I was warmly greeted on arrival by the kind lady at reception and shown to my room. The room was much larger than expected, very clean and really good value for money. I had an early boat trip booked for the next morning and they offered to prepare breakfast earlier for me. It’s the little things like this that really go along way when you are travelling. The property is a short walk away from the lake and the main square so perfect location to see/do everything you need to while in Puno.

I would recommend to my friends! Everything was wonderful, thank you for your hospitality.

La atención de la encargada. Cuando llegamos a la habitación, se revisaron las sábanas y vimos que estaban con cabellos, lo que nos hizo suponer que no habían sido cambiadas desde el huésped anterior. Cuando se lo comunicamos a la encargada, ella simplemente nos dijo que no tenía otra habitación para cambiarnos, y que nos iba a devolver el pago para que nos vayamos a buscar otro lugar dónde quedarnos. Obviamente no es algo que esperamos, teniendo en cuenta que acabábamos de llegar y eran las 7.30 pm aproximadamente. Le propuse que solo nos cambiara las sábanas, porque en realidad solo me estaba generando un problema al invitarnos a retirarnos del hospedaje a esa hora, ya que solo queríamos salir a buscar comida y ya regresar a descansar porque el día siguiente iniciábamos un tour muy temprano. La señora aceptó pero a regañadientes, no sin antes preguntar cuánto tiempo nos íbamos a demorar, porque ella cerraría las puertas del hospedaje a las 9.30 pm. Al volver, las sábanas habían sido cambiadas, pero caímos en cuenta que el water estaba sucio. Ya no reclamamos por la hora pero, en conclusión, no nos hemos quedado con la mejor de las impresiones.

Maya Inn may not be a fancy facility but its wonderfull staff and its price - quality ratio make it really work! They allowed us to check in early and rest a bit, before our Titicaca tour. Breakfast was nice and tasty. Location is really close to the Port and 15 minutes walking distance from the central square. For a one-two day stay, it is a great choice.

There is no heating as stated at Booking. Eventually it was not needed, but if you plan on visiting on a colder month it would be a problem. Pillows need to be changed, they are not comfortable anymore.

The location is very convenient, between the port and the city centre. The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was big, clean, and the facilities overall were in great condition. Breakfast was also great!

Have you ever been inside one of these giant freezers where they have the coldest beers for a warm day at the beach? Well, imagine that you spend the night inside one of those, but with a comfortable bed. Yes, they provided me with big blankets, but whenever I went to the toilet, I came back to a frozen bed again, and it took time to reheat it with my body warmth. It could be great if they could provide the guests with heaters, which probably they had, but if they already know that the night in Puno is gonna be -4ºC, probably it would make sense to just leave a heater there. The location is good, but the street is a bit dirty.

It was quiet (also the neighborhood), clean comfortable. The kindest lady at the reception. Room size and quality was a true steal for the price.

everything was great, although I did not use the shower, so I cannot comment on that. The room was cozy in the bed with warm. Also very close to the port. lots of good restaurants nearby.

the room is big and the bed comfortable. Employees are extremely helpful and nice. I booked a tour with the hotel. Receptionist organized a shared airport transport for me, which was way cheaper than a taxi for myself, but we went around Puno for an hour to pick up more people.

Some hairs in the bed, seems like that always the case in Peru lol. Breakfast ist just bread+marmelade, juice and pretty bad coffee.

The woman who welcomed me in the evening was really lovely and helpful. The room was great and not cold thanks to some extra blankets I got. Good ensuite bathroom. Great wifi.

The biggest no-go for me was that I was waken up at 7.20 for the breakfast by a knock on the door even though I told them in the evening that I wanted breakfast at 8 am. I was really tired because I couldn't get much sleep the nights before and would have preferred to sleep longer. The breakfast was so poor that I should have skipped it anyway. The woman who was in charge in the morning was also unfriendly. Such a shame because otherwise I would have given it a 10.

Close to the bus station if you need to spend some time between your rides.

There was no hot water this time in the bathroom. We stayed here before and the shower was perfect. But this time, we were the only people in the whole hotel and it each time I had to look for personnel to open the front door for me to just leave, and I guess the boiler was shut down because there were no people but us. We stayed there for only 16 hours, so no big deal. But I would not recommend this place for longer stays and next time I'll chose another option. Another thing is that the Wi-Fi password and username listed on a night stand in the room did not work. No problem for me, as I have Peruvian mobile internet. But in case you're a backpacker relying on Wi-Fi here, take notice.

the owner was the most helpful person we met - she helped us organise our trips to the islands as well as our early ride to the airport. she was so kind and thoughtful! the room was fantastic, spacious with 4 large beds, hot water for a nice shower and everything you might need. as the nights were quite cold the owner also proposed to lend us a heater which was very welcome! the property is a short walk from the bus station and the center - perfect location we could even have our room when we arrived at 6 in the morning after a long bus ride from Cuzco- Amazing!
