Our family of 21 thoroughly enjoyed our annual winter weekend get away here at the Lighthouse. The view was so gorgeous. Every window was either cozy forest or water as far as the eye can see. The fresh snow and ice formations on the shore made it especially magical. We were especially appreciative of the well stocked kitchen and labeled cupboards. It made our mealtimes so much smoother than our many previous house rentals. We’re a big family and we certainly like to banter more than we agree but we he NOTHING to complain about here at The Light House. Looking forward to next year!

The house had a layout and plenty of amenities for a large group, several families, and a variety of ages.

Excellent property for large multigenerational family gathering. Very flexible with check in. Property and kitchen were very well equipped. Only missing kitchen towels (only one provided) and dishwasher soap (none provided for 2 dishwashers). Easy to contact property manager with any questions. Did have issue with septic alarm but was able to resolve after talking with property manager. Otherwise excellent experience. Would re-book 100%.

Clean and very spacious with lots of activities all around Door County.

We had an absolutely wonderful four nights at The Lighthouse. It is a big, beautiful house right on the water that feels remote and private. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and the owners very responsive to any questions we had. Our kids and niece and nephew loved the place and especially the game rooms. If you are looking for a large spot to get together with friends and family in Door County this is a fantastic choice and we will look to stay here again.

The setting of this home is perfect if you want to be away from it all and up close to the water! And to top it off the home is gorgeous inside as well, with so many things to do on site, that everyone was happy! So much space and very comfortable. We plan to go back again next year! Thank you!

We truly enjoyed our family vacation - there was something for everyone! We had a wide variety of ages but found there was so much that brought us all together - kayaking, picking up rocks to sort and stack, stories around the campfire, and lots of pool for all ages! Plenty of room for all, each family group stayed on a different level, so had a sense of privacy even with lots of people. There was lots to do nearby too - Algoma was a wonderful place for fishing and shopping. In fact, we all thought that we should have skipped the long drive to Washington Island and just stayed nearby. Went to fish boil and exploring in Fish Creek, and visited several state and county parks. Views from house were amazing. Perfect family vacation, thank you!

We had an amazing 3 night stay at this house that has it all. We are a multigenerational family (age range of 18 months to 70's) that loves being together and we had a great time at this huge house with many activities. We enjoyed kayaking, having a fire at night, going into Algoma, playing in the water, bird watching, watching movies on the big screen in the downstairs living room, doing art projects and playing games in the game room. The kitchen is large enough for our teams of 8 family members each to cook and clean up each night. Emily, the manager, was extremely responsive when we had a couple of minor maintenance issues. She immediately sent out Jay, the great maintenance person to fix the problems. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

A really great place for a large group - so many activities to keep all entertained!

Our time at the Lighthouse was a chance to give our kids the Door County experience we had as children. It checked all the boxes: waterfront property, seclusion, boats, bikes, and tons of other activities. The Lighthouse had it all. And it was close enough to still do all of our favorite Door County activities. On our last day we picked cherries just up the road and had fresh cherry pie with our brats and Baumeister sodas. We couldn't have asked for a better week. Thanks so much Emily!

Beautiful house with everything you need for cooking and entertainment. Comfortable beds and plenty of space for people to have privacy. Highly recommend this place for your family gathering.

This was our second time holding a training session/team building event here. Plenty of room for preparing meals, relaxing between sessions, and just enjoying ourselves.

This house has so many options to entertain. We went up with a group of friends and never left the house. Indoor and outdoor activities are plentiful. Checkin was a breeze and the house had everything we needed.

We stayed for three nights and the weather was perfect. The house is uniquely designed with hand crafted wood and stone. Lots of room. It is an isolated location. The lake was wonderful. Could use some maintenance.

Property and manager were both fabulous! This stay brought so much joy to myself and my family. It is a private property, we did not see another single soul on the beach for miles during our week long stay. The basketball court/tennis court hosted family tournaments, fire pit with chairs encouraged relaxation and conversation! Kayaks provided were so nice and life jackets! There is so much provided to do in the property you do not have to leave. But if you need something from the store or want to do a wine tasting, get ice cream or shop it’s only a five minute drive away. They had mosquito squad spray so a week outside with no mosquito’s was magical. If you are unsure about booking this property do not hesitate to do so you will not be disappointed. Emily the property manager answered all my questions promptly and was a fabulous host. For a large group this is perfect! Loved every minute!

