It was a little dated but very comfortable

Everything about this place was just beautiful. The room and bathroom were huge, stylish and very comfortable. Our room had a beautiful view over the mountains and although it was cold and rainy, we enjoyed it thoroughly. The breakfast was top notch and had a good variety of items. The staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us. We decided to stay in both nights and made use of their lapa / braai facilities which was really nice and cozy. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to swim, but the pool was clean and well maintained. Overall, our stay was fantastic and we would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Very quiet area, but not too far from town and the wine farms. Thank you to the team for making this an extra special birthday weekend for my partner.

bed was very uncomfortable and poor quality.

we were upgraded on arrival and the room/cottage we were put in is a great family spot

it's in desparate need of some maintenance. it's not 4star and therefore overpriced. I I would not do summer there as they give notice about mosquitoes and I was bitten even though it's too cold for them at this time of the season. Security very lax.

Ein hübsches, ruhiges Anwesen für die Erkundung der Weinregion von Kapstadt. Das Hauptgebäude mit Frühstücksraum sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und hatte Fußboden Erwärmung! Tolles Frühstück.

Um die Einfahrt im dunklen zu finden wäre eine Beleuchtung an der Hauptstraße toll. Eine Steckdose und Heizung im Badezimmer wäre ein weiterer Verbesserungsvorschlag.

absolutely fantastic breakfast with cozy fireplace and friendily staff. There was no-one at reception to meet us but it was a public holiday. very peaceful beautiful estate. not really recommended for young kids but fine with teenagers.

The rooms are very spacious, and we appreciated that there were coffee and tea provided, along with biscuits, There's a TV and lounge area in the room, which was cozy, and there was plenty of cupboard space and a safe. The breakfast was good and the staff were accommodating and friendly.

It's located further out of town than we'd anticipated (our fault), and the room could have used a little maintenance/TLC (the light fixture above the bath was broken for example).

The staff was nice and a saving grace to an otherwise terrible establishment.

The property is advertised as a 4 star property and yet the accommodation and experience is on par with a 2 star guest house. It is grossly expensive but absolutely sub par in every possible way. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

BREAKFAST WAS FRESH, WHOLESOME AND VERY TASTY. OUR ROOM WAS LARGER THAN EXPECTED AND THE UNDERFLOOR HEATING WAS AN ADDED BONUS. IT MADE THE SPACE WARM AND WELCOMING. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF THAT TREATED US WELL.

THE DECOR IN THE ROOM SEEMED A LITTLE DATED, LIKE THE SHINY CURTAINS AND BED FRILL AS WELL AS THE WALL ART AND VERY OLD MICROWAVE. THE TAP WAS ALSO LOOSE FROM THE SINK IN THE BATHROOM WHICH IS EASY TO FIX UP WITH A LITTLE MARINE SILICON. THE DRIVEWAY TOWARDS THE ESTATE WAS ALSO EXTREMELY BUMPY AND FULL OF POTHOLES.

Amazing location quiet and peaceful 10min from the town. Great team the the lodge.

Road into the lodge is pretty bad. And not well signed from the road it's easy to miss in the dark.

The staff were superb and made us feel at home the moment we got there. Breakfasts were outstanding and set us up for the day.

The approach road to the house from the R45 was a job in progress; uneven in places so had to be very careful to avoid the potholes

The friendliness of the staff. The service at breakfast was fabulous.

The bathroom: taps, towel rail and shower shelf - all were loose. The plugs don’t seal off so water drains out of basins. Small maintenance needed!

It was two single beds next to each other- would have preferred a double as we could feel the gap in the middle of the bed. Coffee machine was also not working

The entire estate was magical. The setting was so relaxing. If I had known it was going to be such an amazing stay, I would have extended my stay but had to be back at work again. Will definitely come back

The staff were really friendly and accommodating

In short, I had higher expectations for the property considering the price. The building, while beautiful, needs some TLC. The mattresses weren't comfortable, and the water pressure in the bath was slow. Also, there were no non-dairy milk options, and the breakfast was oily.

Pool war nicht sauber

Heel ruime kamer. Uitstekende bedden. Luxe uitstraling. Mooie tuin. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid en smakelijk. Het zwembad is fijn. De omschrijving klopt helemaal.
