Very cold in the dining area. Maybe consider a fireplace or aircon. Also, we couldn't close the curtains in the room. Our room overlooked the street.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings , safe, most comfortable beds, special gestures like warm airconditioning and electrical blankets were put on before our arrival and an excellent example of the warmest hospitality that our Country can offer!

Located perfectly centrally on the route from Durban to Cape Town. The dinner was good and the service was good. The Manager was very friendly and helpful.

Perhaps a little too rustic. The airconditioner in the room was very noisy. The room could do with carpeting on the floor to create more warmth. Also would have been nice to provide more than just two of each type of coffee sachets. One we had our regular coffee in the evening we had to have decaf in the morning. Perhaps two extra blankets, one for each bed in winter..especially if one is averse to airconditioners and duvets.

Beautifully laid out with gardens in the courtyard to cool the location, a little green oasis. Staff willing to help, we did not book dinner, realised Hanover has other food options (small town), staff went out of there way to arrange dinner for us! Come hungry, awesome boerekos!!

The guesthouse promises a lot but does not deliver on promises. A Boutique Guest House should be exactly that - providing guests with good honest service and attention to detail. It is not good enough to say we can't do dessert because the oven is broken - provide fuit and cream, for example. Overall provides a package service.

I absolutely loved how the rooms were set up and THAT DINNER!! Oh my, it was AMAZING Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quick stay over for their travels to Cape Town. The staff were super respectful and helpful. If you are headed to the Cape, make this your stop!!

Excellent hospitality from the staff. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast included in the stay. Very good value for money.

Loadshedding is a SA problem. So the guest house suffers with loadshedding like everywhere else. When power goes off in the early evening or arriving back in the dark with no power, makes things a little difficult. The loadshedding bulbs work fairly effectively for a period of time when the power goes off, so it's suggested to install these around the guesthouse so that we can move around with some light instead of being in the dark. Bedrooms were fitted with one loadshedding rechargeable light. Fortunately, even when the power went off with loadshedding, the wifi was still running so one could at least stilll watch a movie off one's laptop through the wifi. Well my kids could. Otherwise an excellent stay.

Had a 1 night stay ,just to rest while on our road trip,it was everything you needed ..clean although the beds and floors were creeky understandable for an old property ...the bath room only has a bath tub and the hand shower was not working very well ..staff waited for us to arrive long after check in time,Thank you ...best place to lay over in comparison to the rest in the area ..

The guest house was adorable with a lush garden courtyard, delicious food, and incredibly friendly staff. The room was cute and cozy. It is pet friendly which made it easy and welcoming for my family member with a service dog.

The dinner was delicious! I can recommend the Karoo lamb chops! The decor is exceptionally beautiful!

This is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere, right halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The town, Hanover, is an extremely poor tiny little karoo town, roads unpaved, houses extremely poorly kept, some destroyed already.
