We recently spent 10 delightful days at Alba Guesthouse and were thoroughly impressed by the experience. Here's a summary of what made our stay so memorable:
Great Value for Money: The guesthouse offered excellent value for the price, making it a fantastic choice for our extended stay.
Fresh Breakfast: Each morning, we enjoyed a breakfast with always-fresh products. The pancakes were mine personal favorite!
Comfortable Accommodations: Our room was cleaned daily, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay.
Outstanding Hosts: The true highlight of Alba Guesthouse was the hosts. They were incredibly kind and attentive, addressing any issues promptly. When our flight was delayed, the host welcomed us at 3:00 a.m. without any fuss. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly valued and at home.
Overall, the constant sense of being welcomed significantly enhanced our stay. We are grateful for the wonderful experience and look forward to returning to Alba Guesthouse on our next visit to Iceland.

At times, we experienced a bit of a wait for the bathrooms and showers, as there are only two available and the guesthouse was quite full during our stay. However, this was understandable given the high occupancy.

Gute Lage, nur ca 1,3km von der schönen City entfernt. Gutes ausreichendes Frühstück. Alles sehr einfach gehalten, aber dafür ist der Preis für Reykjavik echt gut. Mehr braucht man ja auch nicht

El trato por parte del matrimonio fue exquisito. El desayuno incluido, muy bueno, abundante, no dejan de reponer cuanto se acaba y variado. La ubicación no puede ser más cómoda: al lado de la Terminal de Autobuses, desde donde salen y llegan los que van al aeropuerto y desde donde salen muchísimas de las excursiones clásicas: aurora boreal, círculo dorado...
Repetiremos, sin duda alguna.
Nada. Fue todo perfecto. No es el Ritz, evidentemente, pero las comodidades y el trato son inmejorables.

It is only 10min walk from the capital street. The first stop for a supermarket is around 8 minutes. There is free parking. Very quite area. Nice breakfast for a guesthouse.
Grumpy owner, his wife is super polite, but he is very thaugh. No need for such atittude, especially when you work with people, not computers.

Quite cramped underground tiny keller room. very old building, no maintenance since long time it seems. only one bathroom room for many rooms and it was always busy.

Delightful guesthouse on the edge of central Reykjavik - very kind and polite host who executes a swift check-in and check-out. Lovely, well-heated room with a big bed, a sink and very, very fast WiFi. Thank you so much!

Cute house, cosy rooms, nice breakfast area and breakfast selection. Two minutes walk to bus hostel which is very convenient to catch the bus to Keflavík airport. Kind and accommodating owners.
Maybe not enough showers for all the guests when the guesthouse is busy?

property was very close to town center and many attractions . Beds were very comfortable and self service breakfast was fab . Tea coffee and small kitchenware available to microwave a meal . host was lovely man who helped with anything we asked and house was always well heated and warm as was the water for showers
shared bathroom but we knew that and price we paid reflected it . Dated deco but as pictures showed ( bargain holiday let )

The man working at the guesthouse was incredibly rude and made me feel very uncomfortable.

The owners were warm and lovely people. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is good. We loved the pancakes. The bed was also comfortable.
Alltogether we enjoyed it a lot and would definetly recommend the guesthouse for staying in Reykjavik.
