This was a last minute booking as we were not happy where we were staying at previously so we chose this as it was relatively close to the safari (was about 30 mins in the end by jeep, which we booked with Navin Lanka Tours who was excellent) There are lots of positives for the place, really nice swimming pool area with lovely furniture, they had obviously taken time and effort in the design of the gardens as well, rooms were a decent size, beds were comfortable. It did look as if they had a bar in the garden to order drinks from but was not manned (maybe lack of guests). I think if they got wifi working and fixed a few of the little issues like the shower etc then this would be 10/10 but understand that perhaps they have had a tough time of it the last few years so money may be quite tight, they have made a real effort with the place though and it could be amazing. Arranged a taxi for us to Trincomalee as well so were very helpful. Food was excellent as well, quite a basic selection but nicely done and tasty.

No WIFI anywhere on the property, no fridge, toaster or kettle in the room even though Booking.com said their would be so not sure whose error it was as I specifically chose a room with a fridge (and kettle for morning coffee) as well! No fitness entre either unless they mean the swimming pool! Shower wasn't fixed to the wall properly so would only face the wall so you had to hold it when showering. Air con wasn't the best at 16 degrees it was till quite warm in the room (shutting the bathroom door helped a bit) Service a little slow to just get drinks before dinner and no separate bar even though it looked like it did have in the garden area. Would have been nice to sit in the garden with a drink rather than having to go to the restaurant area to get served.

I highly recommend this hotel for everyone who prefer to chill. Meals are delicious. Rooms and outside is very clean. The surrounded area made me marvelous. definitely need to visit again.
