Communal kettle needs a proper clean or just replacing

The house had been recently renovated an was clean enough, as long as you don't go outside!!!

Got a phone call the day before I was due to travel with the property owner informing that this was a historical booking and the property had been closed since March which meant that I had no where to go. they said that they would try and get me somewhere else to stay, so they came back a couple of hours later with alternative accommodation in Crewe(33 Lawton St CW2 7HZ) which was fine as the purpose of the visit was to go to Alton Towers. I asked for some photos of the accommodation which looked fine, I asked about the area it was in and the person I dealt with told me that it was a working class area which I was reasonably happy but a bit concerned with it given the short notice. When we got there there you could see that the area was quite run down and there were homeless people outside the shops at the end of the road. also on the Saturday night I took my partners daughter and her friend for food, we felt so uncomfortable at the people who were hanging around the streets. This did cause quite a lot of anxiety and hence we decided to leave on Sunday morning. When I got back I sent the property letting agency a text to let them know what happened but they did not answer, so I left it a couple of days. So before I put a review in I decided to give them one more chance telling them I was going to complain, this time they answered. they more or less told me that I was not getting any money back, even though I didn't ask for it, and that there was nothing wrong with the accommodation. There' a website called ilivehere which tells you the level of crime in areas of Britain this scored high on crime and antisocial behaviour, the letting agency never answered when I asked them to look at this. It was a nightmare from start to finish be very wary of booking anything with this company as it looks like their properties are in rough areas, the houses are set up for single lets as there are locks on all of the bed room doors. NO PLACE FOR A HOLIDAY.
