The decor is creative and tasteful (at least as good as TV interior designers' work and better than many of them), the cottage is well equipped with high quality kitchen implements. The views are stunning and only around 25min drive from Pretoria CBD. Huge living space. Loads of above and beyond touches in the furnishings, consumables, equipment and furniture.

Lounge furniture not very comfortable and mattress not too great. The cottage is attached to the main house and seems to be in the middle of a working farmyard. A lot of activity, a lot of coming and going and some noise. Also a feeling of being overlooked unless the blinds are kept closed. (Probably not a problem if you plan to be out most of the day) Gas geyser a bit temperamental. Traveling via the N4, there are two toll gates between Pretoria and the property, which can get a bit busy during peak traffic times. Alternative routes available, but I didn't try them. Short distance of dirt road (reasonable condition) to the property. Not much of a problem but it would have been good to know before going.

I don't know where to start. The cottage is modern and cosy. I loved the attention to detail. We did not short anything. The fact that loadshedding didn't affect our stay at all was awesome. Everything is gas operated, and they have batteries for back-up. It was the perfect breakaway from the city life. There is a beautiful picnic area not far from the cottage. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality x
