Lovely clean homely guest house 🏠

Joanne was very welcoming nice clean warm place we really enjoyed our stay

We picked Philmar because of its location to a relatives campsite. When I read the reviews, I was expecting great things! Our bathroom was lovely and the breakfast room was very nice as was the breakfast delivered & cooked by Joanne.

It was advertised as a family room so it had a small single put me up which was very low. The double bed was too small for my sister & I so we alternated between that & the single. The room is very dated as is the furniture. My suggestion would be, as people ie couples are bigger than the average double bed, put in a kingsize and get rid of one of the bedside tables (not used much) and turn the wardrobe sideways. And buy a better single if u want to keep the room as a family room.

It was what I wanted. In a quiet area, away from the crowds and close to the beach. The host Joanne was welcoming and very nice.
