Breakfast was perfect. Really nice, local produce. The hosts were so helpful and gave us great advice on the local area which we took and had a great time. Very good B & B at a very reasonable price.

We didn’t have a view from our room window but it’s not what we were there for. The room was really nice.

Very comfortable room/bed. Great attention to detail. Excellent breakfast. Lovely, friendly, considerate hosts. Great value for money. Shower very controllable and always hot water 'on tap.' Security well thought out. Good balance between maintaining character of very old building and modern standards. Paid more than twice as much for a more upmarket hotel a month ago and the only difference was a slightly larger room!

Having to get up early for a conference - hosts more than happy to provide an early breakfast, though. The sea is a long way out from the promenade in Southport! Perhaps that will change with global warming!

Great location. Gary and Shirley our hosts made us feel most welcome. Excellent breakfast which set us up for the day.

We could have done with some Kendal Mint Cake as we had the room at the top and it felt as though we had climbed Scafell Pike 🤦😀

This was our 2nd stay here and we were not disappointed. Shirley and Gary are great hosts and made us very welcome. We had the full-English breakfast which was delicious with locally sourced produce but there were plenty of alternatives available to cater for all tastes and appetites! Le Maitre is ideally situated for shopping, bars and restaurants and only a short walk to the railway station. It was a lovely stay - thank you!

Staff very friendly and welcoming, family room large and comfortable, clean tidy rooms, suitcases kindly carried upstairs, will revisit.

Pre ordering breakfast isn't the end of the world, but hard to pick what you want to order the day before.

We stayed in a large, well decorated family room. The beds were very comfortable with nice linen and beautifully dressed sunlit windows. Our hosts, Shirley and Gary, were friendly and welcoming and we had a wonderful breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.
