We had such a great stay! The house was very clean and cozy, and the location was ideal. It can be hard to find rentals for just a small group and this was perfect for the 5 of us. Everything was well-stocked and perfect for our visit. We hope to be back again soon!

There were 6 in our group all of which are retired. We had the best time and the house and accommodations were perfect for our group. We all laughed and said “what happens in Galveston stays in Galveston”. Our kids and grand kids wouldn’t believe what a great time we had. The house was right on the beach. The sunsets were spectacular. We would definitely this hime and the price was great!

Great beach house for a relaxing stay. Only downside is it comes with lots of fees through VRBO that nearly doubles the cost.

Loved our daily walks down the beach, unwinding on the top deck with a cocktail, perfect breeze and the sound of the waves. It was just what i needed. The only downfall, no good restaurants in the area. House was stocked with everything you could need plus some. Very homey!

We love this property! It was clean and had everything we needed. The views were amazing. The beach is closer than it looks in the pictures. I spent most of my 5 days on the porch enjoying the view, the surf, the sunrises and moonrises. The location is quiet, and the beach is a pedestrian beach, so there aren't many people around. In the mornings, there are some people walking their dogs, but most of the day, it feels like a private beach. I loved the outside shower and the swing on the lower level. There are plenty of chairs on the porch. Bring mosquito spray. The first two days, there weren't any mosquitos, but the rest of the time, they were bad. I appreciated the beach towels provided. They were extra-large and plush. During our stay from August 27 through September 1, we did not see or experience any tar on the beach. The air conditioner worked great! Our entire experience was wonderful! The house is clean, comfortable and cool!! We rented a golfcart from Rick's and they delivered it right away and picked it up on time. Be aware the beach is pedestrian and golf carts (or any motorized vehicle) is not allowed. There are 3 or 4 places to ride the cart right down to the water and in the neighborhood across the street, there is a marina, a pool, a store, and a restaurant. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent 4 nights and were very sad to have to leave! We loved everything about this place. A couple things we loved: - Cleanliness - Everything you could need to be able to cook from home - Really appreciated the makeup remover wipes (because i forgot to pack mine). Also the makeup mirror in the bathroom! - A/C worked amazingly!! - Cant beat the location, being on the beach was our favorite part. The walk to the beach is a short one and we loved all the windows that let us see the beach from the inside. The uniquely shaped windows were really cool too. The "dome" shape of the house was so cute and added to the uniqueness of the property. It made it easy for us to distinguish which house was ours when arriving too. - Loved the swing at the bottom of the house, we spent a lot of time down there. - There is a decent sized yard with beautiful grass which our fur babies appreciated. - Love the secluded location of the house on the island too. It's very peaceful, beach was not crowded at all. There are plenty of local restaurants within 10 minutes to choose from too if you'd like to go out. - Highly recommend Rick's Beach Rentals, The Galvestonite Bistro and Seven Seas Grocery for any of your needs! Long story short, we already can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time at this property for my husband's birthday. The view was amazing. Nice decor updates. Kitchen and Bathrooms had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and house really clean. We had a great time and will definitely rent again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Check in and check out could not have been easier. The house was comfortable, the beach was close. Beautiful views. We would definitely stay here again. I appreciate the details included like hand soap, dish soap, and kleenex. I appreciate the quick responses and courtesy provided when I had questions for the property manager.

We weren't planning on spring break in Galveston but stumbled across this listing and made a trip of it. This property was everything we were looking for...quiet, private beach, well stocked with needed supplies, room for everyone, clean. Perfect! It is outside of town so requires a 10-15 minute drive to access amenities but we actually prefer that type of vacation...it's quiet and away from the crowds. We couldn't ask for a better property for our spring break!

Just as expected and advertised! Probably the cleanest rental I've stayed in! Comfy beds. During our stay it was very quiet - except the ocean waves once you step outside! Very well kept. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a beach front location to escape our cold winter weather. This place did not disappoint! It is in a beautiful quiet location with wonderful access to the beach. Communication with the property manager was very good and check in was easy. The house is very comfortable and very clean and well equipped. We loved that it was dog friendly so our buddy could go with us. I highly recommend this property and I would definitely come back!

Great location house was very clean and inviting We stayed with our two grown children and their dogs. Kitchen was well stocked with pots pans anything needed to make meals

Nice place!

This place was excellent for our family of five - a very uniquely designed small beach house right on the shore. We even took our dog with us and walked on the beach daily. It is a little bit of a drive from downtown Galveston, but worth it! The house was well equipped with necessary items in the kitchen and bathrooms. We hope to come back soon! We highly recommend this place to anyone.

Surfside was perfect for our week-long stay during Thanksgiving. Although it rained every day, we were happy seeing & hearing the waves from the house, playing the many games provided & enjoying the well-stocked kitchen. We look forward to returning asap.

Very easy.

It was really a fun spot to stay at. Right on the beach with our own private (I'm assuming) path through the dune. Great view up and down the beach on the rounded deck upstairs. Very bright, tons of natural light. The main bedroom was downstairs and there were two bedrooms upstairs through a spiral stair case. Cool place.

Absolutely loved it. Spent my yearly solo vacation here instead of hiking somewhere in the mountains. I was not disappointed with my choice of change this year. This place is one of a kind with a vibe that's hard to explain. My goal for this stay was to decompress, rid myself of stress and have no schedule or expectations from anyone. I definitely picked the right place. I honestly think the structure itself adds another level of comfort and zen

not crowded, plenty of space and privacy, great view and ambiance. Accommodations were a little funky/different, but we enjoyed them. Very clean.

We stayed in this property for a few days with our daughter and grands from Scotland. It was clean, roomy, well-equipped and so lovely to be right on the beach! Pelicans flew over frequently - so cool! Highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful time in this original house and at the beach. It has everything a family need to enjoy a great and peaceful vacation. We just woke up and were able to has an amazing and relaxing view straight to the beach. The owners thought in every detail and choose a beautiful and modern decoration. We definitely want to go back!

We loved our visit so much last year that we came back this year (and brought our pup)! This property checks all the boxes: right on the beach, not crowded, quiet, fully stocked (towels, kitchen/cooking items, washer/dryer, comfortable furniture, ocean toys), and extremely clean. We enjoyed exploring Galveston during the heat of the day and playing on the beach in the late afternoon. Be sure to bring good flashlights so your family can walk the beach after dark as the crabs come out at night. Sean is Absolutely Amazing and has always been very hospitable and responsive to all questions. The next time we visit Galveston, this will be our first pick for housing.

This was the perfect getaway for relaxation and recharging. The home offers every amenity you could ever need. And did I mention the beach?? Steps away from the backyard is your own private oasis! We watched pelicans feeding, sighted an elusive Galveston Ghost Wolf one night and experienced the lunar eclipse the next. Such a lovely spot that we plan to book again next year!
