The villa locates in building 18, midway. The unit is very clean, spacious and comes with basic necessities. The patio is a wrapped-around patio where you can see nothing but the ocean while the other sides you can see the houses of the Hamilton Cove as well as the ocean. The golf cart fits 6 people, which is perfect for us. Amber is extremely nice and responsive, from the time I made the booking to the time that I checked out. She gave clear instructions and made sure we had everything we needed. My family and I surely had a very relaxing time during our stay. Highly recommended and would come back again.

We were so pleased with this villa. The views and the deck are absolutely gorgeous. The Villa as well. We had a problem with the oven burning smoke when we tried to make pizza . We believe it was an error on the cleaning people who forgot to wipe down the oven after putting oven cleaner in. A few minor things but all in all a lovely experience. Be warned! It is about 100 steps down to the unit. Not an easy walk carrying luggage.

We had an absolutely amazing vacation on Catalina Island and this villa was perfect! There were four of us all together. The place was extremely clean, beds were SO comfy, space was plentiful and the view was breathtaking! Morning sunrises and clear starry skies overlooking the water will be something you will remember forever. It was great that there was a golf cart provided for us to make the quick drive into downtown Avalon. Hamilton Cove was a great, quiet location that felt secluded from the busyness of downtown but it was so nice that we could get there within a 10 minute drive. We would highly suggest taking the Food and Drink tour (we loved our guide, Janet). Would recommend coffee from the Brew House, lobster from the Lobster Trap, local chats and drinks and the Marlin Club, amazing Italian food from M Restaurant and the best ice cream from Sailor's. Thank you for the most memorable trip!!

Over all, this property was perfect! Check in was super smooth and the unit was super clean and fresh smelling and had every amenity imaginable. The unit was perfectly located between the upper and lower roads. There really wasn’t that many steps to climb at all compared to other units I’ve stayed in. There was just a couple of things that needed work that I think the owner should know about. There were a few blinds in the living room that needed repairing, you had to roll them up and then down in order for them to go up evenly. The batteries were dead in two of the tv remotes but I found some in the drawer and changed them, I’m glad there were extra. Also there was a couple of the lamps didn't work properly, it seemed as though the plugs themselves were a little loose and needed repair. There was one lamp that actually didn't work at all, It may have just been a dead bulb, if not the switch? We were excited to see snorkel gear in the closet. However, there was only gear for one person and only fins and a snorkel, no mask. it would have been great if there was gear for at least two people, so the kids wouldn't have had to share one set but we made it work and they had fun! The golf cart doesn't hold a lot of gas and you have to go to the other side of town to get gas so I had to make sure I filed up every night to be safe. Also, I noticed the cart is a little slower compared other carts on island and that was only with one adult and two children in it. It seemed like it

I was so happy to stay there and to have access to those views and that golf cart. I think it was just too expensive to ever do it again.

We felt that the Villa captured all view points of Avalon! From early morning to late at night, every change in the day/night was gorgeous! The Villa was spaceous, clean and had everything we needed and we are pretty high maintenance! The stairs to the Villa are something to keep in mind if you have any issues or injuries. The golf cart was awesome and gave us so much freedom. We saw several deer on the way to town and Vons on Sumner was so great to stock up with whatever you need. Overall, a wonderful getaway!

We love Hamilton Cove and have stayed there many summers. This was probably the cleanest unit we’ve stayed in and never had an ant issue unlike other properties there. Lots of stairs so be mindful of that when leaving with your luggage. Definitely easier going down then up! Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful, quite, views, golf cart

If you dream of just relaxing with your favorite drink in a comfortable chair, soaking in the sun, listening to the waves while watching the boats float by….this is the PERFECT location. The mostly private (we never saw a neighbor) wrap around, corner balcony was AMAZING! We were so comfortable it was hard to leave to visit Avalon. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. The beds, pillows and linens were all very high quality. The condo is spacious with views from every window. The golf cart was stylish, easy to drive/park and quiet. IF I had to say anything negative it would be the countless stairs BUT we knew about that and we got a great workout in. The condo is worth every step and more. I can’t say enough positive things about our stay. Our only regret was not booking it for a longer stay!

This property is incredible. The location and the views are priceless. All furnishings and appliances are top notch. The golf cart was such an amazing bonus and it hauled the 5 of us all around town with ease. The place is so beautiful you may not want to leave! Great communication from property manager and terrific instructions.

