The Villa was beautiful-- great to have 5 nice bedrooms each with an ensuite. Super location--short walk to all the fun. But what really made it special was the staff. Javier and Cande kept everything running smooth and tidy, always friendly and smiling. And Javier makes a great margarita. Hector was really special. We're all big foodies and even have a trained chef in our group and we were blown away by his salsas, guacamole, paella, gazpacho and the best breakfasts. Hector was very friendly and fun to hang out with and even let us watch him make some of the salsa's we loved, revealing his secret ingredient (which I won't reveal here!). Truly the best guacamole and green salsa we've ever had. The staff just put an already great villa over the top. We're already figuring out a time to book for next year and hope to see them all again then.

I booked the Villa for my 50th birthday. There were 8 total in my group. My friends commented over and over that the property was spectacular. The villa at sunset is pretty magical. The open air style allows for cool ocean breezes all day. The pool is fantastic. The privacy is great and the staff were exceptional. The owners are very prompt in answering questions and the house manager Isela was on top of everything. If anything, I over communicate and all of my questions were always responded to with speed and friendliness. The property is located a very short walk to the beach and just blocks from many restaurants and shops. We will be back!

Casa Ladera is perfect in every way, which is why I stayed there for a second time and for a whole week! Mark and his team delivered once again and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Paty and Ivan are great and I highly recommend the fajitas if they cater. A quick walk down the stairs to the beach, nearby the lovely Almar Resort/Manatamar Beach Club. Try La Palapa for brunch on the beach for a relaxing dinner experience. Overall, 10/10 for Casa Ladera.

We love Casa Ladera. This is the 3rd time I have rented the place and we have never been disappointed. We asked the owners to find a cook for us and Patty and Ebon were AMAZING! Great location, quiet but walkable to everything. Very easy checkin and great space for 4-8 people.

Welcome margaritas, guac, and chips and salsa on arrival were fabulous. !Everyone is so kind . It was the perfect girls get away.

We booked to the house for 10 to us to celebrate two 40th birthdays and of course PV Pride. Our group could not have been happier with the house and location. So close to the beach and an easy walk to Old Town. Bedrooms were great and each had their own bathroom, with great water pressure! The best part of the house is the pool area! Patricia (housekeeper) and Ivan (maintenance/errands) were incredible and super sweet. Patricia made us a delicious breakfast one of the days. Communication with Mark was excellent. Very responsive and thorough. It was great being able to request in advance to have the house stocked with items prior to our arrival. We will definitely plan to stay at Casa Ladera again!

Aside from the vicious attack chihuahua Toby (who mysteriously stops barking and becomes very cuddly if you pet him), one couldn't ask for a more perfect home to engage in some serious relaxation. Outdoor lounges abound, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen enormous and the living room is a perfect siesta location. Ceiling fans move the air around quite efficiently in the common areas, and even when the humidity hit they still remained very comfortable. And your own private heated pool? Bueno. The bedroom ac's work great, and can really cool the rooms down despite the traditional open air windows throughout. For us, it was not a problem, but the open air windows do not afford a lot of privacy in terms of sound and/or noise, so you may want to consider that if your group is... boisterous. Other than that, there are literally no cons. One of my companions complained about the steep hill that gets you to the location and I suppose you could take a cab like she did, but I enjoy the winding streets and hills, as it's all part of the Romantic Zone's charm which this home exudes. If you want flat roads and American style accommodations, go to the resort area with the other boring people! Finally, be sure to treat yourself to Patricia's cooking at least once, it really is delicious!

This was our seventh straight year at Casa Ladera, and it hasn't disappointed yet! The open air concept and close proximity to beach create a wonderful atmosphere at Ladera.

