Home was awesome, stocked with high quality items to use in the kitchen, everything was as advertised. Had a small bed during the week with a power blip and the owner was immediately responding, quick to help, not enough good things to say! Will come back!!

We enjoyed our stay here as it accompanied all of us and the pool, hot tub and game room were such a hit! The house is beautiful but be able to do stairs. You won’t regret staying here.

My 3 grown children, their wives and the grandkids joined us for a great week! The house was perfect for everyone in the family! They really thought of everything-books for the kids, outside toys, pool, hot tub, even beach towels!! The large kitchen was perfect! Would love to go again!!

Location was great, it seemed like everything was close by, just a short walk to the beach, all kinds of food. The house was very nice, we had 11 people and had plenty of room, the kitchen was fantastic and we used it all but one night. The kids loved the pinball machine and air hockey. We try to have a family vacations like this every couple of years and this one did not disappoint. The house was very clean and orderly, very accommodating for our size group.

This house had everything we needed, even beach supplies!! There was plenty of space for everyone and so much to do. The house is right next to a bike lane that will take you to both the beach and the strand easily.

The house was gorgeous and had plenty of space for us to spread out. The house has so much to do when you’re not out on the island that you’ll never be bored. Pool, hot tub, air hockey, basketball and pinball. We had a blast and we loved the deco and the layout. A definite favorite for our family. The host was extremely helpful and friendly as well.

This home was exactly as described in the listing, plus so much more! The kitchen was stocked with family friendly plates and cups as well as the appliances are all higher end and clean. The home is packed with so much to do, our grandkids were happy to stay there and not leave. The communication with the owners was also very prompt and they provided us with everything we needed to make the check-in and check-out procedures simple and efficient. Would highly recommend this rental home to anyone!

From the keurig to the hot tub, everything was fantastic to use. The pinball machine was a joy for our family, and air hockey provided a fun experience for the kids in their downtime.

House was perfect. We had two full families and a dog. Plenty to do just relaxing at the house. The hosts were amazing and went well over and beyond on a request we had that wasn't necessary. Would come back to Galveston just to stay at the house. Love the game room, pool, hot tub, etc.

What a beautiful home with no detail missed! We were excited to get to swim and hang out in the awesome outdoor area but the weather had different plans. Even without the pool and spa, there was still something to do for everyone. We enjoyed several movies and popcorn in the downstairs movie room, we played lots of air hockey tournaments and we all gathered in my favorite room of the whole house, the kitchen. We are so appreciative that you share your gem of a home!!

We have stayed at 50+ VRBO homes from mountains to beaches & this was definitely the whole families favorite!! The house is beautiful and they think of everything. There were so many things for us to that we didn't even have enough time to do them all. The beds were super comfortable and the master bathroom was amazing. The pool the games the kitchen....EVERYTHING PERFECT! Can't wait to come back. Thank you for such a memorable experience for my family.

Really enjoyed the property and had a wonderful stay. Check in and check out were a breeze and the owners were very accommodating to a few requests we had for an earlier check in time so we could get our daughter down for her nap. Definitely recommend and would gladly stay here again!

Our group of 7 stayed and completely enjoyed spending time at this home. The amount of space is incredible. Everyone had their own space to enjoy, and the main living area and kitchen are large enough to have everyone gather without being crowded. The outdoor area had plenty of space and things to do. Owners were very helpful and responsive.

Short family trip reunion to our daughter's medical school, Class of 2010. As a 65 year old with two knee replacements, the numerous stairwells were a problem for me, but my grandson loved the air hockey and pinball. The pool was nice and he loved the basketball court. The hot tub appeared dirty when we arrived but cleared up on day 2. My daughter loved all of the beautiful beach towels provided. The kitchen was perfect. Used the washer/dryer a lot. House very close to our favorite restaurants; Mosquito, Sunshine Bakery and Original Mexican. But nextdoor neighbors and their chickens were unexpected...

