Friendly staff and excellent location

There’s no reception, it’s above a pub. There was loud music playing all day until 1am.

The location was perfect, right in the middle of the town. I would say that if you are staying at the weekend and want somewhere quite then don't book this hotel, its very lively. If you check in late then be advised you need to check in at the Bar downstairs, which again is very lively at the weekend, its not the easiest to find, older people might find it too loud. Room was lovely, comfy and clean, staff were nice and breakfast was good.

The air-con did not work in either room. Drains smell in one room overnight.

We didn’t like that there was no real assistance at check in. You check in at a noisy, busy bar / cafe and are left to carry your own luggage up 3 flights of spiral stairs. Very steep. No service on day 2. The bathroom has no real shower, just a bathtub with hand held shower. Less that we expected. We were on the top floor / attic which is seriously challenged for space.

Arriving to a noisy bar that didn’t feel anything like a hotel. Bit disconcerting.

Great location on Place des Heroes. Bedroom has views over the square and the bathroom is large and has access to the completely private roof terrace. A/C, fridge, kettle and good wifi. 24hr access through the bar/cafe on the square, which is open from breakfast till late, with friendly staff. Public underground parking available in Grand Place which is a 2 minute walk. Its on the 3rd floor and there's a low ceiling between the 2 rooms so if mobility is an issue then the rooms on floors 1 or 2 might be better.

Very comfortable and nicely decorated room. The bathroom is spacious and was spotlessy clean. The bed is very comfortable and the airconditioning was perfect on this hot summers day. Their was a big feast on the square, which I was unaware of when I made the booking, but the noise was minimal in the room. My room was at the back. Parking in the garage at the main square was easy and very close by.

Lots of narrow steep stairs so taking luggage is difficult. Rooms are over a bar which is open until 2 am.

important to share that despite the description on booking.com, this is not a hotel it is a B&B above a brasserie. It also took a bit of finding but once we did its actually a lovely place to stay. It is located on a pedestrianised square but there is a big public carpark in the larger square just round the corner. The rooms are accessed through a door at the back of the brasserie and are up quite a lot of stairs but when you get there, they are lovely. Very spacious, immaculately clean and comfy large bed. Conveniently located for lots of restaurants and bars but quiet once in the room.

description on booking.com made us think we were booking a hotel with a carpark and restaurant so were a little surprised when we arrived but outside of that, very happy

Staff did not informed about some limitations on parking locations dur to Saturday's market...consequences...our car was removed by police with consequential very expensive and massive time loss for getting it back. Really a pity.

It was hard to find. Not made clear you had to go in the pub and ask, there was no hotel sign at all.

superb location on the square. perfect for restaurants and bars. staff were helpful. good value overall. breakfast was good.

check-in in the bar and rooms directly above. I knew it would be noisy overlooking the square, so had to keep windows closed and use AC. a real shame as we like fresh air.

I ordered a room and asked if it was ok to bring my dog. I didn’t receive a reply so assumed it must be be ok. On arrival luckily we were allowed to stay but next morning the staff seemed very unhappy to see the dog. She is a quiet, well behaved spaniel.