Casa Ladera was truly amazing. We were a group of 6; two couples, and two singles. The 4 bedrooms were all perfect. All had king beds, but we had the option to split them into two single beds if we wanted. All had their own en-suite bathrooms. All had their own air conditioning units. There was also a full bathroom in the common space. Daily maid service was timely and top-notch. The pool was great, and parts had sun almost all day. We spent the majority of the time outside, and there was good flow throughout the place. The photos do not do this place justice. We come to Puerto Vallarta as a group every year (6-10 people), and have always stayed at similar homes. We opted for daily meal service (two meals per day) at a cost. It was amazing and rivaled the food and service at any of the other places. The staff was very accommodating with times and meals. We also opted for pre-stocking, again at a price, which was reasonable and done exactly to our requests. Location cannot be beat. It is a short walk and back to Los Muertos Beach (Blue/Green Chairs) and the casa's entrance is essentially across the street from the Almar resort, where enjoyed a cocktail at their rooftop bar. It is also a short distance from grocery stores, pharmacy, ATM, and other standard amenities. The hosts were easy to reach and very communicative. They were great! This was our favorite place to stay in PV, and we will be back.

Casa Ladera is a gorgeous property--we highly recommend it for families or groups. Four large, ensuite bathrooms w/AC, each opening onto the enormous terrace thoughtfully appointed with comfy lounges, cozy palapa-roofed tables, beautiful trees, flowering plants, and gorgeous heated pool, all overlooking Banderas Bay and the heart of Old Town PV.The interior is just as lovely; spacious and clean, with large kitchen, dining and living areas, all tastefully appointed with lovely furnishings and décor making CL both charming and elegant. Best of all, and something we've never experienced in our many years of renting in Mexico, was the personal greeting and attention given by Mark, the owner. From booking us one of the last private boat tours available, to helping arrange transportation and reservations, recommending restaurants and tours,to stocking our kitchen before our arrival and arranging for guacamole, chips and margaritas ready for us on arrival, even offering us all sweaters on the one chilly day we encountered. Villa caretakers, Patricia and Ivan provided impeccable daily cleaning service, and also cooked us several fantastic gourmet meals--not to be missed!:D Did I mention the location?! CL has the best location in Old Town/Romantic Zone PV for being steps away from the beaches, pier, shopping and restaurants--we never had to take a taxi anywhere, and it was wonderful to be within a short walk back to our oasis of a villa. Casa Ladera is a gem of a property, it's owners kind, attentive and thoughtful, and its location impossible to beat; we feel so fortunate to have discovered it! Huge thanks to Mark, Keith, Paty, Jesus and Ivan! We had the best time ever!!

Had a fantastic experience at Casa Ladera celebrating a birthday with 10 friends. The house is well-taken care of, clean, comfortable, in a great location, and boasts some really nice people, from the owners to the staff. Days were on spent the beach, but we used the pool every evening. Make sure and have the staff cook you a meal early on (you'll want to repeat the experience more than once).

We had a fantastic time at Casa Ladera. Patti, Ivan, and the entire staff were absolutely fantastic. The owner - Mark - is incredibly responsive and very helpful. I chose this property due to its authentic Mexican architecture and locale within Zona Romantica. It did not disappoint. We will be back next year, and the year after that, and so forth. I really can't imagine staying anywhere else in PV.

This home was perfectly located to be able to walk to the beach and all the great restaurants and nightlife that PV has to offer! I traveled with 3 other single people, and this house has the perfect layout for privacy. The staff were fantastic, and always made you feel welcomed and at home. The owner, Mark, went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure we had the best time while we were staying at his property. That went a long way with all of us, and I would stay here (or at any his properties) again!

Our group had a fantastic time at Casa Ladera. Through the process, Mark was patient and prompt in answering all of my questions. Transportation was arranged for our convenience and we had a warm greeting by our hosts upon arrival. It couldn’t have been easier with several meals prepped by fantastic Patti and Ivan. Everyone was so kind. The property itself is plenty spacious and beautiful. The villa has a ton of authentic mexican flair and really added to our experience. It is quite charming. We were all very comfortable with the A/C in every room and the open air floor plan of the place. Very convenient location, we walked almost everywhere. I could not have asked for anything more. Hope to visit again and highly recommend!

Spent 5 days in this villa....wish it was 5 years! Everything you could need is here. Close to all the restaurants and night life in the Romantic Zone. Walk down the hill to pick up some supplies at the local bodega, or walk to the many restaurants in the area. We have been to P.V. many times...we don't do many of the "tourist" activities..so we spent several days just hanging at the pool. Patricia cooked us breakfast...highly recommend taking advantage of her skills! Ivan ran to the pharmacy for us twice to pick up medicine for a member of our party. Mark and Keith and Toby the chihuahua have provided all you could possibly need or want. Looking forward to enjoying this villa again!

