland. Beds and linens were comfortable and neighborhood was dark (for the northern lights) and quiet. Hot tub was a big hit and there is a river babbling through the back yard. Steam is rising from fissures all around which was so unique. Five stars all around.

This home was wonderful. Large enough for two familues of four. Centrally located with easy access to to Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. Comfortable, clean, well stocked. Very private location with easy access to walking trails and town. Thank you so much Kristin for the hospatality.

This was the perfect place for my family to come back to after long days driving and site seeing! It gave us a safe and comfortable retreat to relax and reflect on all that we had done each day and the location- the view and privacy - was perfect!! Would highly recommend to anyone I know who visits iceland!

We absolutely loved this property - the host was gracious and very easy to communicate with. The house is even better than the photos show. We stay with 4 adults and 4 kids (3,4,6, and 7) and they loved the inside of the home as well as being able to easily access the nearby trail to the river. Our 9-person family had a wonderful stay in Kristin's beautiful riverside home. It was well furnished with everything we needed. The location -- on a quiet street just north of Hvergerdi town and adjacent to several outstanding walking trails -- and beautiful views of the river were highlights. We also used the hot tub several times at the end of our day trips around Iceland. Hvergerdi is an ideal location to base yourself for day trips across the amazing sights in Southwest Iceland. For example: 1 hr drive to Geysir / Thingvellir, 40 min to Reykjavik, 2 hours to South Coast sights, 3 hours to Snaefellsness, 4 hours to Glacier Lagoon / Diamond Beach. Kristin was readily available to help with our questions and needs. An outstanding property and outstanding host!

Kristin was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The home itself had anything and everything needed including a nice size washer and dryer with detergent provided which was really nice on our long trip. The view was stunning and the home was very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend!

This was our first time visiting Iceland and the location of this house couldn’t haven been more perfect. The house itself was beautiful and had everything we needed!

This house is in a lovely quiet location with a beautiful view over the river. Close to all the main attractions. The house has all the basic necessities, a generous pantry and Kristin was very helpful and responsive. Loved the fact that cable TV was provided so we could continue watching Ozark. We had a very enjoyable stay in Hvergerdi. The town has a great grocery store, bakery, and pizza/ brewery. The "Steaming River" is very close to the house and was a wonderful hike. The home has a well stocked kitchen and the living space was very comfortable to relax in after many days of hiking.

Our group had a great time at Kristin’s property. The house was exactly as described and the location was central to all major activities. The town had great restaurants and a grocery store for those that want to eat at home. The kids loved the hot tub and the river that ran along the back yard.

The house was clean and equipped with everything that we needed. Kristen was an excellent host and very helpful. I highly recommend this property for your trip to Iceland. We had a great time!!

We loved our stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, clean and spacious. It was great to come home from a day of adventures, cook a meal and soak in the hot tub: we would definitely go back.

We loved this stay. Gorgeous house w amazing location w view of river. Well appointed. Easy drive to town for groceries & restaurants. Great location - 1 hour to major sites (Reykjavik, blue lagoon, National park, volcano).

Incredible views from a neat place. Nice rooms. Perfect open feel in the kitchen, dinning, and living area. Large windows make it feel spacious and like you are outdoors. Private feel. Amazing deck. Host was very responsive.

Kristin was very accommodating and very responsive. The location cannot be beat- right on the river. secluded and peaceful. The geothermally heated hot tub on the river was pure heaven. We had many amazing soaks. The house is very, very roomy with many common areas for people to spread out. Well stocked kitchen, large dining table, very comfy sofas, great views all around. There are three large bedrooms and 2 smaller bedrooms. All can accommodate couples, but the smaller rooms don’t leave much room to walk around (my 14 year old slept in one and loved how sunny and cozy it was) . One bedroom has a toddler bed. Three bedrooms are near each other, and 2 are more separated. All bedrooms are on the same (lower) floor. The lower floor opens up to the ground level where you can walk down to the hot tub. There is a large grocery store about 5 minute drive. Kristin patiently talked us through how to fill up the hot tub (it was easy) and operate the stove (we had not operated an induction stove before) and was always available to answer our questions. We would absolutely stay here again!!!

This was the best house we've ever rented. It was even better than the photos. It's the last house on the small road so we had easy access in and out but felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. We had steam vents on one side and open views to the country-side on the other. On three of our days there were crystal clear skies and the Aurora was dancing all night long. Our whole group could comfortably lay out on the wooden deck and watch. It was perfect. We had a lot of questions about supplies pre-trip and the owner was very responsive. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds comfy. Truly exceptional.in every way.
