Our accommodation was a very attractive, comfortable, spotlessly clean ground-floor flatlet (living area with sofa, table, chairs and kitchenette, semi-screened sleeping area with exceptionally comfortable bed, ensuite bathroom with good shower). Agreeably efficient radiator central heating was linked to that of the charming owners' accommodation on the floors above. The flat looked out on to a small terrace and, beyond, to the owners' very extensive hillside gardens. The terrain as a whole, which includes a swimming pool for use of guests, is secluded and appealing. Major roads and the coastal conurbation are not far away, but there is no disturbance.

The approach to the property is intricate, involving a sudden turn off the main road and then some pretty but narrow lanes. The accommodation is nevertheless best reached by car (and access to and from the airport is very swift); but I think it is also on a direct bus route from Fuengirola railway station to Mijas. Restaurants are very plentiful in both Mijas and Fuengirola, though not many are easy to get to on foot.

We just felt so, so welcome at the Finca la Tierra and Marina and Paul are just the perfect hosts. We enjoyed this green and quite place and the positive energy every minute we spent there.

The option to use air conditioning at times.

Perfect for peace and quiet. Wonderful hosts with lovely touches like fresh filtered water and produce from the garden in our studio. Delightful little place. Would recommend a car but had no problems with taxis arriving in under 10 mins - costs around 10 euros to travel to Fuengirola.

Amazing location with wonderful garden, perfect oasis for relaxation. Paul and Marina were great. Will definitely come back to stay longer and discuss permaculture projects with Paul :D