Everyone has thier own idea of what perfect is, and... Casa Ladera is my perfect vacation spot! This was our 6th year staying at the property and it gets better everytime. Thank you, Mark, Keith, Patty and Iban!

8 of us travelled to PV the end of January for our annual trip. We have stayed at many other villas, casas, and condos. Casa Ladera is at he top of the list. The property is well cared for and very comfortable. It was spacious, well-equipped and decorated nicely. The location is great, being a short distance to the beach and close to all the action of Viejo Vallarta. Most of the time, we walked to where we wanted to go, but if we didn't want to walk, there is always a cab right out the door. Mark and Keith were great hosts. They pre-stocked some food and bar essentials so we could get on with our vacation upon arrival. The casa staff were wonderful. Patricia and Ivan took care of anything we needed. They even cooked for us early in the week...we were so impressed with the food that we had them do it again for a dinner party later in the week. We found ourselves hanging out at the casa more than the beach. This is a great place and we look forward to returning again soon. Thank you, Mark & Keith, for helping to make our vacation great!

Our group of 8 really enjoyed our stay at Casa Ladera. We spent a lot of our time in the several outdoor areas around the pool. I would highly recommend the Welcome Fiesta (the guacamole & pico de gallo were amazing!) and at least one meal prepared at the house (we had delicious chili rellenos). Overall, a great vacation experience. I'd definitely stay at Casa Ladera again!

We had the most amazing time here and have nothing but wonderful things to say about this villa and our trip. We were a group of 9 and stayed for a week just before christmas. The house was lovely, great rooms, great pool, great views, great location. We loved the staff- Patti and Ivan, and the five excellent meals they prepared for our group. The recommendations and support by the owners was fantastic. We hope to come back to this villa next year.

Casa Ladera was by far the best place our group had ever stayed at in Puerto Vallarta. We had four couples. No worries here about tripping over one another. The whole place is so open and spacious with a gorgeous view of the bay and PV. Like most places in PV, it is some walking and steps to town and beaches but so worth that minor inconvenience. Be sure to have the housekeeper make you a meal early on in your stay. Our group waited until the last night. She fixed so much of everything including freshly made margaritas to her mouthwatering dessert. We had so many leftovers and it was our last evening. Have a dinner early in the week for plenty of leftovers during your stay. You won't be disappointed with your meal. The owner is very friendly and accessible should you need anything. I highly recommend Cass Ladera!

This is our fourth year going to Puerto Vallarta and this is our favorite place to stay yet. We are definitely considering rebooking for next year and can't wait to go back.

I recently took my company of 14 on retreat to Casa Ladera and highly recommend it for business or personal travel. The property is beautiful with amazing ocean views, the large rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is beyond friendly. Plus, the location is perfect. A five minute walk takes you straight to the beach or into the thick of Zona Romantica. Owners Mark and Keith are extremely helpful. They converted single rooms into doubles to accommodate our large group, arranged transportation from the airport, and offered suggestions for nearby destinations and restaurants. We've been on several company retreats in the past and their assistance made this our easiest trip to plan by far. Ivan and Juanita, the groundskeeper and housekeeper at Ladera, are perhaps the highlight of the whole experience. They are both so friendly and fun to talk to. Do not pass up the chance to have them make a meal for your group at the house. Juanita's dishes are delicious and outdo any restaurant you'll find in town. We had a great time and will definitely be returning to Casa Ladera!

What a beautiful place, we had a fantastic time at Casa Ladera. We had 9 family members with ages ranging from 10 to 74. The house was perfect. There was enough privacy in the bedrooms for the two couples. Everyone enjoyed the open living / dining rooms and the kids loved the pool. The house is close to the beach and to town, very convenient. As much as we loved the house we absolutely adored the staff. We decided against restaurants, with that many people just making a decision on where to eat could be debilitating. So as recommended by Mark we hired Juanita and Ivan to prepare our breakfast and dinner. It was amazing, the food was fantastic. We are picky - typically healthy eaters. We did menus each day for the next. They went shopping, everything was fresh. They made great breakfasts, even arriving early to accommodate our schedule. They grilled chicken, beef and fresh fish, with vegetables, salads and great deserts. We mentioned that we loved cevache and the next day they prepared not one but three types of shrimp / octopus cevache along with some of the most fresh and delicious tuna sashimi I have ever had. Wow!! Quality food and wonderful service. Juanita and Ivan are amazing. Hiring the staff to cook is great option you may want to consider.

