There was no safe in our room and the beach was a bit disappointing, which is not the hotel's fault.

Nice pool, helpful staff and comfortable clean room.

Great value, free airport drop off was a great service. We booked Hotel Cloud 9 Negombo on the last day so we could rest and freshen up before catching a midnight flight. We relaxed by the pool, saw sunset at the beach, had dinner near by restaurant before heading back to the airport. It was a perfect choice.

We only spent 1 night there before flying home. They offered complementary airport drop which was the best option for us. The staff was very nice. We just went there and sleep a few hours... :)

Very noisy. The reception desk was very close to our room and it was not so well for sleeping there.

The hotel is good for a short stay. I arrived in late afternoon, used the pool, went for a walk and then took a nap before heading to the airport. Their shuttle was on time (and free of charge). The staff was polite.

Cleaning has some room for improvement.

All in all was good. The team from Amila Manager to Chef and the rest were helpful and offered a pleasant welcome.

The Open Lobby area looked a bit worn out.

The staff is kind, compliments for the night manager who helped us to get a new room in the night because of loud noise in the room. The bed was good.

The stay was very disappointing for us... We had to change rooms because of a loud noise, AC of neighbours not working correctly. Lots of noise in the evening/ night. People talking loudly in the lobby and hallway. New room; noisy and squeeking AC. Not able to sleep properly. Bathroom utensils are not available as shown in pictures. Pool had so much chloride, water was not clear, can't swim under water because eyes instantly hurt. Breakfast not as shown in pictures, no egg, small amount of fruits, rest is Sri Lankan breakfast. On the day we leave for airport at 7am no possibility for breakfast! We asked before for take away, at the moment we leave no breakfast to be found. Ants in the bathroom on the towel... Worst experience I've had in Sri Lanka, for this price. Will not recommend and will not come back.

it was a beautiful property that I stayed in with lovely, helpful members of staff. I felt very welcomed as soon as I arrived and they catered for my every need. The food was delicious in the restaurant and the bedroom was extremely comfortable!

A very good boutique hotel with all necessary aminities with top quality. The staff are very cooperative and friendly. They allowed me early check in. Thanks to the management. Also got a free airport drop at 5 am. I strongly recommend this property if you want a good value for money.

good location for the airport for 1 night. Wouldn’t stay longer though. Good sized room Bathroom was nice Organised a tuk tuk to the bus station in the morning.

Room was very dirty - lots of cobwebs No mosquito net and the room was full of mosquitoes when we arrived. Tried to charge more for the room until corrected them.

The hotel is set away from the busy noisy strip just up a quiet residential street. The rooms are clean and pleasant and the bed comfortable. The pool is a good size and is suitable for several to sit around. The upstairs dining area is delightful as it is open and breezy. The new owner is an urbane man who is keen for the hotel to succeed and who I’m sure will further refresh and improve the hotel

The kitchen staff were not familiar with the breakfast routine but they should learn quickly. Similarly the reception staff were feeling their way but always tried to assist. The large wall mounted TV could not be made to work but again this may be due to a changeover of supply contracts.

We stayed twice here; the arrival night to Sri Lanka and the night before flying home. The first stay much better as we got the room we had booked as opposed to the second night when we didn’t. I insisted on a refund as the cost of the two rooms different, which I got. We were also allowed to leave the luggage whilst we traveled in SL an appreciated service. The drop off to the airport a useful addition. The pool is very nice and the superior room with pool views big and comfortable whilst the standard room faced the carpark and was small, dark, tiny bathroom and rather dirty including dead mosquitoes on the walls.

The remote location of this hotel adds extra costs of travel. The taxi to the hotel is USD 9 and the taxi to Colombo from the hotel a minimum of USD 24 (the hotel quoted USD 33 but we organised our own and cheaper transport). No chance to go to Colombo by train first time around but coming back to the hotel we did catch a local train which takes 1 1/2 hours. Ensure you travel off peak as the trains get so crowded people literally are hanging on outside the train. The distance to the hotel from bus and train station over 2km. There is nothing really around the hotel. Breakfast is advertised at a cost of USD 8 which is a lot as all you get is the smallest fruit platter possible, small glass of diluted juice, two eggs, one tablespoon (literally) of mushroom, two thin slices of tomato, one mini sausage and two slices of toast so thin that when toasted they became dry and hard just like a rusk. And the cheapest sort of instant coffee. Six weeks of travel and nowhere worse than here. New owners as of now we were told so can I advice that this type of money pinching will not get good reviews. A decent breakfast is important when traveling and here there is a nice venue in which to eat. A shame. There was a big drop in standard and quality between the first stay and the second.

- room stinks very bad - humidity in the room it was so bad that we didn't stay there! we didn't get the refund of the room. I don't understand how Booking can offer such a room to book !!!

Good place to stay for 1-2 nights. Clean and comfortable in a good location

Breakfast was basic and OK on the terrace upstairs.

When I came they were not aware of my booking and had to show on my phone the reservation. If you pay with a card you will get charged extra 3% which I wasn't aware. In the morning I heard rats noises from the ceiling they were mosquitos in the room when I came and the fridge was not on, so I had to call someone to fix it as the plug was not working.

everything was very nice and on high standard: staff, location, room. People at the hotel were really nice and helpfull!