Our original trip to Mexico was cancelled so we booked this 2 nt stay within 5 days of traveling. The condo was georgeous, very nicely decorated, plush towels, tempur pedicure mattresses (even the pullout!). Awesome wrap-around porch - perfect for viewing the perfect weather! Biggest bummer was location…planted right in the middle of the hillside, so either a 12 floors down or 9 floors up. Not ideal for relaxing, but good to work off all the delicious food we ate! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great time! The place is nice and has a great view! The only hiccup was that check in at the gate took a little while because no one had put our name in beforehand so we had to wait there for a few minutes. Would stay again!

We loved our stay in Hamilton Cove! The views are incredible. The whole family enjoyed watching ships come in, seals swimming around, and just watching the waves. The house looks just like the photos, beds were comfy and there were lots of extra blankets! Great location and lots to do in the neighborhood - tennis, swimming, put put. The owner was very responsive to the few things we needed, and we would come back! Thank you!!

This property may well be the best rental we've stayed at. Everything was lovely. It's a long climb but delightful location, beautiful facility, totally comfortable. The golf cart worked perfectly and made the ride to town easy.

Overall the property was nice. However the tvs in the master bedroom are incredibly small and difficult to see. The towels were still drying when we arrived and we had to find and sort through them.

My husband and I along with another couple had an amazing stay. The villa is well appointed. Beds are extremely comfortable. Views so incredible that words are hard to find to describe. The boys spent their morning diving at Avalon Dive Park while the ladies couldn't peel themselves away from the patio and mimosas. Would absolutely recommend staying here. One thing to keep in mind, the villa is down quite a few staircases. But definitely worth the effort!

I was told before I paid for the property that there would be no problem checking in early if it was available. After I paid, the host said, if I wanted to check early, I could pay for an extra day. I thought that was very rude. in the master suite, the toilet seat was broken, we had to fix it with a butter knife. The hot water shower head is broken. The coffee pot was clogged and we had to take it apart and clean it. There was no coffee, no foil no plastic no bags no cookie sheets . The host was nice enough to have somebody bring us all those things, but it was on the second day, so a dollar short. When we got to Catalina, we asked the luggage company to bring our luggage down to our room. They said they were full when we left our room , we called the luggage company and asked them to come and pick up our bags and store them. They said they were full. Very scary and disappointing for spending so much money and having so many problems. The view was spectacular. Also, there were no utensils for the barbecue and nothing to clean it with, and we were told we had to leave it clean.

First time visit to Catalina. Wonderful property with terrific views.

We really enjoyed our stay. The ocean views were spectacular. The golf cart was nice to have. Be ready to walk some stairs to get to the villa. Not too bad, we were able to navigate the stairs. Would definitely stay again.

We stay at several VRBOs over the course of a year and this has to be on of the top of our list! Absolutely stunning views and beautifully decorated inside and out! The unit has everything you could need plus more. We can't recommend this place enough and the kindness and thoughtfulness of the owner made our stay even more special. We will definitely return to enjoy this utopic place again!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful villa with spectacular views, the beautiful open concept of the Villa, the location and privacy was spectacular. And a huge plus was having the six person golf cart… Along with Amber the host who was amazing… She answered all my calls and addressed all my concerns on the spot.… I have not rented many VRBO’s so this was a great experience having her readily available when we ran into small issues. Thank you Amber ! Once again the views cannot be beat from any other units in the complex they were just absolutely beautiful and spectacular. Randi

What a beautiful weekend at this hilltop home! We stayed here with our family the weekend of our wedding and it was such a relaxing and fun spot. Plenty of room for everyone and it was very clean. We saw some amazing sunsets and enjoyed time by the fire at night. I definitely recommend booking for special weekends. We saw the property manager when we were checking out and she was so sweet! This was a magical spot.

This unit has everything you’ll want out of a visit to Catalina. Views are incredible, golf cart is convenient (and 100% necessary!), and the space is wonderful. We’ll book for our next visit to Catalina!

Excellent view - best view in Hamilton Cove with the corner location

We have been coming to Catalina Island for 20 years. We have never stayed in Building 18. This property has beautiful views from the spacious wraparound balcony. We loved the new golf cart, though it is a bit slow. Other reviewers commented on that as well. The owner was kind enough to allow us the use the golf cart prior to our 3 o'clock check in. The unit is nicely decorated and appointed with Viking appliances. There are 80 steps to climb to get to get to the golf cart, which can be strenuous for some. The golf cart allows easy access to town for lunch, dinner, excursions and sight seeing.
