The property was just as advertised. We were amazed how clean it was when we arrived. Every room in the house was great. We especially enjoyed our evenings on the porch. Even though it was chilly outside, the porch was still very comfortable. Maybe could do a little better on the landscaping outside, but this did not affect our stay at all. We are all hoping we are able to work out a return trip next year.

We had a wonderful reunion of friends at this property. The house was exactly as described and was more than accommodating. The views of the lake were beautiful, we only wished we had brought our fishing poles! Such an amazing space to share love and laughter, highly recommend!

If you want to have quite and peaceful gateway this is the one!

This property was beyond perfect for our group! Plenty of room for large groups. The views were beautiful for early fall season. Easy access to trails for riding with short distance to local bars and stores for supplies. We will definitely be back!

We were and still are in awe with our stay at your property a few weeks ago. The home was fully equipped with everything imaginable to make our stay convenient and relaxing. The kids really enjoyed the kayaks, water boards, games, etc. There was no need to go into Hayward, WI to be entertained. Pinecone Lodge…we highly recommend your property for others to enjoy as much as we did. Thank you!

This property was fantastic. Everything you look for in an vacation space! Lots of shared common space, extra coffee makers, dishwashers, fridges, freezers, and more. Couldn't have asked for a better trip spot!

We had 17 in our group and never worried about space. Beautiful property, wonderful amenities, and the doubled up appliances worked wonders! Loved it.

This is a great cabin if you are looking for a comfortable place to house large groups. The bedrooms are all comfortable and private, allowing for almost all guests in our group to have their own room. Firewood is not provided, so stop at the local gas station to pick some up. The check-out responsibilities are a lot, especially having paid a hefty cleaning fee already.

This cabin was one of the nicest VRBOs I've stayed in ever. There was plenty of space for our group of 15 adults, beautiful well-maintained cabin with everything we needed. The cabin was well thought out, the space was better than we could have imagined. We especially appreciated the two dishwashers two refrigerators and two oven ranges so that we could cook big meals for the whole group. It was winter so we didn't do any boating activities, however we did use the frozen lake to play kube, and to take walks. We will definitely be back here again.

This property boasts sprawling bedrooms that are clean and generously sized, on a beautiful cabin-ed lake. We all agreed we would love to return. It was my first group rental situation where there was more than enough fridge space (3 fridges, 3 freezers). We stayed off-season, and agreed the summer rate may just be worth it if the swimming is any good!

Property was amazing! Clean, very nicely decorated, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of space. We were very happy with our stay!

The house was perfect for our large group of snowmobilers. Beautiful home, comfortable beds, and it included all the kitchen essentials. The side porch was very convenient for our gear. We would most definitely stay here again. The only inconvenience was having to bring towels.

This place was awesome! A little strange to not have towels on hand, but the cabin and property were excellent!

The space worked wonderfully for our large group. The double kitchen, ample sleeping and outdoor space made it easy. We will be back!

This property was just perfect for our gathering. Six siblings and spouses. The lodge was spotless, very well appointed and warm and inviting. We would definitely stay there again if given a choice. It's has a beautiful lakeview, nice firepit and plenty of lawn for yard games. It was a little to cool and late in the season to enjoy the water. It worked well for our family!

This house was so wonderful for our large family get-together. Lots of rooms, and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. We loved the double oven and multiple refrigerators since we did a potluck one night. It was cold and snowy the weekend we visited, and was made better by the fireplace, but also the outdoor firepit as some in our group played outside. Finding a place to accommodate our big group can be hard but this was perfect! We hope to come back when the weather is a bit nicer to enjoy the lake.

Excellent house and location!! We had a small family reunion with lots of fun spaces to hang out and relax. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make large meals. Great Lake front, views and fire pit.

This property has to be the best VRBO I have rented- new remodel, new comfortable furniture- great set up. The only glitch is there are no bath towels- they told us this in the instructions email, but a few of our guys missed the details- BYOT!

Sand Lake was the perfect lake for our family. Clean water to swim and tube. Fishing was ok. Always hard when you don’t know the lake. Rec room in garage was great for the late nighters of the group and when it rained. We were very fortunate for beautiful weather for the most part.

This property was represented well online and delivered on everything we hoped the experience would give us. The multiple living spaces is great so guests have flexibility on where to relax without feeling crowded. Yes this house was over our initial budget, especially given that there was only 5 of us, but we were so glad we selected this property given how nice it was and how well everything was thought through by the host to ensure guests enjoyed their getaway.

We've done VRBO rentals in the Hayward WI area for years and have been in several different places. This is the first time we discussed coming back to this same lodge/cabin/house. It is very well set up for people renting the house for a week or more. The lodge is in an easily accessible area and in a nice cove/bay of Sand Lake. It is several steps down to the lake from the lodge so you have to watch the little ones and the stairs were too hard for the oldest. The dock could be a little better, not terribly sturdy and too low in the lake. We always bring in a large pontoon boat and had to be extra careful tying it up to the dock. The lodge itself has many bedrooms, enough bathrooms, several places for large groups to gather both inside and outside. There are multiple cooking places including multiple ranges and gas grills as well as an upstairs coffee bar. Perhaps a little lacking in counter space, but we get why and worked around it easily enough. The use of digital locks on the main doors and bedroom doors is great and makes it easy to come and go. All the finishes are nice, durable and done well.

The house looks even better in person! It's a beautiful home with lots of space. Worked out great for our extended family gathering. The kids loved the swing set and toys the house provided. All the beds were comfortable. High end appliances and furniture. Plenty of dishes. The large three season porch would be so lovely in warmer weather!

What a wonderful retreat! This is one of the nicest homes I have ever stayed in. From the road, it looks normal sized, but inside it is huge. There was plenty of space for 10 women to have a fabulous girls weekend. We each could have our own bed! There were plenty of bathrooms. The remodel on this home is exceptional. The finishes are gorgeous. I only wish we could have stayed longer. There was plenty of space for us to gather in the living room, all sit in the dining area together, or hang out in the kitchen. With 2 fridges in the kitchen and 2 more in the entry, we had plenty of space. Most everything we needed for the weekend was there (except bath towels, which they told us about). Since we were there in early April, we did not get to enjoy the outdoor spaces. The outer, enclosed porch was amazing though. It was too cold to sit out there, but we wished we could have. The response time and service from the management company was wonderful. They were accommodating and responsive. Our only wish for the owners was that they would have before pictures of the home. It would be fun to see how it looked before the remodel and to know some history. There were some vintage player piano rolls in a cabinet we wish we could have played, but there was no player piano. That would have been fun. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

We had 18 people ranging from 18-73. We were celebrating our step-son's 50 birthday. This home was amazing. The quality of the property, appliances, furnishings, everything was very high-end. Each of the bedrooms were very comfortable. Bathrooms were top knotch. We were there in mid March, I can imagine what it would be in the summer! Usually pictures tend to oversell a property, but the current pictures definitely don't show how beautiful this home really is. We will definitely try to reserve this home again.
