The working area is truly intended for work. Nice atmosphere, comfortable, quiet. I also loved the built-in tables on the beds.

I’m cheering for an electric kettle when I come next, so that one doesn’t have to boil a pasta pot every time they want a tea. 😊

Comfortable stay in nice artsy neighbourhood, with lots of great restaurants in close walking distance. The room we stayed in was nice and spacious with a desk and comfortable beds. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, with everything we needed for the 5 days we were there. The hostel is also a co-working space, so is very quiet.

I like the atmosphere, it was very relaxed and calm. Just perfect if you need a lot of sleep after a long flight :)

There was a snafu with my booking but it wasn't due to anything that Play House could have prevented. It was an oversight on Booking.com's part. Anyway, the staff at Play House, especially Jessica, went over and above to fix the situation and to make sure that I was very well cared for. This was my second time staying at this particular proberty and I had a great experience both times. I highly recommend the Play House as a lodging option if you plan to be in the area.

I really can't think of anything that I didn't like. the staff was friendly and kind, the rooms are nice, what's not to like? Make the Play House your house on your next trip to Quito! Viva la Play House!

There’s a small cafe just across the street called Velez Cafe. Great place for coffee and sandwiches. The whew from my room, on the terrace, is excellent! The staff too was very cordial and attentive. Every time I had a question about anything they were extremely quick to respond. A great experience I had here.

It’s a little bit noisy at times but I’m an old guy and this is more of a place for younger people. It didn’t bother me so much but if you’re a light sleeper then you might not enjoy the sounds so well. But hey, live and let live! It wasn’t so much that I disliked the sounds but more like a caveat emptor (buyer beware) if you’re planning to stay here. 😉
