The room was a little dated. It was cold when we first walked in. We ask for the heating to be turned on which they did comodate.

Nice modern room and bathroom. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful . In a nice location . Food both on the evening and for breakfast was well cooked and tasty. The price for one evening, including breakfast, was good value .

the location is ideal for the business trips I make. the staff are exceptional, the food is outstanding and you are treated very well. best hotel I’ve stayed in and will only stay here from now on.

nothing bad at all. just a word of warning that food is stopped at 8pm. absolutely not a criticism, just something to note when planning your check in.

Bowes incline is just great excellent location nice clean rooms and the food is fantastic when we got our table we had Richard again he is just fantastic great personality and outstanding service every time

I travel a lot staying in hotels. I know when i stay in a well run business. Friendly staff, good food no issues. Thanks to the staff and management ... a very nice stay!

We experienced difficulty with locating the hotel , the post code takes you to an incorrect location , use the hotel name , another direction sign would be useful.

A bit difficult to find. Satnav can’t find it by using the post code. Suggest leaving the A1M towards Washington /Springwell then look for the sign to Wrekenton. Follow the road towards Wrekenton for about a mile, then look for a small sign to the left to the hotel which is then another mile down a narrow track

Considering the hotel is just above the motorway it is very quiet. Nice sized rooms and very clean with very comfotable beds. There is quite an extensive menu and you get man sized portions. The cooked breakfast is very good and will set you up for the day.

Nothing of note with the Hotel. Depending on your Sat. Nav. finding it may be a problem, this is not the hotels fault. Give them a call and they will put you right

Nothing everything was as expected & needed

We stayed in room 8 which was absolutely spotless. It had a comfy bed and the shower was lovely. We stayed B&B, and the breakfast was plentiful (though not piping hot). We ate in the pub both nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu is extensive and the portions are huge, making it particularly good value. On the second night we had the Christmas Fayre, which was very good. Despite being so near the A1 it was very quiet, and about 15 mins walk / 2 mins drive away there are three more good pubs as well as some valuable (but sadly neglected) railway and UK heritage sites (the lower part of Bowes Railway; Shaden’s Hill). All in all we had a lovely stay and would stay again.

The rooms are lovely and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely group of staff.
