Avoid this hotel-they ripp off their guests!

Me and my friends recently stayed at AXEL beach in Ibiza and had a terrible experience. (2 rooms) Despite being assured at check-out that there were no outstanding charges, we later found unauthorized charges (as we were already back in our hometown) on our credit card for minibar usage that we did not incur. It was over a 100€ with different drinks like beer etc (we didn’t even drink beer). Also no information at all from the Hotel. they just took the money. We called them, wrote e mails but the hotel manager was unresponsive and failed to resolve the issue. A check out is there to look what expenses are made and then it is the responsabilty to tell the guests about it. Their unethical practice of charging guests for services they didn't use is unacceptable. We had to involve our lawyer to deal with this matter. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you value your peace of mind and hard-earned money. Stay elsewhere to avoid being ripped off. And the worst thing, after a vacation the last thing yoo want to deal with is dealing with these type of things.

The reception staff were very friendly especially Roberto. The fitness centre is well equipped with a great view of the bay. The spa is much more than I could have expected, there's a steam room, sauna and automated shower, in addition to the spa pool all in a very relaxed setting. The main swimming pool area is well equipped with plenty of massive sunbeds which we really enjoyed. Cleaning was regularly performed and very efficient. The local beach is adjacent to the pool deck, there was quite a lot of seaweed washed up on the beach each day but this doesn't affect the main sandy part of the beach. There's another beach a very short walk away (just turn left) with beach bars. The hotel apartments are spacious with high ceilings and some carefully chosen fittings. We went to bed relatively early and were never awakened by late night revellers.

I was so happy when we left that I forgot to mention the lack of ventilation in the spa dressing room, and the spa shower drain which was a little slow to empty.

Los baños muy descuidados. Las duchas atascadas no podías ducharte con calma porque se inundaba la habitación y la griferia de todos los sanitarios no estaba bien mantenida siendo un sitio con mucha cal. Bastante mejorable este aspecto

The receptionist guy was very friendly , he allocated room with nice view . The breakfast was affordable and properly prepared. The hotel have a nice view beach view with swimming pool

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! There was NO HOT WATER. In none of the 3 days we stayed there, when we brought it up to the staff the front desk person was incredibly rude.. said we were paying for a 4 star hotel and not a 5 star.. and if we wanted hot water we needed to pay more at another hotel. The manager did apologize for the employees behavior but did nothing to solve our problem but to offer free breakfast on our last day. Absurd! Do not put you money on this place!

The staff was exceptionally good, helpful, relaxed, respectful, smiling, communicative. The pool area and the restaurant area was great, the food and beverages were great. The apartment was spacious.

The floor in the pool area is slippery, the gym is pathetic. You need more machines lol. The room did not meet my expectations in terms of decor. It was bland, ugly and boring, unlike in the advertising on website… The facilities in the apartment wasn’t great…. No kettle, and the coffee machine? Please upgrade it. The lighting in the apartment made me feel like I was in a hospital, there was nothing to make the place look inviting… Really disappointing. This is meant to be a hotel chain primarily catering for my community and yes, hetero friendly… but I was disappointed to see that the majority of guests were unhappy looking straight common people. Only a few stood out and made me feel comfortable. I go on holiday to dream and enhance my gay life, surround myself with a likeminded crowd (regardless of sexuality).

Noting we had no electricity for 3 days Our air conditioning didn’t work all week Our toilet didn’t flush it was overflowing and clogged for the first 5 days after asking from day 1 to be fixed .

Good size and air conditioned rooms

We have to request to be moved to a different room as it looked like someone had just stayed in it: not properly made beds, dirty sheets, and unclean floors. The air conditioner was also broken, and they had fans instead. Additionally, the shower floods, and they did not let us know in advance that they would be deducting 3.30 eur per person per night from our deposit at checkout.

Very clean - good location - you can get a good sleep at any time - big rooms - staff are 5***** - pool is superb great to also be so close to beach - will definitely be back

Location is good if you visiting the west side of Ibiza , and Sant Antoni is well connected (if you have a car) and good restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our 2 bedroom flat was gigantic in terms of space specially the private terrace.

Only Paid parking in the hotel and not so cheap - and in the street is limited or non existent. Room had plain / basic decoration , needs a bit more effort into making it cosy. The gym needs improvement !

Cleaning and also some hidden charges!!! There was not mentioned in booking about additional charges while it was required during check-in.

The junior suite was huge. Lots of open space and massive balcony. Perfect location with pool ad sea view.

The mattresses were filthy. We asked for our bed to be split on arrival. When housekeeping removed the sheets, both mattresses were badly stained and dirty. Good mattress proctors need to be used.

when we were not there our rooms were opened and all the stuff was checked the passports were left open when we complained about it to the reception they simply did not want to help

outstanding property, lovely apartment with good facilities. large comfortable bed, great shower.

towels were not 100% steam cleaned. had make up stains on them. air con in the lounge was not working and the blind would not roll up. they have travel kettles but it did not have a filter so unable to use it. didn’t make a fuss as the staff were so nice.
