We enjoyed Thanksgiving week here! It was relaxing, hearing the waves of the gulf right below the deck!

It was so pleasant listening to the waves crash on the rocks, just underneath the porch. And swimming was just a short walk away. House was very clean tidy and comfortable

As always this home is a great location for our annual getaways and any other vacations. It is our fourth time staying and each time has been as good or better than the last. Sheryl makes the process seamless, easy, and a joy for her guests.

We had a great time at the property. The view was amazing and right on the water. The beach close by was great with plenty of space and great long walks. Thank you for having us stay at your beautiful beach getaway!

This beach house was lovely! Waking up to miles of ocean right out the windows couldn’t be beat. We saw dolphins right from the deck and the bird watching was great! The sound of waves crashing against the shore was hypnotic! It’s our new favorite place!

This home was booked as a getaway for my 40th birthday. I am so soothed by the sound of the ocean, so when I saw this home was available, I couldn't wait. Suffice to say, this home didnt disappoint. We LOVED our time here. The water crashed right at the base of the deck off the front of the home. The view was majestic. We watched storms roll in over the water, we watched dolphins swim out in front of the house on a calm water day, and watched our neighbors pull fish after fish out of the water from their deck (we didnt bring fishing gear this time, but will next time). The pocket beach 1 house over was PERFECT for our needs. We were able to get some sun, and also get out in the water. In regards to the house, the amenities were exactly as described. The air condition blew cold the whole time, the kitchen was well outfitted, and I was THRILLED that the beds were comfortable. The location was SO nice, we could easily get to Galveston for all its restaurants and entertainment, but we were far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet of the ocean. All in all, this was an amazing trip, and we will be back. Also, it's worth noting, the bridge from surfside to San Luis is a toll bridge that is $2 in cash each direction.

Great place right on the ocean. Constant breeze and beautiful sunrises. Nice beach just a short walk away. About 40 minutes into Galveston if you are so inclined to explore the sights there

There is no beach at all in front of the house, there is a tiny sandy area at the house over to the left but not accessible when the tide is up. My son couldn’t use the bunk bed without having to completely remake the bed so he slept in a bed with someone else. Ice maker and filtered water on refrigerator didn’t work but a countertop ice maker was provided so that helped some. Plenty of cookware and towels. Directions to the home definitely were not clear, do not use Apple Maps you will get lost, we finally found it using google maps. Overall had a good time minus some bumps in the description of the house.

Had the most amazing trip. Quiet, comfortable, clean, and fully equipped. This will be our go to destination in the future. Everything you could ask for and you cannot get any closer to the water. Fish right from the deck. Absolutely 💯 perfect.

Our stay could not have been better!

Great house, great location! We've stayed at this house several times. The beds are comfortable, everything is clean, the kitchen is well stocked and very organized. We love the beach and fishing (we caught alot of speckled trout and a bull red, a few small sharks were also caught right in front of the deck). This house checked all of our boxes! We had a minor issue with the coffee pot, Sheryl was very quick to respond and very accommodating. Can't wait to come back.

2 families of 4 had a great stay! The location is just as described, right on the ocean. The pocket beach is a nice quick dip in the water, but the large beach right down the road is where the kids had the most fun. The house is fully stocked as others have mentioned except for grill tools. The beds and linens are excellent. There were plenty of extra beach towels and 3-4 beach chairs on the deck to use. As mentioned in the title, you can fish right off the patio deck! At night you can't beat the waves crashing while enjoying awesome stargazing.

Online booking was quick and easy. We were looking for a place that we could hear the waves. This home did not disappoint our first stay at the gulf. Home was clean and plenty of room for our family. Water was so close and the beach was close enough to walk to. Beach was clean and not to crowded. Home was everything we wanted and Sheryl was so helpful.

The location is right on the water. We were there during hurricane Hannah so the water was higher than usual. You can drive to the beach and park your car there so you have everything you need at the beach. The waves were great for boogey boarding. The house was very nice and everything was provided.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse beach house! The house had absolutely everything we needed and more! The house and decor is beautiful and the location was perfect! Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the views were amazing. We greatly appreciated the ice machine, use of beach chairs, beach towels and toys. Sheryl was quick to respond with any questions and checking in with us during our stay. We hope to vacation here again next year! Thank you!

We stayed at this property 2 years ago and loved it so decided to come back. The house is definitely showing some wear. The patio over the water was great and we enjoyed siting there at night! However, we were disappointed with the pocket beach next door, which has been washed away and is not usable. That was one of the main reasons we loved this property on our previous stay so we were disappointed that we now had to drive to the beach instead of taking a few steps. The home includes everything a family might need for a relaxing stay. Overall it was a nice, relaxing visit.

