Cristina was an amazing host she helped us with our tours and checked in on us at our meals to see how we were doing. The young woman who checked us in set up three separate tours for us that were amazing! We saw monkeys from the dining room at breakfast.
Not sure. It was all so great.

Amazing location and amazing rooms. Could lie in bed in the morning and look right into the forest with birds almost close enough to touch. Great view of the volcano too.
Bed was too firm for my taste.

Christine and staff were friendly, courteous and a pleasure to work with.
There was no AC, so during the day the accommodations were warmer than we would like, but it did cool off in the evening.

This is a quiet, private unique property. The cabin was clean and comfortable, offering an amazing private space to relax. The host and staff were friendly and responsive to our needs. I would recommend this location for a nice stay near Rio Celeste.

The birds in the garden are astonishing.
The wifi was non existent.

Very easy to get to from Liberia airport, which makes for a great way to get north to see sloths and jungle for a few nights before you head to the beach. Grounds were beautiful. No AC in the rooms but fans provided and we were very comfortable at night. Breakfast was wonderful, and watching all of the birds was an added bonus. Went on a sloth tour at a spring paradise per hotel's recommendation and it was amazing. All in all, great two night stay and will definitely recommend to future friends.
There aren't many food options in the area so come prepared for that. Wifi wasn't great, which I had read in other reviews so I was fine with it.

Fabulous. The accommodations, surroundings and food was everything we hoped and more. The owner was super nice and made us feel so welcomed and at home. Seeing the wide variety of birds and wildlife on the property was a bonus. We cannot wait to return.
Everything was perfect!

This was the first place we stayed after we landed in Liberia. We wanted to see Rio Celeste before heading to Arenal and La Fortuna area. We were the only guests for that one day/night - it was green/low season (me, my husband and young daughter were traveling), and Frank was so hospitable and kind. We enjoyed our short stay so much. The room was very beautiful and it felt like you were in the middle of all the gorgeous nature that surrounded you. Would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling in this area.

BREAKFAST! Let's get something out of the way...I ate one of the best/freshest breakfast in my life! Christine put a lot of effort to ensure her breakfast is second to none. I can still taste her home made nutella and butter. The resort is very beautiful with plenty of nature around you. It is very special and I can see why the owners felt in love with it. The hotel's view of the volcano were super impressive, and the rooms looked like they were recently renovated. It is also fairly closed to town (not within walking distance). But the best thing of all, was the cordiality of the staff.
But there was one huge problem for us...there was no air conditioner in the room (I overlooked this fact). We were coming back from hiking and spending a few hours outdoors (read heat) and were ready for a cold bath. Despite 2 cold showers, the room never got to a pleasant temperature (Even with the windows open in early March). The room has a small fan that offers no improvement because it is not powerful (fancy fan...but ineffective). I drove to town to buy a bag of ice to see if that helped, but it didn't change much. It was not a pleasant evening and I couldn't sleep. Great romantic hotel...but that was a huge pitfall.

Amazing location, central to many things in the area. The grounds were well kept and the staff were extremely friendly, we felt like it was a good value compared to some of the other accommodations in the area.
The room we were in felt a little outdated, and the room we initially reserved was not available not a big deal, but we were not told ahead of time. There is a lot of great information on the website about where to visit, but the host didn’t provide a ton of additional information or recommendations, which we would have liked in order to maximize our time.

Lovely tropical garden setting off the main road, large private individual cabins surrounded by lush vegetation. The 2 shared hot tubs are lovely to soak in as you watch the colours of the setting sun on the 2 volcano peaks across the valley. Great bird viewing from the dining room. Hearty breakfasts with tropical fruits, omelettes and home made jams. Everything super clean and tidy. Perfect air temperatures - hot/warm during the day and pleasantly cool in the evenings. Christine, the French owner/ hostess shared great tips about the area's highlights. It was tranquil base "home" for our 5-day visit to the area (i.e., close to Tenorio National Park /Rio Celeste, various hot springs, Heliconia nature trail and hanging bridges, RCR River rafting, and lovely drives through surrounding cowboy country).

Very friendly owner of the lodge made sure everybody was happy. Good food for breakfast and dinner. Christine, the owner feeds the birds that come very close to the dining room window. Lots of humming birds, toucans and chachalacas

Outstanding property, very clean, amidst nature with beautiful trees and flowers but not overwhelmingly rustic .
Wi-Fi is solid but has some trouble spots. Don’t know why you need it when you’re at such a beautiful place though!

This property is picture perfect. We were warmly greeted by Christina and shown around the property on our way to our bungalow/stand-alone cabin. Jacuzzis are located close to the rooms for easy access. The room was beautifully decorated with all the necessities and the most gorgeous view of the volcanoes. We had a private patio looking out on the volcanoes and completely surrounded by the sounds of nature including howler monkeys! Drinking coffee at sunrise from the patio was so peaceful! Breakfast was served fresh and hot! The important things to know: English, Spanish and French plus others spoken, WIFI, parking available, very secure, comfortable beds and hot shower! Due to low season the restaurant was closed temporarily but open only for breakfast. The property is located close to National park Tenorio and Rio Celeste, several nice restaurants, liquor store and a market! We did not see signs of night life mainly due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place. We definitely want to return for a longer stay in the future!

The lodge is very beautiful, very clean. Each lodge is apart from each other where we could relax and enjoy the view and nature from the wide glass terrace. Many birds are coming to the garden. Very friendly colibris. Jacussi over looking the Tenoria. Very delicious breakfast. Super helpful and friendly staffs. We definitely want to go back! One of the best experience we had in our trip!
