Lovely old world hotel

lovely property, very green, nice and quiet with good breakfast

Plenty of parking. Room was fine, Victorian feel with high ceilings. Breakfast was exceptional with a large range of items. Has a lift to upper floors. Don't charge for a 'no-show'.

Thought that the photo shown on booking form on web was a little misleading, whilst the garden was very pleasant & nice, it looked as if it was sited in the countryside instead of being in a built up area.

Lovely staff namely Denisa and Marina who were both were wonderful, soo helpful and also the housekeeper who kept rooms spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was good but could have been more variety. Not suitable for those with walking problems as on a hill Only one eatery nearby with no vegetarian options

The hotel and grounds were lovely. Beautifully clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was an added bonus to have a terrace from the room, overlooking the garden. Parking was available and the city centre was within walking distance.

The step from the room out to the terrace was very high.

This ia hotel with old world charm and service, with wood floors and good central heating, breakfast is exquisite. Carolinas Garden is in the middle of a large mature garden, this is an old building well converted to large b.ed rooms all with solid wood floors. Reception staff very helpful and talk in English. Breakfast in included in the room rent but is worth £25.00, so a very surprise treat.

They charge 8 euro for parking but not covered parking

The room was big and comfortable, the parking is very handy. I loved the style of the house, the location and the breakfast.

The bed was not very comfortable, no isolation from noise in the room but the whole hotel was quite calm so it was not a real problem. The service at the reception was basic, no real interaction or help, some don't speak English at all.

the room was nice and the hotel was quaint.

I was expecting, as advertised , the restaurant to be open and food available. the restaurant was closed and has been since the pandemic. booking.com has not been updated and I felt that bookings, as I did, were based on the availability of food in the evening.

Reception and local amenities

The beds were too short and too hard and no restaurant facilities over the weekends apart from breakfast

Very convenient stopover pre ferry. The building is charming and of great character. Parking available in gated driveway. The en suite room spacious and comfortable. Delightful view of the garden

Not a complaint, but some obvious signs of tiredness about the building. Apparently it will be closing for refurbishment, I really hope the character is retained

Good location, great view from our balcony. Fab breakfast.

Easy car parking on the grounds of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. An easy 15 minute walk downhill to cafes etc. There is a 3 stage outdoor elevator back up to the top (unless you prefer a bit of a workout and decide to walk!)

The water pressure in the shower was fairly poor and the television could have been a bit larger.
