My room was excellent, large with ensuite WC and shower, clean, tidy, in good decorative order and opposite to the spacious car park, also next to the pub/restaurant where I had my evening meal. Food in the restaurant is excellent, good and unusual selections of meals at various costs, expensive but delicious and good quality fresh food which justifies the cost. A glass of white wine was expensive at just under £8 and a dash of lemon brought the cost to just under £9 which I think is too much. But in general, all is good. Staff are polite, friendly and very professional. The pub and restaurant is lovely, traditional, clean and a great atmosphere too.

Great location, very convenient

Perfect location for a weekend rugby break. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. The match day arrangements with bar outside are great, offering the ideal venue to meet up before and after a game. Rooms are comfortable and separate to the pub so no problems with noise. The bar offers a typical menu of pub food, which is really well executed - booking a table on match day is recommended.

If it rains as heavily as it did on our visit, room 1 can be a little noisy due to the spray from passing vehicles hitting the window - but that was following rainfall of biblical proportions!

Convenient location just off the motorway and for getting into Exeter for meetings. The food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast The free WiFi in the rooms also helped.

The only downside was the time breakfast was available. On this occasion I had flexibility to work from room until it was available.

Proximity to M5. Super pub and great selection of lovely food. The breakfast was really special. Most of all the customer service from the manager, a young guy who went that extra 10 miles to make sure that all his were happy. I watched him patiently deal with an elderly women, what a star.

My husband and I stopped here for a night to break our journey to Cornwall. It was just what we needed. The room was nice, clean and cosy. The staff were helpful and friendly and we had an amazing cooked breakfast in the pub.
