the room doors have no stopper. difficult to keep them open. The door hinges need lubrication to prevent the irritating squeaky noise. But this was a minor aspect

Location was great, handy to Nelson and out lying areas. Lovely view of the harbour.

The bedroom that has a television in it we found the bed to be extremely hard, felt like you were sleeping on a plank of wood, the carpet needed a good clean as there were dead ants on the floor. The master bedrooms curtains were covered in mold and it took ages for the shower to receive hot water. The room with the bunk beds had an ant problem and the room also needed a good vacuum as there were dead ants in the corners. We woke one day to find the kitchen benches and cupboards alive with ants, thank goodness we hadn't used the kitchen or had food lying about. The front entrance/hall way area - the plant in the entrance had dropped its leaves and they were just lying on the tiles, the artificial lead lighting was falling off the windows which made the entrance look sad. The bath had dead spiders in it. The leather sofa in lounge is worn and needs upgrading. Outside the lawns were extremely long and needed a mow, the patio area had numerous weeds growing between the paving stones it needed a good spray with weedkiller to sort the problem. The shade awning had holes on one half and it looked ready to fall off. As the driveway is on a corner the flax plant at the entrance needs to be trimmed so it would allow the driver better vision of the road.

The views from outside and inside was stunning. The place is clean and tidy. The deck outside is a bonus. We like that there was a washing machine and dryer.

The view from the house is sensational, Nelson was sunny which was a change from the North Island weather in April. The sunsets in the evening over the bay were stunning and everchanging. Also sitting out on the porch in the morning and the locals jogging and walking by waving to you was amusing. The neighbourhood was quiet when we were there which is a big plus for me. The Thai restaurant on the bay below was very good.

For some reason there was a dishcloth for wiping the bench missing and I also find induction cooktops annoying. Some thicker curtains in the Northeast facing bedroom might be good for late risers.

Clean and comfortable - a home away from home. Owner very quick to remedy a small problem, we were very impressed. The view is wonderful, very quiet and relaxing