I’ve actually never been excited to leave a review for a rental property, but I’ve definitely found an exception. This house is fantastic. The layout is perfect and so well thought-out. The first floor features a beautiful, large, and well-equipped kitchen, sitting area, and master bedroom. The bottom floor has the bunk room, queen-sized room, and game room (the pinball machine is freakin’ awesome and fun.) The top floor has the 2 beds and bedroom with the en-suite bedroom with a private balcony. I thought I’d list the layout, because I wasn’t sure how it was going to look from the pictures. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The hot tub was hot upon arrival and the pool was the perfect size (we lounged, sunned, and we’re able to play floating beer pong!) and temperature for a large group. Around this time of year, your sun by the pool will last until about 4pm. The house was CLEAN. I could tell by the smell when I walked in and I was proven correct. No leftover items were seen from previous guests on the floor, in the pantry, or in the bedrooms. It was noticeably and thoroughly cleaned. The beds were extremely comfortable. We slept well the entire stay. Laurie and Lloyd are so sweet and accommodating, and left birthday treats for my husband and dad from local La kings. I appreciated that they could be easily contacted, but they also weren’t constantly checking in on us and let us enjoy our time. I would absolutely love to stay here again and bring more family and friends to experience this wonderful home. Thanks again for the incredible stay, Mr. and Mrs. Rathburn!

We had a great time. The house was perfect for us. The kids loved the pool and game room. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Everything you need for a great vacation is included. We’ll definitely stay here again for our family vacation.

We were 10 adults, 2 children and a little doggie... totally pleased staying in this house. Amazing! it exceeded our expectations. Totally equipped. Everything is good quality, furniture, kitchen utensils, pillows, game machines... I loved the decoration. Every detail is well thought out. We had so much fun there and the location is ideally close to main attractions and to the beach. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. Thaaank you very much Lloyd!

Perfection doesn’t do justice for this home. It was more than I could’ve hoped for in every aspect. From start to finish The Rathburn’s were phenomenal to rent from. The communication and their availability to respond to questions, every detail of the home from decorations to amenities, and the memories we made during our wedding weekend were simply amazing! I/we didn’t want to leave and talked about making this an annual trip. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for EVERYTHING!

This house is absolutely beautiful!❤️ It definitely checks all the boxes. The decor is breathtaking, the beds are comfortable, the outdoor furniture is top-notch, and the pool was our favorite amenity. The homeowners spared no expense. House is close to pretty much everything...we loved this. The only negative things we have to say about this house are: 1) The neighborhood is quite a mixture of houses. 2) If you have older guests in your party, just know there are lots of steps. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Galveston.

This property is beautiful, clean, and close to everything you need! A group of parents and kids stayed here while in town for an event and this house was everything we needed! It was perfect!

We had a great time. The home has all the comforts you would need for a great stay. The home owner thought of everything and provided it in the home. Beds were very comfortable. Our kids did not want to leave the home to go to the beach, they had so much fun in the pool and the game room. There is something in the home for everyone. The kitchen had high end appliances, and the outside chairs were very comfortable. The location of the house is near restaurants, beach and shopping. Our stay was absolutely perfect and the whole family had the best time. One helpful tip: if you have a small dog that can not climb stairs, bring a backpack carrier for the dog, so you can have your hand free to carry other things. Bringing a carrier was a huge help since our dog was too small to get up and down the stairs.

This house was absolutely perfect! So nice and clean, great spa and pool, loved the bbq pit! The kids had a blast downstairs on the hockey table, playing board games, and watching tv on the large tv! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

We have been coming to Galveston for 15 years and this was by far the best experience we have had! The owners were extremely helpful and easy to work with. The property was even better than described in the listing. Everything we could possibly want was provided, along with some extra personal touches. We look forward to staying again next year! these guys have thought of it all, it’s a great house for a large family, or a group of adults! plenty of space so you don’t feel like you’re on top of one another. all of us mentioned many times that ‘we’d come back here with the kids!’ the only but, as many people have said, the pool not being heated, that was a bummer as we had some great pool days, but couldn’t use the pool. book the house! you’ll love it

We had a great time at this property. It was perfect for our needs. The hot tub was great to have in March when the pool was too cold. The little kids loved the giant connect 4 game. The deck was a favorite. The kitchen/dining/living open concept was perfect for our large family. We also loved the basement game area. The home is equipped with all of the daily necessities. The rooms and beds were comfy. This is the most updated house in the block and perhaps the neighborhood. The neighborhood left a lot to be desired. Although the house is a walking distance (~5 blocks) from the beach, there are no side walks and the neighborhood is sort of run down. Other than that, the house was great.
