Aardige gastvrouw. Schone, ruime en rustige ( basic) kamer. We konden al om 14 uur terecht. Snelle communicatie. Op loopafstand 20 min van het centrum.

De reviews zijn een beetje misleidend in mijn optiek, veel te positief! Het guesthouse is gelegen in een zg. achterstandswijk. Kamers achter het huis in een bijgebouwtje. De kamer stond als luxueus vermeld. (?). Ik heb dat niet zo ervaren, heel basic.. Gratis koffie en thee: er was slechts 1 theezakje, paar cupjes maar geen werkend expressoapparaat! Geen flesje water oid. Koelkast stond nog uit. Het was er koud. Wel schoon. 2 inmiddels zeer dunne verwassen handdoeken. Er was op donderdagmiddag half 3 geen parkeerplaats in de straat. De rest van de wijk was voor ons sowieso geen optie. Verwaarloosde aftandse auto's. We mochten van de gastvrouw tot 19uur voor de deur staan daarna kwam haar man thuis en moesten we weg, maar dan zou er plek genoeg zijn. We hebben de auto in de parkeergarage gezet( €20) omdat we de wijk absoluut niet oké vonden voor onze volgepakte minibus. Toen we namelijk om 18.30hrs terugkwamen bekogelde een zeer agressieve man met flessen een kind.! Glas spatte i.h. rond. 2 jongens stonden naast het guesthouse duidelijk gestolen spullen te verdelen en provoceerden ons toen we langs liepen. Er was overigens op dat moment ook geen enkele plek vrij in de straat, maar wij zagen het inmiddels niet meer zitten en zijn naar parkeergarage gereden. Het zijn momentopnames, maar het geheel viel ons tegen helaas en is niet voor herhaling vatbaar helaas.

Petit déjeuner bon mais succin pour le prix !

We had a really nice overnight stay en route from Southern France to the UK. Communication with host about our late arrival time was excellent. What's so nice about the Sherpa Guest House is the personal Himalayan touch that permeates it. It feels like staying with a family rather than staying in a hotel. We did not take the breakfast but got pastries and quiches from the truly excellent boulangerie nearby.

If you want to sightsee in Reims by walking from here be aware that it is a bit of a distance to the cathedral. It's perfectly fine if you are a regular walker tourist, but it may be too distant for some. We did it, even though it was a very hot day. Tip: the tunnel under the railtracks in the train station is a shortcut. The public walk-on fountains on the other side are great for cooling down, and make for a great playground for little kids.

The owners did everything in their power to make our stay amazing. In the morning we had breakfast on the terrace and everything was amazing.

We got there really late and we had trouble finding a parking spot, but we got there in the end. And could have been just the late hour. Other than that, all was perfect