It is the BEST! I have been spoiled! Mark is the most wonderful host at making you feel at home with no worries about anything. We enjoyed the convience, and the excellent location. Prepare your self to gain some weight because of all the great reasturants. The worst I can say is that if you do not go, you are missing out on a great experiencing. Pamper your self. (BTY, excellent wireless!)

I stayed at Casa Ladera with a few friends and my partner in January and had a great time. I have been to Puerto Vallarta numerous times and chose this place for its location and size. We needed a place that could comfortably accomodate 6 individuals and have 4 separate bedrooms. Also, I wanted a location that was just a few minutes from the beach, and Casa Ladera is only about a 5-7 min downhill walk. Upon arrival, we were given the villa and I was pleasantly surprised at the layout and how much outdoor space there was. There must have been at least 4-5 different outdoor sitting areas and a huge outdoor palapa with seating for at least 8 people. There was a comfortable lounge/bench area right next to the pool. In addition, it was nice to have a huge wall right behind the lounge/bench for privacy. The bedrooms were a nice size and bathrooms were pretty big for PV standards. Also, there is 5th bathroom that is perfect if you are using the pool but have to quickly go to the bathroom. My favorite part was the living room area. There was enough space to sit and chat and we definitely used this area a lot. Mark was very accomodating and quick to respond to our needs whether by phone or email. In addition, the housekeeping was very cordial and responsive. Casa Ladera was kept very clean throughout the whole time we were there. If there is only one critique that I can think of, it was the bed. The bed was very firm; however, after a day or two, I didn't even notice the firmness of the beds. We mentioned this to Mark during our stay, and he was very quick to respond that they are in process of upgrading the beds. All in all, we had a great time and I would definitely return.

A group of 11 descended on Casa Ladera for our annual PV vaction. We rented the entire Casa and two of the studios for 10 days. The place is immaculate. Clean as a whistle, beautiful linens and towels, everything you need for dining and entertaining. The beds are firm - perfect for some, not for others! The furniture, furnishings and decorations are beautiful. There are air conditioners in each bedroom but the ceiling fans are probably all that you need for comfortable naps or sleeping at night. The options for being alone or with the gang are seemingly unlimited. The pool is heated for enjoyment day or night. The views are wonderful. The house is extremely private and secure. The staff (Juanita and Ivan) are hard-working and dedicated to your comfort and relaxation. Definitely ask Juanita to cook a breakfast or two for you while you are there. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were pampered and spoiled. This is the finest vacation rental I have stayed at in my 11 trips to PV! Keep up the great work!

[posted on behalf of my mom who doesn't use Facebook] We rented this property to spend a week with our children and teenaged grand-children. Everyone had a great time. Our arrival was welcomed . When we ringed the bell at the gate, Juanita and Ivan came down to carry our luggage up the stairs. She was the maid and the cook and he was her help. Hugo grom the rental agency was there too to check the contract and give us the keys. We practiced the viewing of the caller on the screen before opening the gate. Everything was clean and ready. Juanity right away changed the bedding to separate the children beds.The water in the pool was warm and the plants were green. The trees a bit dry. When you reach the house floor, you get a feeling of opening and space thanks to the wide terrace surrounding the house on three sides. And nothing on stilts! The view to the ocean is partially obstructed by buildings, but none are too close for confort. We heard some construction work some mornings. At night it was quiet. The 4 bedrooms are nice and give on the terrace, with individual locks. They were refreshed everyday. We chose to eat on the terrace and had good meals served by Juanita. After breakfast some us walked to the beach and some walked downtown. There are many steps going straight to the beach, so we rather followed the road. We rarely used taxis, mainly at night. I would recommend this property to friends and family who want to enjoy the beach and the town while keeping their individual freedom.
