Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in dieser einzigartigen Höhlen-Unterkunft. Den anderen Bewertungen kann man sich nur anschließen: Natur pur, absolute Ruhe & Abgeschiedenheit, schöne Sonnenaufgänge auf 1.100m Höhe. Die Unterkunft ist nur mit einem Mietwagen zu erreichen und wir waren froh für den Weg einen Mini-SUV gehabt zu haben. Es geht über schmale, holprige Feldwege und enge Kurven teils steil bergauf und -ab. Bei unserer Ankunft auf Teneriffa wurden wir von unserer herzlichen Gastgeberin aus dem Ort zur Unterkunft begleitet, was sehr hilfreich war, denn Google Maps sollte man nicht blind vertrauen. Die Straße soll 2025 erneuert werden. Dennoch lohnt sich die Fahrt allemal, denn die Unterkunft ist einmalig. Einfach, authentisch, aber die Ausstattung ist bestens. Die Bilder stellen die Höhle dar, wie sie ist. In der Küche haben wir beim abendlichen Kochen nichts vermisst. Auf dem Sofa machten wir es uns bei Kaminfeuer gemütlich. Draußen fanden wir verschiedene Plätze um die Sonne zu genießen oder nach Sternschnuppen Ausschau halten. Das Klima in den Räumen ist angenehm, weder muffig noch feucht. Der Strom stammt aus Sonnen- & Windenergie, das Wasser wird vom Durchlauferhitzer erwärmt. Die Gastgeberin bot uns bei Ankunft die Möglichkeit Wasser, Pasta, Wein & Bier etc. an der Unterkunft zu kaufen. Ebenso gibt Kaffee, frische Eier und Gemüse vom eigenen Feld. Käse & Wurst aus eigener Produktion wird ebenso angeboten, wir können nur empfehlen es zu probieren! Immer wieder wurden wir mit Leckereien überrascht. Vielen Dank, dass wir sieben herrliche, erholsame Tage in dieser tollen Unterkunft genießen durften.

Si pudiera poner 10 estrellas las pondría. Tanto Yoli como su pareja, como todos los contactos que tuvimos. Fue maravilloso el trato la cercanía, muchas gracias por hacernos sentir que teníamos una casa en Tenerife.

Was greeted by the super friendly fellow Aussie Blair , who met us outside the property to show us around. I loved the blackboard in the kitchen that has info on local takeaways and food/ restaurants in the area . This property is in close proximity to the famous Edde Sands Beach and bars . Also minutes drive from the old souk in Byblos which is also the home of the Wax Museum . The property has gusto and feels like Home, spacious and great for families as there’s 2 bedrooms and three toilets . Kitchen with a great view for us who cook with a glass or two! Plenty of comfortable sitting space . On Sunday you may hear the chimes of the church bells next door ❤️

The pillows are not comfortable and the showers need to be renewed. The water pressure also needs to be fixed.

Absolutely a great place to stay, especially with children. This is what sustainable accommodation means. Doesn't get any quieter than this. Feels remote, but 10 min to town and 20 min from highway. Road isn't that bad. Lovely host, that allowed us to collect fresh eggs. Very tidy and cozy living room with a fireplace. Stunning sunrises above clouds.

At first we were a bit shocked how far away it was, but when we got used to the complete privacy, silence and the view, we didn’t want to leave. It is a great experience and we would go back there. Enjoyed the fireplace in the evening and everything inside is very cozy and nicely decorated. We have rented very different accommodations in Tenerife, but never a cave house before, happy that we tried. We were greeted with wine and some eco products, that was very nice surprise! Hostess is always available by message, answering wright away.

The road is a bit annoying, but you have to get up there somehow, so it is something to get used to. Get more groceries to avoid driving up and down! During our stay there was a lot of windy days, but that’s not property’s fault. And evenings are chilly, but it’s normal for that altitude. These minuses are not dealbreakers.

Very cute and cosy apartment in the middle of the mountains. Superb view, tranquillity and nice hikes in the area. The very kind host left us some local produce like eggs, potatoes and manyn other ingredients for a first great dinner at home. Perfect place if you are looking to be surrounded by nature and disconnect from the busy touristic places!

The road to get to the house is a little rough. It takes about 15/20 minutes to get to the highway. The tranquillity and peace of the place is surely worth all of the above!

Our host, Yoli was the best we could ever hope for. She thought of every tiny detail! We went with our baby and she went out of her way to provide us with a baby bath, a cot, toys and a potty. Other amazing details included a basket of local produce and home made wine when we arrived. The views were absolutely incredible and felt really special and magical!