This was our third trip and as always we had a fabulous time ! We even caught fish off the deck this trip ( catfish and redfish) . Perfect location , amazing view , and everything you need to relax and recharge . Will Definately be back !!

The house was well maintained, stocked with everything (other than food) that we needed. The covered patio is great for hanging out and watching the waves. Our kids enjoyed playing on it and we felt safe with them there since there is a gate that can be locked to keep them from falling down the steps. The pocket beach was great! Just steps away and it was a great semi-private place to swim, sit out under the sun, and let the kids play in the sand. The only downside of this rental is that it is not near any restaurants. However, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, easy stay, this is a great place!!!

My wife, 3 year old daughter, my parents, and I all stayed at Sheryl's place for a week near the end of July. It was a true vacation in every sense. Lovely home, well appointed, relaxing, great location, and the bed/pillows were somehow more comfortable than my own. Impossible? Apparently not. The pocket beach next door was perfect for the family, especially the toddler. The water depth was great, not coming over waist high even dozens of yards off shore. The waves were tame enough for the 3 year old. Under the house is the world's greatest (and well shaded) sandbox. The porch is amazing for meals, reading, fishing (although we had a lot more luck in the surf), flying kites, water gun fights, and general hanging out. Sheryl was pleasant to deal with, always quick to respond, and handled any issues that arose as fast as possible. We'd be thrilled to come back and enjoy more of the charms of Treasure Island and its adorable neighborhood.

The Lighthouse lived up to its billing. Great place for a family stay. The pictures are nice, but in person it’s even nicer. It feels like you are right on the water. We loved our morning coffee on the balcony while we watched the sunrise. Seeing dolphins swim by was a plus too. Beach right next door was private and very clean.

Beautiful home just as shown in the pictures and our host Sheryl was top-notch. So many amenities and you really are ON THE BEACH in this premium property. Fishing from the deck was fun and the pocket beach was perfect for our young granddaughter. We were so comfortable in this home and only left one evening for a wonderful dinner "in town" at the Red Snapper in Surfside. We hope to be back!

This was our second visit and we are already planning another trip next summer 😊

We loved everything about this place. The house was nicely furnished and very comfy. Enjoyed the water being so close and the private beach area. Will definitely return.

An absolutely wonderful home to stay in right on the coast. Literally! Beautifully furnished with all very current appliances. We stayed for three lovely days but unfortunately the weather didn’t want to cooperate. Thankfully the house was stocked with plenty of games and a nice TV to keep us entertained. The porch has a great view of the bay that compliment the sounds of the waves breaking below. The hosts were very communicative before during and after. We can’t thank them enough for opening their wonderful home to us.

The Lighthouse is VERY nice, looks almost exactly as pictured, is absolutely spotless on the inside, and very comfortable! And you can’t possibly get any closer to the gulf. We LOVED hearing/watching the surf. The pelicans and other sea birds are abundant – and it’s fun to watch them dive-bomb for fish. The sunrises are lovely. The small pocket beach one house over is super – especially if you have young kids, plus there are 2 other very large beaches a short walk away. We actually liked sitting in beach chairs (very nice ones BTW) UNDER the house, in the sand – soooo much cooler than the deck OR the beach, and you still can watch the ocean and quickly take a dip with a quick jaunt over to the pocket beach. The kitchen was well-stocked and there were also plenty of spices. It was more than big enough for my husband and me – you could easily fit 2-4 more adults. The bathroom situation might get a little tight with 6 adults, unless you’re GOOD friends or family. ;-) As nice as the house is, I don’t think I can say enough about the owners -- they contacted me promptly the first time and every time afterwards, and SO KIND!! We were in the area for a medical treatment and they bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our stay! I would rent this place again in a HEARTBEAT based solely on the caring, attentive way the owners treated us - - seriously! May want to bring: paper OR cloth napkins, paper plates, laundry detergent (what is provided is just for washing a load of sheets, towels before you check-out), dryer sheets. Also, full-fledged grocery stores are a “fur” distance away so have what you need when you arrive! BUT DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RENT THIS PLACE!! :-)

This place was everything we were looking for. Lots of room and very nicely decorated. Comfy and easy to move right in and relax. We fished off the porch and it's only a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach. Perfect for a Mothers Day weekend!

We had another great stay at The Lighthouse! Of course, the house is perfectly appointed with beach and bath towels, every pot and pan and kitchen utensil needed, and comfortable inviting furniture. This trip was especially exciting because we caught multiple stingrays and a shark (as well as several other kinds of fish). We’ll be back!

The weather didn't cooperate, but we hardly noticed. The house was lovely and comfortable, the Gulf was literally at the edge of the house. We were able to fish from the deck, relax with the sound of the surf in the background. Everyone had a great time, we are looking forward to doing it again.