The house was very nice. Very large with a lot of stuff to do. The host made the visit very easy and was good with communication. There is plenty of accessories in the house. The lake is great.

No complaints…literally!! Host was friendly and helpful. Stayed for my son’s wedding and needed a venue for the rehearsal dinner. Emily didn’t just recommend something, she called around and found place that was not booked. Sent us all the information and we booked with Sonny’s Pizzeria who also was awesome to work with!! Everything was so nice and looked like the pictures! We stayed, relaxed, visited family, ate, drank, laughed, and had the best time!

This house was amazing. Beautiful setting overlooking the lake. Everything we needed and more. 15 of us and we each had our own bed. It was a perfect stay! Thank you so much for hosting us!!

The accommodations were beautiful and spacious. The view was absolutely stunning! Easily fit the 20+ people.

May very large family of 30 had a wonderful time playing games and spending Christmas all together! We have plenty of beds and lots of room for the kids to run and play. I would highly recommend visiting this place!

We were celebrating our family Christmas with 14 people total and the Lighthouse was simply amazing. From the spacious living areas and game rooms to the beautiful scenery we all really enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much!

What a great place. Right on Lake Michigan with spectacular sunrises. Lots to do inside and outside. Highy reccommneded.

It was an amazing place to stay. it had everything you could ask for and then more. Very comfortable and the view was spectacular. We would love to come back in the summer.

The house is lovely and has tons of space. Sleeping and space to move around. The downstairs game room was great for our unexpectedly rainy weekend. We would gladly return. Very clean and great views of the lake.

We just completed a one week stay at this beautiful Lighthouse home in Algoma/Door County area. We are a family of 24 ranging in age from 12 to 82 and this is our 22nd family trip. Everyone was impressed and really enjoyed it! We would definitely return! The home is modern, bright, and very clean. We loved the BIG windows that gave wonderful views of Lake Michigan. We saw several beautiful sunsets, along with the ever-changing moods of the lake . . . from beautiful calm waters to crashing waves. Several family members made use of the kayaks, along with the tennis courts, bikes, and other outdoor equipment that was provided. If cooking is part of your vacation plans, this house will make you very happy. The large kitchen has double ovens. 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, a large pantry and a completely stocked coffee bar! The lower, ground-level game and family room areas are great for fun-loving and/or late night family members. There is a pool table, ping-pong table, bar area, LARGE TV/video projection screen, along with multiple board games, playing cards, etc. (BONUS: As loud as some of the games got, sleeping family member on upper levels never heard a thing! Apparently, a very well-insulated/built home.) Some upgrades to the main entrance porch/deck would be very helpful for accessibility. Considering the great job they have done so far, I’m sure that’s on their to-do list. One of the little touches that we loved were all the painted rocks that were on view throughout the house. Paint supplies were provided and guests were encouraged to have fun and leave a memory rock! So we did . . .  

What an awesome place to stay for families. We had our multi-generational family stay here and had a fantastic time. After touring the areas during the day we kept busy at the home late afternoon/evenings. They had bikes, kayaks, court for playing basketball & tennis, and lots of games. The location couldn't be beat. We had the firepit going each evening with a fantastic view next to Lk Michigan. There were lots of chairs for everyone to sit outside and multiple grills. The place looked awesome and the kitchen was big enough to prepare meals for a large group. I'd highly recommend staying here!

First off, Emily is incredible From a customer service perspective, it doesn't get better than her - she was detailed, helpful, responsive, and timely every step of the way. The property accommodated a group of 20+ of us quite nicely; it has so much to offer that you don't even need to leave the premises to have fun. From entertainment & games indoors to everything you can door outdoors , we were super happy. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone (in fact, I already have). Look forward to my next stay with the team here!
