A wonderful place to spend a short or long holiday on Lake Taupo. A unique family and charming atmosphere. A perfect place for a couple, not for a family with children, which increases the quality of relaxation,

Welcoming hosts, easy communication, lovely setting, comfortable lodgings.

Shared “kitchen facility” - we were only there briefly for overnight stay so not a problem.

In a beautiful quiet garden setting. The garden was secure, which meant our small dog could sniff around with no chance of escape. Our room & bathroom were very clean and comfortable. There was a shared room next door to make tea, coffee etc ( supplied ) with the other guests ( 1 room ). Easy to get to, with a central location close to the lake and Rainbow Point. Delightful hosts could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Complimentary Continental breakfast had far more choices than home.

The room was a little cramped

We wre expecting a cooked breakfast but it was a continental style. It was well presented.

Having to go outside to get to the tea facilities was not good, especially in the cold!

We were made to feel at home. The location was convenient for the places we wanted to visit. Our host was enthusiastic about the locality and gave advice on what to do and how to get there.

Breakfast was not bad, but some previous reviews I had read stated there was a cooked breakfast provided, so had been hoping that was an option for that at least one of the days we stayed. Overall though an excellent dog friendly place to stay. Donna was very accommodating & helpful.

We found it difficult to work around not having a sink to be able to wash plates, dog bowls etc. Didn't want to use the bathroom for that. The shared facility part was a little awkward.

Excellent breakfast and very nice owners. Best bed of the whole trip.

Good breakfast. Dog friendly. Lovely child was there also. Gorgeous garden.

Nothing to dislike but a place to hang clothes would be a great addition. Just a hook with clothes hanger. I could hear the guy next door snoring but it wasn't a problem, just hoped they couldn't hear my TV.

Warm, cozy and welcoming on a cold winter’s evening. Everything very clean and very comfortable bed. Even our dog was warmly welcomed. Lovely breakfast all provided and great company too!

The garden was delightful, and it was secure for the dog. Lovely big bathroom. Donna was friendly and helpful. Comfy bed. Tasty breakfast.

I always miss not having a bedside table, but there wasn't room for one. There was a small room next door with a table and chairs, also a small fridge. No sink, so not a kitchenette. The room was cold, maybe a wall panel heater isn't up to the job in Taupo. However the electric blanket kept us warm

Loved the hospitality of Don and the privacy of the room. Its located in an unassuming place, but the care and attention to detail helped us to feel more welcome during the stay. The preparation of the bathroom was above and beyond expecations with everything prepared.

The location was pretty easy to miss among the housing, so we passed by several times before finally seeing it.

Donz and Elvis were very welcoming. The facilities were lovely.

Spacious clean room with a large comfy bed, the hosts were also friendly & helpful. Breakfast was in the hosts home which was shared with other guests.

There was a small shared room where you could make tea or coffee immediately adjacent to our bedroom which was separated by a sliding door, as others used this room at any time we were woken as early as 7.30am. The bedroom was also a little dated.

Lovely quiet location, very comfortable, great breakfast, close to main area of Taupo, loved the dog, what a sweetheart he was. Host very obliging

Should have read the small print, thought there was cooking facilities but there wasn't. Also thought we were getting a bath but only a shower.

The breakfast choices were very nice with plenty of variety and tea/coffee/biscuits available in our room if needed. The garden setting was relaxing, quiet and private and the proximity to the lake just a short walk away. We would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

Fabulous accommodation and very friendly hosts.

What’s not to like. Helpful host, many breakfast options of cereals and bread,English muffins and crumpets to toast, a large selection of spreads, fresh fruit with beverages. Had a shared kitchenette facility for the two units with toaster and jug plus plates and cutlery if you were eating a meal you had brought in,also a small fridge. The other great beauty was the extensive tree canopy with shaded gardens beneath. There was a garden table and chairs, a lovely setting for a picnic and cuppa. The birds loved it too.

Would have appreciated a squeegee for the shower to reduce condensation in the bathroom.

Really appreciated being welcomed with our dog. Loved the interesting gardens.
