Perfect location for visiting the Bran Castle and other turistic places, but also right near the national park and it's trails. Very pet friendly, great for our quite big shepherd dog. Very nice and accomodating owner. We had car troubles and got there a day later (unfortunately...) and she didn't have us pay for the night even though our booking conditions were such that we should have paid for all the nights! Would definitely book again if in the area!

There are old wooden floors and they can be loud - we didn't really care, but some people might.

The place was spotless and surrounded by stunning landscapes. Pets really are welcome; there are bags and rules to accommodate 4 legged travelers and guests alike, which we loved. I really like the common area concept. It was nice having dinner and chatting with other people about their stay. The yard is also lovely and well-equipped. So is the kitchen.

The indoor temperature. We were unlucky and got bad weather + didn't have the best clothes and the temperature indoors is kept at around 19 degrees, This combination was not great for us. We wish electric heaters were available at the location and would have been willing to pay extra for that, The shower needs a bit of improvement as well - with the current system for us it was hard to keep the water from reaching every inch of the bathroom.

First of all it's a PET FRIENDLY location, suitable for dog owners or dog lovers. Dogs are allowed all over the place, both inside and outside. So if you don't like dogs or your kid is scared of them, I strongly suggest other places around. Close to the forest.

Helpful host, good location (close to the national park), clean rooms and amenities, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, bbq place and patio, free WiFi. Overall a good experience, with a very good price value.

From the amazing placement of this location at the foot of Bucegi mountains, all the way to the warm, helpful and kind host, our stay was without question perfect . Pensiunea Tara is at a perfect location: you can either visit the Natural Reservation (which is about 800m away from), go hiking on medium difficulty mountain paths (eg: it took us an hour and a half to reach a the wonderful Gutanu meadow) or even take a half hour trip to the famous Bran Castle. Other wonderful aspects are the beautiful yard with a river passing through, the pet friendly policy, the friendly assistance received always when requested, and the wonderful views you can see from your window.

First we liked the location of the retreat, is placed right in front of the mountains, which will offer you a 360° view of full nature, very beautiful especially in the morning when you get the coffee or breakfast on the terrace (we recommend that, nice experience too). You have almost everything at you hand, a full equiped kitchen, a nice BBQ (that we used also), a huge garden with two swings and the main shopping store that is located on the back of the house. The staff was very nice and friendly as well, the nice part the we most appreciated is that they gave us enough space to feel like home (we saw them 2-3 times during the stay and than after we were alone mostly all of the time). The place is also pet friendly, we don't have any dogs but we enjoyed the company of some nice dogs, that came with their owners of course.

If you choose to visit this place, make sure to have with you slippers, since the bathroom tile is very cold.
